Excellent option for a relaxed all-in (exclusive drinks) resort. Among the pluses: super fun wave pool, relaxing hot pool, tons of things to do including supervised entertainment for kids, comfortable lodgings, beautiful surroundings, and good and friendly service.
When you arrive you receive a card with your name on it that you use for any in-resort purchases during your stay (drinks, tube rental, massage, etc). Very convenient. Prices are very reasonable; not marked up (for example 3 caipirinhas deal for R22).
As for options to stay you can choose a chalet, suite, or hotel. We rented a 'suite' which had a double and two singles. Simple but comfortable. Chalets are for up to 6 or 7 people.
So, why not 5 stars? The (free) wifi is spotty and weak (there's no cell phone coverage in the park), there are no water slides in the pool, and the food wasn't always as good as I'd hoped (too salty; breakfast and deserts were consistently excellent).
The park and hotel are not new but in excellent condition and clearly well maintained. Decoration is a bit kitschy / cheesy at times but not a put-off. It's about 2-2.5 hours drive from BH, via excellent roads. (R4.20 in toll.) read more
