When I moved to Colorado ten years ago, I was in search of a chiropractor to continue the treatment I had been receiving in Canada (I was experiencing neck pain and severe headaches from sports related injuries). I identified several chiropractors in my area via my company's medical insurance providers "in network" directory. After visiting several chiropractors I quickly realized that chiropractors are not created equal - in fact, I experienced MORE pain after a few visits to one chiropractic office - VERY frustrating. I finally consulted my chiropractor in Canada and he recommended Dr. Peter Ray (as Dr. Ray's approach and methodology was very similar to his own). Dr. Ray is a miracle worker! His treatment plan quickly addressed my neck pain and I was headache free after a few sessions. He provided me with a series of maintenance stretches and explained in simple terms what was causing the pain and how to address the pain if I had a flare up. Finally! I now feel like I am in control of my chronic neck pain and headaches - I now know what triggers the pain, how to address the pain myself via stretches and exercises, and when to visit Dr. Ray for an adjustment. In addition to treating my neck pain, Dr. Ray identified an issue I was having with my heel rubbing in my shoe. The pain was becoming increasingly annoying and it was interfering with my day-to-day life (e.g. traveling for work, playing hockey, mountaineering, etc.) Initially, I went to a podiatrist to address the issue - the podiatrist brushed me off and told me that nothing was wrong. Why not mention this to Dr. Ray - perhaps he could address my foot pain. Dr. Ray quickly identified the problem: my foot pain was merely a symptom - the real issue was my hip - my hip was shifted out of place by more than two inches (which caused my right leg to be two inches "shorter" than the left, which was the root of the foot pain I was experiencing). Dr. Ray connected me with a reputable podiatrist who designed custom orthotics for my shoes. As well, Dr. Ray connected me with a physical therapist that created a rehabilitation plan. And last but not least, Dr. Ray scheduled regular chiropractic adjustments into the overall plan and monitored my progress - he orchestrated everything. I have Dr. Ray to thank for identifying the root cause of my foot paint I cannot even begin to imagine where I would be today if Dr. Ray did not identify the source of the problem. After my car accident I was not looking forward to therapy. WHO WOULD BE??? I was nervous about the process and what I would be up against in trying to find the right treatment center. I have been visiting Dr. Ray for about 10 years. I wasted a lot of time and money at the hospital having scans and biopsies performed that revealed absolutely nothing. It was frustrating. Dr. Ray worked on me for a few sessions years ago and got the agonizing pain in my ribs to go away ... and stay away. As I got older, my body continued to change. Once again, the hospital people came up empty handed. I saw Dr. Ray recently and had some dry needling done. Dry needling is acupuncture but it is done at a deeper level below the skin, with longer and heavier needles that stimulate trigger points and get major muscle groups to relax almost instantly. He needled the big muscles in my traps and lower back on two different occasions. The headache and numbness going down my arms responded nicely. It's gone. The dull ache in my lower back and down my legs has diminished. I need one more lower back treatment and I think I will be good for a while until something else crops up in this old body. After over a week of pain and numbness in my neck and shoulder with pain running all the way down my arm and into my hands, I could not take it any longer. Going to see my regular doctor first and given anit-inflamitories and pain meds with a recommendation that if things did not get better to get X-rays, possible CAT Scan and MRI and physical therapy if things did not get better in a few days. Well needless to say the medicine did not help at all. The other options sounded so expensive even with health insurance not to mention all the time I would have to take off from work for all of this. I got a refural from a friend for Dr. Ray. I did not even make an appointment, I was in so much pain. Dr. Ray got me in right a way and said that he could help me! I was so relieved. After a few appointments of adjustments and a deep tissue massage I am feeling so much better. I have been seeing dr ray for about 5 years now. I first started going when my back was acting up my senior year of high school. I played sports year around and things just seemed to get worse as the year went on. I finally visited partners in health and found that I have a minor case of scholiosis. Which explained shoulder, knee, and hip issues I had been having. Doctor