This iconic church is well positioned at the western end of the promenade in Gijon, so it is usually part of many pictures of Gijon that highlight the sea, the promenade or the historic center. The church of San Pedro, built between 1945 and 1955 today, occupies the site of the 15th century temple that functioned as the city's parish church until the end of the 19th century. I went in during a mass service and the lighting inside the church was very bright and very well set up. read more
