The nice view of the lake was a perfect setting for the sunset as we enjoyed delicious food and wonderful music on the patio. Later on, we went inside and as I walked through the silent auction hallways, I noticed that the A/C was not enough for all the people in there, we were a little bit hot. But everything worked out perfectly fine once we went inside the ballroom on the third floor, where we had a night to remember, with amazing music, lighting, food, and so much fun. Restrooms were all clean and fully equipped. Security guards were there at all times. They offered free WiFi and we also got free shuttles to the parking garage. Thank you. I am incredibly astounded at the condition of the salt shakers. I am well aware that cleaning salt shakers can be a gigantic pain in the ass, but if you have metal tops, please take a moment to dry them before placing them back on the shaker. We had 2 non functioning salt shakers at the table and upon opening them we found clumped salt all the way to the shaker top and rust...yes rust!! The amount of money they charge per person should buy me a smile and rust-free salt shakers. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

I found parking after about 10 minutes and walked up two blocks to Biscayne. At Biscayne plenty of businesses had set up shop either opening their doors or having tables outside. I walked into several shops and chatted with different vendors. I even scored a cupcake. Definitely a nice way to spend a few hours. I only wish some of the large, national chains would have set up tables outside and I do hope they offered some sort of MiMo discount. I only wish there would have been more interactive activities for kids and adults alike. Additionally, more crosswalks and maybe even re-routing traffic for a couple of blocks would be nice. Although I know with Biscayne that may be a little more difficult. I'm looking forward to seeing this festival mature and attract a large following.

Boy, was I wrong. In case you didn't know, and I had been trying to find out for a while as well, MiMo on BiBo stands for Miami Modern on Biscayne Boulevard. Ohh, yeah. The festival was apparently 50s-themed (which doesn't make sense, but whatever), and there was a parade, a bunch of music all over the place, and my favorite: several restaurants were doing special promotions. These restaurants gave out pretty generous food samples that ranges for free-free-free to about $4 a pop. I'm so glad they did this because I would have hardly stop at any of these restaurants otherwise. I personally tried out samples/food/drinks from Moshi Moshi, Moonchine, the farmer's market, Verdaddy's, and some organic sandwich place that I really wish I remembered the name of because it was AWESOME. Anyway, it was great to see so many people walking around an area that is usually barren or has the random hooker or two. It ain't so bad, y'all! Hopefully they'll keep doing this as there are a lot of great businesses here to make this area what it deserves to be.

This venue was shining like a jewel. The acoustics were superb. The staffers were friendly and helpful. The show went off magnificently, and though the performers were the stars, stars need a beautiful sky as the backdrop, and this venue made it even more magical. Who would have thought that the highlight of a trip to Miami Beach would be an indoor performance rather than the beach? We hope to return.

It is a huge tent set up for this event only. There was quite a crowd here today. It's open tomorrow also. They do charge you a fee of $125 for all you can eat and an Open Bar, air conditioning and Rodeo seats. The food selections were great: empanadas, tacos, salads, hamburgers, etc. They had quite a crowd who enjoyed dancing, the Latin music and Top 40. We came with friends and all had a good time after attending the rodeo, which was so exciting this year. We needed a cool drink after all that. Servers were good and friendly. It's 80° today.
