Nice hotel, great location. You need to add towel racks in the rooms, a hook on the back of the bathroom door is not sufficient. A full-length mirror would be a nice addition. For the coffee service, train the housekeeping staff to replace used, regular coffee pods with regular coffee pods, not decaf pods. After a day all we had left was decaf and we had to go to the front desk to get more coffee. An upgrade on the quality of the coffee would be nice, too. The chairs at the desk are too low, or the desk is too high. Either way, it's not a comfortable workspace. The cushions in the chairs gave up the ghost years ago, time for an upgrade. for the price and location, this place is amazing! located pretty close to some of the big name wineries in paso as well as downtown. walking distance to starbucks, a pizza place, and a pretty good hot chicken place. the rooms are good size. we got the two queen beds which were comfy. came with two sinks outside of the shower/toilet. easy for multiple people getting ready. also came with complimentary wine and cheese. the wine was really good somewhere around a 30$ bottle but the cheese subpar. just cube cheese. also had a mini fridge. overall for what it included, it was more than enough. it also had a pool and hot tub as well as a basketball hoop in the parking lot. id stay here again for an affordable wine tasting inn. read more

The staff is amazing. Especially Teddy at the front desk. If you have any issues she will do her best to resolve them. The grounds are gorgeous, tranquil and relaxing. The rooms need updating. I had some issues with mine but was told by the hotel manager they are in the process of updating. My only issue with housekeeping was having to call and have the spa tub on our balcony cleaned. This should be done after every check out!!On to the pool which was was a little to cold and the hot tub had way too many chemicals . It burned my eyes. We also chose to eat at the steakhouse on the property. I recommend them for wine drinks and dinner. If you're having breakfast either dine in or go elsewhere. Do not take to go (This was an option because there is no room service). Overall the Inn is a good option. It's within walking distance of downtown and plenty of shopping and restaurants but not the wineries. I will definitely return after the renovations are completed. I was excited to stay here as they redid the entire hotel. Room was lovely. They put me in a room in the 900's where they were literally drilling into the wall next to my room at 9:00 am while on a zoom call. Next was the leaf blower ( starting at 8:15 am). Trucks, stacks of construction material, and men working everywhere. They need to complete the renovation before opening up the hotel. Steakhouse was actually very good, but 2 stars due to being in a construction zone. Not at all relaxing. Told the management upon leaving and they said they would look into it. Bummed. read more

We should have read the reviews before booking at the Paso Robles Inn. Upon arrival we found much of the property surrounded by construction fencing that took away from enjoyment of the key feature of the grounds. Apparently, the construction has been going on for months based on other reviews, despite signs indicating all new rooms and features in Summer 2024. There was no mention of the construction when we booked, and no offer of any compensation such as a small discount or local coupon. We arrived a couple hours before check in time after a long road trip and were told our room was not ready. Asked when it might be ready, the desk person replied, "I don't know" rather than something more service oriented like "I'll check" or "We'll see if we can get it ready as soon as possible". She advised she would text us when it was ready. After more than 90 minutes, at standard check in time, and no text my wife sent a text to them as they generally suggested for prompt service for any needs. Crickets. We went back to the desk to check and were greeted as though we had just arrived rather than having been waiting for our room and courtesy text. A few minutes later when entering our room, we received a text "Your room is ready." Our traveling companions received a similar text when already in their room, indicating something is goofed up with the hotel system. Our room was comfortable enough, but we found some quirky things that seemed to lack service details. Although there was available space, there were no fixtures for clothing or belongs - no closet, no dresser, no armoire or similar furniture. There was a six-inch wide row of clothes hangers that was integrated into an "entertainment center" that also held a mini fridge and coffee maker but no shelves or counter space. There was an iron sitting nearby but no board. It seems you would have both or none (available upon request). Back to the coffee maker, there were only two coffee mugs, no other glassware, reusable or otherwise. It is curious that nice accommodations in the middle of wine country would not have some generic wine glasses and a bottle opener (neither), let alone water glasses. My wife speculated the rooms were designed and equipped for the convenience of the hotel rather than the guests despite the Paso Robles Inn not being a discount motel. Upon leaving we found the online checkout was "not working". We will find a different place to stay for our next visit. read more

