Its absolutely wonderful and a breath of fresh air in busy Guadalajara. It get very busy on the weekends, but its huge and worth the trip definitely. There are very large different section so you can find what you are looking for. There is an area with a pond for dogs, a big area with dirt jumps, privacy, people watching. Its huge so you can stroll or throw down a blanket and enjoy. I love this park!

Very poor access to a public park for anyone who isn't in perfect condition. They guard wasn't very nice about it and just walked away. Big thumbs down Update: a officer chased me down with my scooter and gave it back so I can see the park. Not sure what happened there!

Find the small Japanese garden and the "castle." Public art decorate the park throughout. Note that dogs are NOT allowed.

You don't want to be turned away, 3k after you pay the minor fee because there's no time to hike in (2 more kilometers ) and back on foot. Be sure to get an early start if you do. The disappointment to me, however, was pretty minor. I just enjoyed being out in nature and the adventure of... not getting lost. If you want to take the bus in from Guadalajara it's about an hour ride. Cross the street/higway and stay left on the little road near the restaurant the whole way. You'll probably put 7k on your boots to get all the way there if you don't get horses. (My son is still afraid of horses after a trip to the Dells a few years ago. So, we hoofed it.) I highly recommend getting to at least one of the natural areas when visiting Guadalajara. The terrain here was pretty easy walking, and we did enjoy our selves even if we didn't get all the way in.

On the other hand, it's an oasis with paths, a playground, sculptures, and several "houses" with birds and butterflies. (They have weird hours to see the birds and butterflies so check the website ahead of time.) Another thing to note is that this park is enclosed by a fence and there are very few entrances and exits.

Park has a walkway to cross the street, plenty of kids playing, playgrounds, paths, people jogging or walking, and even an event with schoolchildren being honored for something (my Spanish wasn't good enough to understand!) Also has go karts for the kids.