ray went over stretches to keep my muscles from tightening up too much. And after leaving the first appointment I immediately felt like a new person. I always do. Whenever I start to get head aches or my lower back starts tensing up I know it's time for a realignment and every time, with out fail I leave the office pain free! Good things: office is nice and Dr. Ray adjusted my lower back. It wasn't a chronic pain, but it appeared after hiking for too long with a heavy backpack. One time visit and resting for a week was enough to feel good. It was a very simple case. Bad things: if you're okay paying around $185 for 20-30 min visit, go for it. I claim that they said they would charge $50 and won't run it through my insurance. So I paid $50 after the visit and I was happy. 2 months later I receive a bill for additional $135. Now they claim that it was my co-pay (which I don't have and I never pay co-pay in other clinics). They run it through my insurance, even though I was told they wouldn't do it. Without insurance, they would've charge $150 for a first visit (what they say now, after the fact). Overall, I think the clinic is nice, but paying $185 for 20-30 min. and for a simple case like mine is way to much. read more

I have been a server/bartender for 13yrs. I have always suffered from back pain but when I became pregnant the pain was unbearable. Thanks to Peter Ray, I have returned to my normal activities and physically active life. Seven years ago I injured my back, and for awhile I thought I was always going to be uncomfortable. Peter explained what was causing the pain, why I needed the medication I was on for awhile, and what types of strengthening exercises I could do so that I could protect my back and gradually be able to get off of medication. Today, I do not need pain medication, except for the occasional aspirin, and am back to riding horses, working/training horses and various outdoor activities. I had a work injury and was sent to Partners in Health. I had back, neck and arm pain. Peter Ray and especially his staff was excellent. Every time I arrived they welcomed me and immediately started to work on me. I took roughly about 4 months and my back and neck were close to 100%. My shoulder and arm took longer to work on and they suggested exercises and purchased a few items that the therapist recommended and she worked on me there with her own equipment. I just finished and plan to go at least once a month just to stay healthy. Dr Ray and his staff are really easy to work with and I am completely satisfied with the work on me. I was referred to Dr. Ray by my previous chiropractor when I moved to Westminster. I've been seeing him for 13 or so years now. Initially I saw Dr. Ray frequently for chronic headache, but now I mainly see him monthly for maintenance. Dr. Ray makes it very easy to setup an urgent appointment if needed, and regular appointments are a breeze. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The new office is easier to get to and is clean and neat. The wait time from entering the office to getting treatment is usually only a minute or two. Dr. Ray did a great job helping me with my hip. I experienced an injury to my hip while working out and my coach suggested looking into Trigger Point Dry Needling to help. I did some searching around, I found Dr. Ray's practice. When I showed up and explained my issue, Dr. Ray knew immediately what was wrong and began treatment. Dr. Ray explained that I had a sciatic issue, which was a simple issue to fix. I underwent TDN treatment and some adjustments. After about four or five treatments, I felt much better. I had had almost 2 years of pain in my neck,back,tingling in my fingers and down my arm and not to mention the worst head aches ever. I am having a great experience with Dr. Ray. I had popped my back at about 23 weeks pregnant and was in severe pain. I had called my OBGYN to see what I could do and she referred me to Dr. Ray and I am so glad that I went. He diagnosed me within a session and that same day we got started on correcting my back. I may be biased since I have never visited another chiropractor, but I can say confidently that I always leave in 100% better condition than when I walk in. My visits started because my regular doctor prescribed physical therapy for my jaw after having my wisdom teeth removed. I injured my calf running and knew it was serious when I had trouble walking afterwards. I contacted one therapy office and was told (after nearly a week of phone tag) that I wouldn't be able to see anyone for nearly two months. After my 79th birthday, I noticed a dull ache in my left leg that gradually intensified over several months. Made it difficult to walk or put pressure on it. I saw several doctors, and couldn't find the cause of the pain. Had a shot on my back, but that didn't take care of it.