Cute! It's centrally located in downtown Paso, so we were able to walk to coffeeshops, dinner and bars, which was awesome. The room itself was very comfortable and each room gets its own private hot tub outside with mineral water from nearby springs. It's a very convenient option for staying in Paso. read more

The room was clean and service was good but my room had a LOT of flying bugs. I killed at least 2 dozen but there were just too many more. Notified front desk and they knew about the issue and had pest control service. Also the doors slamming of the units next to me woke me up around midnight. I wouldn't stay here again. While this isn't a 5 Star Resort, I give it a 5 star for its category. My husband and I both found the property to be immaculately clean. The bed and bedding is comfortable, and the bathroom is clean with plenty of towels. We loved the tub on the patio and used it every evening and in the morning. The rooms each have a theme of a different Paso winery. Ours was the Tobin James room. I actually never memorized our room number, I just looked for the Tobin James room. We can't wait to go back, and see more fun themed rooms! Side note: As for food, we've never cared for the food here so this review is only for the Inn. We had an amazing time in Paso Robles and the Inn was the icing on the cake! First we loved that the rooms are named after different wines! We were in the Troublemaker room! The room is very spacious! We loved our balcony with the giants tub! There are privacy curtains so you can soak and relax! Plus it is close to many restaurants and shops. We were laughing because we went to sensorio and they were serving troublemaker! We will be back! We booked a room here because of the location, that is the only star it deserves. We picked a nice room with hot tub and views so we can enjoy some quality time. Hot tub was BROKEN in our room and there was NO Wifi at all in the room. Checkin staff was not friendly at all. Since it was a one night stay we only had time to bring it out to them at check out the next day and they refuse to do anything about it since we did not let them know "at the time" Would not recommend this place to anyone! read more

This was our 4th stay at Paso Robles Inn in the last 10 years. What a great place and perfect location! Right across the street from the park and town square. Walking distance to anything you need, restaurants, coffee, shops, and groceries. PRI has a restaurant and bar which is very convenient! Swimming pool and hot are well maintained and nice in the summer! The grounds are meticulously maintained with ponds (with koi fish) and streams. Herb and vegetable gardens for the chef. Double porch swings scattered throughout the property. Awesome place! If your looking for a great getaway, you've got to stay at the PRI!!! read more

We went to Paso for a romantic getaway. The Paso Inn fits the bill! Nice rooms, friendly staff and a great Steakhouse and Bar right on site. The Inn is also located in the heart of downtown which is packed with wine tasting room and restaurants all skirting a beautiful park. No need to drive anywhere, unless you want to go to the 300 plus wineries in Paso! Even then I recommend taking Uber Wine so you can enjoy all the great wines in that area. We will be back to the Paso Inn as soon as possible! read more

We ended up staying here for a wedding. It was one of the preferred places for the couple. I was pleased to find out the price was extremely reasonable. The staff is super friendly. The rooms are clean, although a bit small. The grounds around the different room blocks are beautiful. They have a pool and a garden to sit in. They offer free wine tasting in the evening. It's located very close to the town Square so you can do all sorts of stuff and then pop back into your room. I would stay here again in the area. read more

