The sales associates always seem to be helpful and in a good mood. I have never had an issues with customer service at Party America. The store seems a little old but that does not seem to be a factor. I do think their prices are high on some things. Often it is difficult to judge because the bigger WhateverMart stores can do volume pricing. Perhaps just the products that I buy at Party America are more expensive. I have been able to get some great deals, though. There are no coupons of which I am aware but that would be a huge help. Good selection, friendly customer service, easy access. Yeah, not a bad store for niche needs.

And they were courteous, considering the crowded store. The line was backed up clear to the door, moved fast. Very fast. I got in and out in 15 minutes. The thing is, this place is totally worth checking on just before the holidays, cause of the deals. Napkins, plates, holiday decorations galore! My wife was charged twice on an item, when she went back to discuss it, they were rude and told her to take it up with the credit card company. Those of you who no me, being in retail for years, I had an issue with this. I went to speak with the manager, a woman confronted me and said the same thing, to take it up with the credit card company. I explained I wanted to speak with the Manager of the store about it. She stated she did not think he was even there, but said she would check. She headed back to the back of the store, I followed, she said she would come back up to see me, I said I did not mind the wait. When she came back out she said I would have to wait 3 weeks according to the manager and it should fall off. I said that does not work for me, I would like to speak with the manager directly. She literally stated "He does not want to talk to you"! I said then I would like to speak with the District Manager above him and she said there is not one and started walking to the front of the store. I hollered into the back room, where I knew he was and stated I could not believe he would not come out to discuss my issue and that I would no longer be doing any business there. t that point he came marching out, shaking and loudly said, "Do you know how much money I lose from that credit card business? Over $200 a month!" I stated that is not my problem and that it did not give him the right to steal it from us. I tried to ask him to check the register tapes to see where the charge was to prove it was charged, the woman came back and told me to "Shut up!", I said, ma'am I am not speaking with you, I am trying to get this resolved with the Manager, he stormed off yelling in the back room. A young gentlemen came out of the back and asked if he could just do the refund in cash? I stated all I want is the credit back against the card for the erroneous charge, but if this makes it easier it would be fine. The young gentlemen refunded the amount and I left. All this over $8.86. The manager was obviously having a bad day and the woman was of no help in the matter It is sad to have to post this, especially since it is in our community, however, they have lost our business, which is considerable with what we do for Topeka West and French Middle School. I truly hope none of you have to go through this type of terrible customer service, beware of the Party America in Topeka next to PetSmart. MORAL: JUST LISTEN AND DO THE RIGHT THING!!!
