Doing business with Parr Marine Construction was a disappointing and frustrating experience. The main problem is that they just do not feel that it is important to actually do what they promised the customer they are going to do. They are the masters of "no one showed up, no one called". In July I accepted a proposal by Parr to install a boat lift at my home. The ONLY requirement was that the job had to be completed by September 30. This was readily agreed to, no problem. After hearing nothing from the company for 2 months, I reached out around mid September because I was concerned about them making the agreed deadline. From this point on I have a very well documented series of broken promises to show up and complete the job. (Well documented because you can not reach them by phone. The best you can do is send an email and hopefully get a reply in a couple of days). In fact, I never spoke to Mike Parr again after the initial meeting in July. They simply don't show up when they promise to. They don't even bother to call and make up an excuse as to why they didn't show. They don't even feel there is anything wrong with treating the customer with so much disrespect. They think I am the jerk for complaining. Of course there is more to the story but you get the gist. Needless to say the deadline was missed by almost 2 weeks. Bottom line is there are several reputable companies in Charlotte county that do sea walls, lifts and docks. You will be much happier choosing one of them. read more

I have not used their services personally, but as a realtor I do contact them when I need information about existing docks/equipment they have installed. They are always pleasant to deal with and they provide information that is extremely beneficial to my clients. read more

Mike Parr misrepresented electrical requirements.. It cost us an extra $3500 to bring electric up to requirements.

Parr Marine would not refund money for services not performed. After 4-5 phone calls finally got an appointment with the owner to try & get a refund for electrical work not performed. They refused to even refund $100. Bad business ! Buyer beware. They insisted on getting paid in full prior to work being completed. I should have stuck to my guns & withheld some money. read more

The SlideMoor system survived Irma and, due to it, so did our boat. The system held tight from the time that all of the water was swept out of the canals and the boat was likely on the bottom of the canal to the time that the tidal surge combined with high tide the next morning to test the upper limits of the SlideMoor system. The SlideMoor held for both the downward and upward movements of the water due to Irma. I was able to monitor the boat through my video security system but was far away during the hurricane. The after Irma picture was taken by a neighbor who sat out the storm. The boat fared better than the walkway and the dock box. read more