Our room was spacious. The place is affordable and has its own restaurant (enjoyed brunch and mimosas here). I highly recommend. In Paso, there was so much to do! I wish I was able to take advantage of the hot tub outside but I was so tired from all the wine tasting, I crashed early. The customer service at this hotel deserves less than a 1 star. I was trying to deliver a cake to some guests that were staying at the Paso Inn for their anniversary. The Inn refused to accept the cake and made me go to their room to deliver. The guests were not there and the Inn would not take it and place it in their room or store it on their property. They have a restaurant attached to the hotel that could easily accommodate a small 6" cake until the guests arrive back. I will no longer offer delivery to the Paso Inn nor will I recommend that hotel. It's amazing to me that all other hotels are Paso are accommodating with their guests. Always enjoy staying at this place when in PR. The grounds are beautiful, staff is friendly, and you really can't beat the location. Stayed in different rooms at this place: From poolside to the main ballroom building. Both had their pros and cons, but the bottom line is is that you won't regret your stay here. The rooms are large, easily accessible to the lobby, and well-appointed. They come stocked with fridges, coffee makers, hair dryers, and a couple of bottles of free Fiji water (also spa water in the lobby) to keep you hydrated after a long day of wine tasting. Oh yeah, there's also a steakhouse and bar (Cattlemen's Lounge) on site. Dig it. This past visit, we were in the Ballroom building, which was a first for us. I loved the high ceilings, jacuzzi tub, and the fireplace. The downstairs ballroom was hosting a convention so,there was a good amount of foot traffic going in and out of the building. Not a big deal. If you want a more private experience, stay in one of the poolside rooms. They are fabulous. Book your stay, enjoy the local restaurants, and book a wine tasting tour. Cute on the outside but not on the inside. We arrived from our day of driving the gorgeous CA countryside. Our aunt recommended this place as she and our uncle had visited often. The parking lot is ridiculously confusing as is the map they give you to locate your room. We drove around the entire area only to learn our room was right across from the entrance. It would have made sense if they to.d us that at check in! When we at the room, it was nice and quiet. It overlooked a small water feature. The bathroom was very odd. The tub/shower was on a platform that made the step into it nearly 22" high. I'm 5'5 so getting in for a shower was not easy. A little rep up would have helped the situation. Luckily, it was a nice visit to CA and we enjoyed time with the family. read more

The Paso Robles Inn is a historic hotel associated with Jesse James. The inn was supposedly connected to another location and he would travel between the two underground so he would not be seen. The Inn is located at the town square which is surrounded by shops and restaurants. The rooms are nice and they have a good breakfast and dinner at their Steak house. For someone who does not want to drive after arriving at their destination, this is the place to go. We will definately be back. read more

My husband and I first stayed at the Paso Robles Inn in 2020. We booked a Spa room with a garden view and LOVED IT. It was also pet friendly which was a bonus since we had our pup traveling with us. We enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to book at the Inn again in 2022. When I called to confirm our reservation, I found out that the room I had booked was not pet friendly (Apparently not all of their rooms are) so I had to cancel and rebook at another hotel for that visit because they didn't have a pet friendly room available. Minus 1 star. Fast forward to our most recent trip to Paso this past week (4/28/24-4/30/24) and I made sure to book the Spa room with garden view that was pet friendly. We were so excited to utilize the spa tub on our patio while enjoying the garden. But When we got to our room, our garden view was blocked by an ugly tall green fence due to construction that was happening at the hotel. We couldn't really enjoy the patio with all the construction noise happening and no privacy with all the workers on the 2nd floor from the buildings being renovated looking down into our room - so not really the relaxing trip we envisioned. Minus another 1 star. Needless to say, we will be booking elsewhere next time and not at the Paso Robles Inn. 3 stars because the location is so great in downtown by all the restaurants, tasting rooms, & coffee shops PS - if you are traveling with a pup, be sure to confirm you booked a pet friendly room. If you show up with your pup and did NOT book a pet friendly room, you will be charged an additional $250 (which isn't not mentioned at ALL on their website but on a tiny sign in their front lobby) read more

It was an awesome experience. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I was there in a business trip, the place was so wonderful that it made me feel like I was on vacation. What I enjoyed the most was the garden and the swing lounge. Three days went bye extremely fast. This place would have a five star but the restaurants customer service was terrible (food was ok). My partners any I placed an order for breakfast and coffee. We did not mind the wait on the food but the coffee would not arrive. We asked the waitress if we could get some coffee and she would say yes but never returned. The other staff seemed to be avoiding to help us. We had to get up and serve our own coffee. The issue was not so much that the coffee we had to get ourselves but the fact that she kept serving coffee to other tables after she said she was going to bring us coffee, it was unacceptable. Didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Definitely a hidden gem. Stayed in the master suite with private hot springs jacuzzi on the balcony overlooking a beautiful serene garden. (Didn't smell strong of sulfur so not sure how much was hot springs water.) Clean rooms with a big bathroom. Even came with robes. They have keurig coffee and bottled water in the rooms. If you need more, we just went to front desk and get gave us some more. Food areas are all within walking distance and near a beautiful park. A must stay place if you wanna get away and just unwind. read more

