However, it later came to my attention that they had, in fact, made meeting arrangements with him, which caused significant distress and confusion during an already challenging time. Inconsiderate Scheduling: Despite my explicit request for a 24-hour grace period to rest after the passing of my mother at our home, the funeral home changed the appointment and insisted that I come in just 11 hours after her passing. This left me emotionally and physically drained, having not slept, and made me more susceptible to being pressured into arrangements I did not agree with. Disrespectful Treatment: During our meeting, the staff at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home were not only uncompassionate but also outright rude and insulting. Misleading Arrangements: I felt tricked into agreeing to certain arrangements that I did not initially consent to. This lack of clarity and transparency further added to the emotional turmoil I was experiencing. And although it didn't apply here, frankly it's an ugly property. Dad previously purchased plots for most of us. I did. have a horrible experience with them @ that time from Jennifer who was more concerned in trying to chase me down to sell me a spot. My nerves were shot. I missed my father's viewing before the funeral home closed completely for the night. She's not there but beware on other areas I'm told she's still in this business. I was promised things I never received from Dad's serve. I opted to stay with my grandchildren through much of it - however her treatment of me and duress in late 2028 - coming from out of state. I missed my father's funeral. To my knowledge with family and friends laid to rest @ here- we never had that experience since. I tried as did Mr. RIVERA to put some things back in place. He's worked tirelessly to actually research and inform. He never was able to locate any of the materials from my father's service as Jennifer had promised while she was hard selling me. But he tried, researched all the plots of my family. Worked very hard to assist. I then returned to a state which was a natural disaster with trauma and no support. While I was STUCK there my daughter was texting and calling and tensions high. Again - I needed to be WITH my family not having my nerves trashed by Jennifer who actually was the straws that broke my daughter and I that day. She destroyed my already troubled family with NO REGARDS for what we had all been through. It's left a lasting void, pain, and additional trauma and family estrangement. Rudy I'd now the manager and yes I would still trust them only because he's worked very hard to prove that's never their intent. And she's gone. I pity the families she works with now.

A group of friends banded together to send flowers to the simple gathering planned at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral home. I ordered the flowers through their website and paid with a debit card. The $300-plus price was immediately paid out. Now, almost a week after the services, we have discovered that our wreath was never delivered, never mentioned, never known about. A call to Kent-Forest Lawn resulted in a call back several hours later with this explanation: The flower order went to a "trusted florist" but his fax machine was not working. The order was also sent via email but the Trusted Florist did not check his email "that day." Or, apparently any other day since my money was only refunded after today's calls to the Kent-Forest Lawn office. I do not know the name of the florist or I would include it here. I am writing this review out of frustration and anger and disbelief. The level of carelessness, indifference, and sloppy business practices indicates a less than reliable operation. That moment of grief and loss and sadness when our dear friend was in the funeral home with her sister's ashes is gone. We will -- and have -- sent her messages of love and support but there was absolutely no sign of our concern for her in that Panama City mortuary. For Kent-Forest Home and their "trusted florist" it is business as usual. A representative woodenly told me he "understood" my upset and was "very sorry." The florist? Not heard from. An apology would not change things but it seems to me that a reputable business would be aghast at such a terrible failure and seek some way to apologize or make some gesture of contrition. Perhaps they feel by refunding my money they have made things right. Which only leaves me wondering -- WHEN was someone going to realize they had been paid $300 for NOTHING? I do not live in Panama City nor know anyone who does but I would urge anyone seeking funeral arrangements there to double- and triple-check everything with this haphazard, bungling organization. And their "trusted" associates.

I called the phone number and found it had been sold to McDonald Family Funeral. I spoke to Keaton McDonald and he told me he would see if he had any record of a prepayment and call me back. I didn't have much hope since it was arranged with a previous owner so long ago. He called me back and confirmed the prepayment. He coordinated with the local funeral home in Central Florida and was so helpful to us at a very sad time. This type of professionalism and customer service is rare these days and we are so grateful for his help.

When we had to change a few things, he was immediately available and helpful. He was the calm in our storm. It made all the difference in the world to have someone so calm and knowledgable with us. He thought of everything so that we did not have to in our acute grief. He offered exactly what we needed. I will forever be grateful.
