It has a fairly wide selection of materials, wool, netting, cotton, needles, fabric etc and the staff are friendly and personable. I havent always had the best customer service in there (the staff wont necessarily stop what theyre doing to serve you, for example) but the prices are affordable for an independent shop and thats what matters in this time of the credit crunch!

I like next, some of their clothing is really good quality, plenty of items in stock this summer just gone, and no matter which store you go to in any city, it's always consistent really, offering the same throughout. This store is nice and large and offers all womens and mens range as well as little ones. Only thing i dont like, is the annoying catalogue person on the door asking you to join up and pay for a catalogue each time i go it, bin it next, and move on to the NEXT one!

I like the way it is laid out with the children's department on the ground floor with the womans wear. The home department could do with being a bit bigger as it seems very small for the size of the store. It is very clean and is spacious. The staff always seem to be working very hard to keep the cutomers happy and they are always very friendly and helpful.

The branch is in the corner of the boulevard next to the dentist and medical centre. Whilst the branch is always well stocked there isn't often a good choice of items and some of the prices are quite high. I find that the store is difficult to navigate due to the clothes rails being too close together, it feels almost claustrophobic in there and is definitely no chance of navigation with a pushchair. Whilst I continue to go in and browse occasionally when I am in the UK I very rarely find anything which I wish to buy.

That said you can pick up a good bargain here if you are willing to look hard. I find Next clothes very good for work and as such it doesn't matter as much if it isn't up to date fashions as blouses and suits change very little between seasons. The store is spacious and offers plenty of room for browsing. When there is not a sale on the prices are still good but the store is a lot more tidy. As in all Next stores when a sale is on you have to rummage hard to find what you want. Unfortunately there are no changing rooms in this store which means that you might have to gamble on something fitting you. However the staff are willing to exchange goods if you find an item does not fit when you get home.

Many old customers, disappointed with Past Times, are now heading to this comparable store, that is situated in a covered shopping precinct. Irene and Julie have always shown their excellent ability to run a shop like this. Always polite, friendly and knowledgeable when at Past Times..a pleasure to be in the shop.
