It really doesn't seem like they have interest in calling potential clients back. After starting the beginning stages they told me they'd call me back and never did. I hired them to represent my disability case in April of this year. I was told by Parmele that I could earn no more than $1550 gross per month in order to be eligible. I was working 22 hours per week and my gross income was under the maximum amount of $1550 per month. Parmele filed my disability claim on April 18th, 2024 and after waiting for three months, I was notified by Social Security that my application had been denied. I called Parmele and told them that it had been denied and was told that they'd let someone on their team know and that as soon as I received my denial letter in the mail to call them back, as it had pertinent information on it that they needed to file the appeal. Well, Parmele called me a couple of days later and said that I had gone over the maximum amount I could earn monthly and that is why my claim had been denied. I told them that was not true and how many hours I had been working and that it fell under the $1,550 per month. Parmele then said that in the state of Kansas, you are only allowed to work 20 hours per week when filing a disability claim, even if more hours still fall under the maximum amount. No one ever told me this at any point from the time I contacted Parmele in April. In fact, I never had one phone call or any kind of communication from Parmele from the time they filed my claim in April until I called them after the denial. All I was ever told was that I had to keep my gross income under $1550 per month. I even have the paperwork that I signed and it says nothing about 20 hours per week; only that I cannot go over $1550 per month, gross. I then asked what I was supposed to do and was told I would have to start over, only working 20 hours per week and provide paystubs to Social Security and that basically the last three months had been a waste of time. Think twice before hiring them. Horrible communication and apparently they don't know all the legalities of disability claims. read more

although everyone was nice, I was lied to and in 2 and a half years, they did not update my file at the social security office. don't trust them unless you have time to call them every day. read more

I made contact with this Law Firm in Feb 2014 about a week later a Lady called me from her home in Bolivar she was not a Lawyer we briefly discussed my case about a week later I received a packet I was told to fill out the paperwork and Mail back to Parmele Law she also gave me a date and time that a Lawyer from the Law Firm would call me to discuss my case the phone call never came in the mean time I was still having treatment from my Doctor and had hopes of going back to work so I did not pursue the issue, fast forward 6 months later my Doctor advised me to proceed with a disability claim my thoughts were that having not ever heard a word from Parmele Law that they were to busy or maybe after review of my packet that maybe I did not have a case I called another large firm in Springfield I was told that I could start my claim by myself on line so I did in late August and with the assistance of a Lady from Social Security office over a period of around 6 weeks I got thru the process and was approved in early December at no time did I have any assistance from Parmele Law Firm or contact of any kind fast forward to Jan 2016 I receive a letter from Social Security startling that I had received a overpayment of 3850.00 that Parmele Law Firm was trying to collect I have been fighting this BS since Jan 2016 it's to the point now that Social Security is going to start garnishing my disability check for the next three years to pay this Law Firm that did nothing for me in any way a Firm that I had ZERO contact of any kind for 15 months now has there hand out for 3850.00 I did the entire claim by myself I have never spoken to a Lawyer from that firm I have never been to the location of that firm nor at anytime did I ever receive confirmation that they had taken my case do yourself a favor run far far far away read more
