It leaked several times onto his brand new mattress and destroyed it. Which they didn't care about. Then mold popped up in his ceiling out of nowhere. My son had sinus issues from day one in that place. Now that he's not there he is fine. This property management place does not care about keeping things safe and clean. But oh when the rent is one day late they let you know. I would not recommend them to anyone. And the dumps they rent out should be boarded up and destroyed!!!!!!!!

They never returned calls and never picked up the phone. It would get so bad that I would end up having to go to their office to even get a response. They also had us move in a day after the other tenet moved out. Because of their poor management and timing, they didn't have enough time to get the house ready for us. There were nails galore throughout the whole house, light bulbs that were burnt out, missing screens in our windows and they didn't clean the floors before we came in. When it came to our security deposit, they ended up depositing it all to our one roommate which was fine, but what wasn't fine is that they lied and said they asked us if that was ok to do. None of us were asked if it was ok, they just did it and then lied saying that they did ask. Working with maintenance was also a hassle. When we would put in a request they would email us saying when they would be coming, and then they would show up a week later. Overall not the best experience with this property management group, however I did love the house we lived in and wouldn't trade those memories for the world! Hence why I gave it 2 stars.

Sexton Family Properties is one of two rental companies owned by Chad Sexton. He has apartments…read morearound Michigan. I rented from him in Mt. Pleasant, MI, around the campus of Central Michigan University. To start, I have never met Chad Sexton. I viewed the apartment through his "regional manager" Dave Acles, and was told Mr. Sexton lived in Florida, which is why he was unavailable to show me the apartment himself. The apartments are nothing special, and the one I rented wasn't even clean when I moved in, but it was nothing I couldn't fix. I rented the apartment for 6 months and decided to move. After 2 weeks of calling the manager to tell him that I would not be renewing my lease, I was instructed to leave the key and my forwarding address in the mailbox, which I did. Here's where it starts to get...fun. After a month I had not received a list of damages or any reason as to why I had not yet received my security deposit. Several days later, I was able to contact the manager, who assured me that Chad would be sending my deposit and he would get in contact with him. I again gave him my address and phone number to contact me. Another month passed and still no security deposit. Again, the manager assured me I would receive it soon, but because Chad was in Florida communications were often slow. Two more months passed and still nothing. Finally, I went to the manager and said I would be pressing charges if I did not get a phone number and address where I could reach Chad myself. Turns out, he does NOT live in Florida...he lives two hours away in Swartz Creek. I first emailed Mr. Sexton. He responded and told me to call his office so we could "take care of this right away." The next day, I called his office, and left a voicemail message because no one responded. I did the same thing the next day. After 2 weeks, I still had not heard from Mr. Sexton. Finally, I had had enough. I filed a claim against Mr. Sexton and Sexton Family Properties. Mr. Sexton did not show up to the hearing, and the judgement was awarded in my favor. Almost exactly one year after I moved out of the apartment, I will finally be receiving my security deposit within the next two months, one way or another. It is ridiculous for someone to conduct business in this manner. I left that apartment in better condition than I found it, and I am entitled to my security deposit. I should not have had to fight so hard for it. In my opinion, spend a little extra for an apartment with another company, because this one is not worth the hassle.

Not only was the…read morelayout of the place terrible but paint was peeling, the bathroom tiles were coming off the walls and there is a giant hole in the ceiling of one of the closests. But I can forgive all that, my main problem is with the disgusting treatment of myself. Me and my wife had an argument one night that got to loud, one of our neighbors called the old guy and he insisted I meet with him to discuss things. Saying it's a violation for noise which is true but upon me stating that I have ptsd, social anxiety as well as many other disorders he simply diss-missed them as exscuses. He refused to talk over the phone over an issue that could've been taken care of. He has since given us thirty days notice due mostly because he doesn't like me. He has also insulted me as a man, a father and his 1950s beliefs are frustrating to deal with. There are so many other better higher quality landlords to choose from in MP just stay away from someone who thinks it's ok to force somone into a uncomftble situation. Not to mention he did all this during covid while me and my wife and son were forced to find a new home.

I have worked in the real estate industry for many years, and I am fully aware of what qualities to look for in an Agent, whether buying or selling. Nick's professionalism, promptness, and ethics are exemplary. The sale was quick and efficient, and whatever was needed to be addressed, corrected or updated, was handled in the most effective manner. Lastly, apart from his valued integrity, Nick's smile and encouragement was always a stress reliever. For numerous reasons, I would highly and sincerely recommend Nick to both home sellers and buyers. Coldwell Banker is fortunate to have Nick on their team!

Her first automatic response is "I'm not convinced ____ is a problem". She would also complain about money and her personal life. We always paid her rent even when we didn't want to. While we were there, the only thing she followed through on was getting pest control for the bats and rodents in the walls of the house, but that was still stressful. We finally left that house and the facts stand as the electricity is not split evenly between the two units in her house, the electricity has not been evaluated by another electrician to make sure it is grounded properly (the first guy said it wasn't), and we did not receive an itemized list of damages or our deposit at all. Some business writing classes would help too, as her emails were not business like at all.
