We were having a Zoom Baby Shower and needed a few more items to complete the look. So off to Party City we went! It was a Saturday AM, and boy was the place hopping! Lots of people there (mostly picking up balloons). We had originally stopped at the store in Irondale, but they were out of what we were looking for. Hence the trip to 280! I have been to a few Party City's in my time doing events. When you need something last minute that is very specific, this is your most reliable. To be perfectly honest, with online ordering, this store is turning into a procrastination store. And unfortunately at this stage of life, that is me in so many cases. So live on Party City! In this case it was not for my job. But instead for balloons for my twins birthday. We were asked the week before about one of the giant number balloons we see all over town for birthdays. I tried to order pick up online. But everything was scheduled for the next day. So I called the store. The employee there was very helpful and told me they can get it done in 5 minutes of arrival if I asked for him. I wish I could remember his name. Because he even offered to pull the balloons to make it easy even though he couldn't inflate them. In addition to that, he called me back to tell me the ones he thought were in stock, actually weren't for the 5 that we wanted. He helped us pick out one that our kids would like in addition to a cluster of other ones to make it look full. My problem with Party City in the past is the lack of customer service. But this location made me change my tune. Way to come through in the clutch on this one! read more

I love the actual Party City store. They have everything you need for every occasion. I Want to celebrate my niece finally graduated from high school and wanted to do a drive-by graduation celebration. The sales associate at this location were very friendly and knowledgeable. I bought balloons and they told me that I should bring them back the day that I needed them to be blown up because the helium would only last 24hrs. The process was very quick. The only thing that o didn't like were the quality of the balloons. It happened to sprinkle at the graduation drive thru and the rain drops popped the balloons. We were a bit disappointed. All in all the store is great, but I just wished we knew that the balloons weren't thick enough to withstand raindrops. read more

We were trying to find a few items to help decorate our walls for our virtual baby shower. We had already tried one party city, and it was out of the items we wanted. They have a huge selection for all kinds of events - birthdays, weddings / weddings showers, baby showers, Halloween, St Patrick's Day, Mardi Gras, etc - if its at event or holiday, they most likely have something for it. This location had much more in stock then the previous store we stopped at, and we were easily able to find what we were looking for very quickly. They had multiple checkout lanes open and we were able to get out without hassle. I'd come back here again. read more

they suck. i tried to return something 20 MINUTES after i bought it but couldn't get a refund because "you can't return halloween items within 7 days of halloween". when i first purchased the item i didn't get told anything about this. so frustrated! read more

I purchased several items online to add to my mom's cake table for her birthday. I received an email within two hours that my order was ready. I was pleased with the timing being that it was Christmas Eve. I headed over to the store and when I arrived I was greeted by Santa. I inquired about the pick-up area and he asked for my name and proceeded to get my order without me taking any extra steps. All items were accounted for and I think I did pretty good with the total especially after the percentage off on certain things in my cart. Nice place to shop if planning an event. read more

I had to pick up my honey bun balloons for her bday! This particular location was conveniently placed on my 280 route. Well I called in about 30-45 mins because I am a bit of a procrastinator. The young lady answered all my questions and I even had her picking the balloons out for me over the phone. I told her what I needed and she made it happen (pics below). I told her I was 30 mins out. She said she would have the balloons at the register. In which she did... but what I didn't expect was the long af wait.. boy I was aggravated but only at myself because I waited until the last minute. 5 stars for the customer service and preparedness. read more

I stopped in at Party City to pickup some supplies for a birthday weekend getaway. I've never stopped by this location before but was delighted to find it in such a clean and organized manner. Everything was exactly as it should be and very easy to find. When I had a bit of trouble finding something the associate that I asked for help was so nice and greeted me with a warm smile. She took me right to what I needed to find and said she would be happy to help me find anything else. Afterwards, I went right up to the register to checkout. Went to exchange a Halloween costume and they didn't have anymore of the one I wanted in stock. They were out of quite a few costumes I wanted. While there I went to the bathroom. It was disgusting! Looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. I mentioned it to the manager and she appeared to care less. PLEASE DEEP CLEAN YOUR BATHROOMS. Customer service was average. Going to Party City is NO party. The attitude of every employee is and basically I'll tell you that we have it find it among the zillion things we have. Maybe that's their idea of fun. Wish I had another choice at this last minute. This also could be the reason why they are hiring. read more