Question to housekeeping - what is the $50.00 pet cleaning deposit for?? We did not travel with a pet but booked a pet friendly room because it was all that was available. The smell of wet, dirty dog greeted us as soon as we opened the door. No kidding, it was very strong. Every time we opened the door to the room throughout our stay, same thing. Airing the room out only helped temporarily. And just to clarify, we are pet lovers. This room smelled like a kennel. The topper was when I spilled some water on the floor and area rug and used a paper towel to wipe it up. That's when I saw just how filthy the floor and rug was. Just gross!! I couldn't believe how dirty the floor was. It was socks in the room at all times from that point on. FYI we saw housekeeping making the rounds when we checked out and the only thing they had on board to clean floors was a dry Swiffer. You telling me this hotel dry dusts floors between guests? I was expecting more at these prices. read more

The Paso Robles Inn is a really nice hotel with a great location; it's next to a veritable plethora of restaurnts and shops, and across the street from a lovely park. The property is obviously well maintained, and the grounds (especially the green space in the middle of the hotel) are nicely manicured. My room (a Garden View Queen) was larger than I expected, and it even turned out to have a hot top on the patio! The bathroom was also quite large, as well as nicely appointed. The room even had a microwave and a fridge, along with the usual coffeemaker. So why am I not rating this place five stars? Their "free" WiFi is horribly weak and very unreliable; the 80% of the time that it works it's slower than molasses. read more

Came here a couple weeks ago and was sadly disappointed. The lady working at the front desk acted like everyone was bothering her. The room itself was dark and looked out over a busy street. They don't have "private jacuzzis" in the suites as described on their website. Instead it is a small soaking pool that you have to fill up yourself. I thought the main pool might be the saving grace of the place, but of course, the pool was closed. I ended up asking for a refund and driving home instead of staying here the night. The park is right across the street which is great for kids or walking the dog. The hotel grounds are nice. There are 3 koi fish ponds and lots of greenery. I love that the hotel is pet friendly, for a pet fee of course. The rooms are nice but need a little updating. I slept good however the bed was a little hard for my taste. The walls are a little thin. You can hear a little noise but it wasn't bad and didn't disturb my sleep. The spa tub rooms are well worth the extra price! The tub is on the balcony but there is a curtain to close for privacy. I would stay again when in town! read more

First, the Good: The grounds are lovely and and the on-site restaurant is wonderful. The hotel is situated in a great location--with lots of restaurants and tasting rooms within walking distance. The rooms are clean, some with large terraces and fireplaces. The Bad: We always book a room with a terrace and this was our expectation. Instead, we were given a room with no terrace--but a gangplank walkway where people rolled their luggage on and Hotel staff noisily shouted at each other--at 7am. The Ridiculous: No Housekeeping provided by the Hotel until the 3rd night, but you can request fresh towels, water, toiletries. So we did request them. They were dropped off by Housekeeping. That would have been fine. But our used towels were left on the bathroom floor and not taken away. And our bed was left unmade. I don't fault Housekeeping for this error in judgment--I fault hotel management choosing to limit Housekeeping. We've always stayed at the Paso Robles Inn when we go wine tasting for its location, grounds and general ambience--but our bad experience this time will force us to look at alternative hotels. The Paso Robles Inn allows you to step back in time. The rooms are nicely decorated and some have jacuzzis set up in their patio. The steakhouse is very comfortable and serves excellent food. I had the prime rib and it was top notch and the pricing was not to bad. A great place to stay while visiting the wineries in the area. We have stayed here a couple of times now and love the location. The outdoor spa tub was fun to relax in after all the walking around we did which as many have said is one of the best things about the hotel. We love being able to walk to dinner and shopping. The rooms we have had are very nice but this trip, the bed was not comfortable. They need to replace the mattress as it felt like we could roll off one side and it was a king. It was also a squeaky frame. They've closed off the sulphuric water because of too many complaints about the smell. Wasn't sure whether I was glad or not. Good for the skin, but yes, very smelly. Still can smell some lingering in our room this trip but you get use to it. The grounds are lovely and we enjoy breakfast at their restaurant. read more
