We hired SPARK for a corporate event at Dos Pueblos Orchid Farms. It is a unique venue for a…read morecorporate event because the location does not have wifi, has bad cell service, and has minimal electrical outlets.  SPARK provided a very detailed quote and included things I forgot to even mention or didn't know we needed. They're very familiar with the venues in the area. They worked well based on the budget we had. Alex and his team also went to the venue for a site visit where we discovered a huge echo in the venue. They were creative and worked on ways to fix it. They also made sure our video wall wouldn't have a glare and we would have shading for when the sun hit directly on the greenhouse. Alex was also great as we had a bunch of performers who needed additional A/V support. He reached out to them and knew exactly what they needed. The team spent hours and hours setting up. It really was a huge production. On the day of, everything was great! The wifi went smoothly and the on-site techs were helpful. One thing to note is that our event was not completely waterproof so when it rained between day 1 and 2, SPARK had to make a few adjustments as some outlets weren't functioning and there was water on some things. They did so quickly before guests arrived. The before & after pictures don't even show all the work put into this! Alex and his team should have been hired for Fyre Fest because they are amazing with producing great events no matter what difficulties there are.

One of the highlights of our wedding was having Isaac as our photographer. Of course having good…read morephotographs is very important - and he took amazing photographs - but just as importantly he and his wife Nancy were just great to be around! Having Isaac as our wedding photographer felt like we had a very charming guest who just happened to be taking a lot of pictures. He made us laugh, he melted into the background when he needed to be out of the way, and he captured the essence of our wedding story. The morning after our wedding my husband and I took a walk around the lake and talked about the wedding. He told me how much he enjoyed our wedding, and how he was glad we hadn't just eloped like he kept suggesting during the excruciating planning process. He said that he was especially glad that we had hired Isaac as a photographer, that he reminded him of Roberto Benigni, and that he had brought such a positive energy to everything. We left for our honeymoon the week after the wedding, and Isaac stayed up all night to get our photos online for us. We were both taken aback at the amazing pictures he had taken of our wedding. It was really delightful to get to relive the wonderful experience through Isaacs beautiful photographs. If you are planning on hiring a photographer and you want someone who is going to go down the checklist and only get the standard wedding photographs, than Isaac might not be the right photographer for you. If you are looking for someone who is going to be delightful to have around, and will capture not only the standard group shots, but the moments you would never have thought to ask for that tell the story of your day, than we cannot recommend Isaac highly enough.

We worked with Bonnie up until the wedding day - and she was always attentive, responded to emails quickly, and was very reassuring that her goal was to make it the best wedding we could imagine. Well, she was right - John did an INCREDIBLE job!! We were blown away!! Despite our ceremony being on the beach (which can be noisy without speakers), John set up everything so that the ceremony flowed without issue and everyone could hear the music, the officiant, and us perfectly. For the reception (at El Paseo Restaurant), he played all the music we asked for (including the songs I requested for cocktail hour and dinner), read the crowd well, and was a great MC for the grand entrance, dances, speeches, and shoe game we did. Everyone was on the dance floor the whole night!! I even provided a "Do Not Play" list that John strictly followed - he didn't seem to feel pressured by guests (even my close family members) when they started requesting songs on the list. He held strong to what we asked for and I really appreciated that! It was just such a fun day!!
