We're really happy and appreciative. I actually found Jeff through a Google search, and I honestly feel lucky that I did. A fifth got me a quote but it was from a non-admitted company. When I contacted Jeff he responded right away. Quotes were delivered within a few days. And all questions were answered and/or worked through with confidence and professionalism. And both quotes were reasonably priced and from admitted companies. Jeff knows his business and his markets and after dealing with other brokers, I would definitely recommend him. He is clearly one of the best in the area.

    I'll tell you what, I couldn't be more impressed and more grateful after getting off a phone call…read more A phone call that I was EXTREMELY LUCKY this gentleman in particular even picked up. As the Saturday wore on and all three of the companies I called to get Homeowners Insurance with a Renter Property Insur Policy Packet quotes from ALL went to VM. I did my due diligence and made a short list of 4 companies to call, checking each name prior to calling 1) Proximity to the property/us 2) Better Bus Bureau rating 3) Yelp rating. The 4th and last phone call actually was one that made the list on all three counts! AND the owner of the company answered the phone himself at 3:30 pm on a Saturday. Rob Salvo of Mt. Diablo Insur answers! Instead of blowing smoke up my wazoo and gladly telling me he would love to take my business, he gave me the honest down and dirty. Telling me what was going on in the industry currently, THAT I SHOULD STAY PUT and here's why. Information that was 5,000 percent invaluable. In less than 15 minutes he, convinced me NOT to move my policy to another company and why, wait 6 months to revisit when the industry has likely ironed out these problems, be thankful my current provider has renewed us, and how to solve the LLC issue that was forcing me to change in the first place, not only THAT, but to call him back if I had trouble getting my current provider to add the LLC endorsement and he'd help me with that too!! Color me flabbergasted! All out of the graciousness and kindness of his heart. There was nothing in this phone call for him. And I will remember this for the rest of my life and tell 100 people to call Mt. Diablo Insurance because you will get honesty, fairness, loyalty and exceptional business. Thank you Rob Salvo. You made a believer out of me. You had better believe Mt. Diablo will be my first phone call in 6 months down the road.

For my 2023 policies, my homeowners insurance carrier stopped offering policies in CA, and I was forced to switch over to another provider. I made the switch through Stone Creek but they never notified my mortgage lender of my new policy / carrier, so the lender thought I didn't have a policy and charged me for one of theirs. It took 6 months before I noticed and had to work with them to get a refund. My renewals for 2024 are actually coming up in less than 2 weeks and I have yet to receive any updates despite multiple attempted reach outs to my account manager (Robin). Ironically, I've been trying to get in contact with her for over a week (called and left a voicemail, left messages with two different receptionists) and it was only after I posted this review that I received an email from her. I shopped quotes with the same carriers directly, and am getting lower quoted rates, so at this point between the total radio silence and the higher cost of doing business with Stone Creek, I'm uncertain what SCIA's value add is. Ultimately, I ended up switching over to Jeff Wong out of Bencia and ended up saving $600 / year on my homeowners insurance alone with same carrier (Mercury). I swapped my Umbrella policy over as well, but kept my auto insurance as is as the carrier (Oregon Mutual) was still the best option.

But lately customer service is horrible. Sure, they respond quickly when you say you want to open a new policy for something. But have a question? Need other assistance? Just crickets. I think they had major turnover since the height of the pandemic and nobody seems to be local anymore. When I do talk with anyone, it's always a different person from out of state. Worse of all, when I sold a rental property and requested to cancel the policy, they cancelled the WRONG policy and I went almost 6 months with my home not being insured! I didn't realize it until much later of course because every single time I asked them to confirm my policies, they never responded. It's time to find a new broker. So sad because they used to be fantastic.

    If I could give a negative zero I would. Let me start by saying. I've been a member with AAA for…read moredecades. I physically went into this Branch Office for the first time. What a mistake. I waited nearly 12 minutes for an Agent to assist me. One came available. Before I sat down. He informed me, he didn't have much time to service my policy. He had to leave work on time with no exceptions. If he already knew his time constraints. Why offer to service me in the first place? He should've had another agent service my policy. I asked for his branch manager to discuss my disconnect. The lack of customer service, and plain laziness was very apparent. He had no desire to assist me. The branch manager proceeded to make excuses for his lack of communication, very rude and he simply didn't care. She proceeded to lie to me. She stated her 3rd largest member club branch is rated very highly. Total lack of knowledge on her part. In fact, I found her comment unreliable based on my experience with her Branch. The rating at this location is 2.6. Doesn't come as a big surprise to me. Today, 7/18/26, I received a returned call from another Agent Tash. Same rudeness, condescending. He kept talking over me. I became extremely annoyed, and requested a regional manager to contact me. I suggest you avoid doing business at this branch. Avoid all the headaches and hassles. The ratings are consistent, and spot on with other customer's experiencing the same issues. The Branch Manager is delusional to think she's handling her 3rd-largest branch in a professional, and productive manner. She, and her colleagues need additional training. How to treat loyal customers with respect, and provide excellent customer service to retain future costumers. Customer service doesn't exist in this branch whatsoever!
