The church of Sant Miquel, is one of the four oldest churches in Palma. It is dedicated to the patron saint of Miquel de Fabra, the confessor of King James I, the Conqueror.
This church is supposedly built on the site where the main mosque of the city of Madina Mayurqa was located during the island's period of Islamic rule. All that remains of the original Gothic church is the façade, with an excellent image of Saint Michael, and the square bell tower. The church was rebuilt in the 17th century in the Baroque style. A must see. read more
