12/12/25 Friday: After a little shopping, came with my sister in law to try out their pasta. This will be our first time visiting. Honestly, it was super delicious and the staffs were very friendly. The lady at the register explained how to order and what's on their menu. I ordered their grilled chicken creamy scampi fettuccine and my SIL got the grilled chicken alfredo fettuccine. Both pastas were filled with sauces. Love that! It may look like a hole-in-the-wall, but don't underestimate this Italian spot off 96! We usually order pickup and go; they do have a few dine-in seats, but the atmosphere isn't really the draw here. Our go-to is their Ivan Ala Vodka pasta with penne noodles and blackened chicken. The fettuccine alfredo and Cajun pastas are also excellent as all the sauces are fire. Portions are generous, prices are super reasonable, and the staff is always friendly. Truly the best bang-for-your-buck spot in the area when you need to satisfy those pasta cravings. They're locally family-owned, so we love supporting them, been around since 2014 and quite a story/legacy. FYI - on our most recently visit - we called in, stated 20 mins but it took 30 before the food was ready to go, so this may help timing your pick ups. read more

The staff was so friendly, meal is made fresh and overall very good. Alfredo just lacked some flavor and noodles were just a tad over done but glad I got the blackened checked to flavor the sauce a bit. It needs more parm in it. I have visited this restaurant twice in the last two weeks. I went while my wife was out of town, then we went together this week. Both times I had the Cajun blackened chicken with Penne pasta (no onions per my request ) and it was very good. Great job on the chicken! Well cooked but still very moist. I wish I knew the secret on that. My wife had chicken Alfredo with broccoli and she liked it also. Atmosphere is basic. I was really impressed with this little mom and pop Italian run restaurant. I was having to eat low protein high carb, so pasta sounded great. I did the Alfredo with fettuccine noodles and added mushrooms, onion, and spinach. We also ordered the cheesy garlic bread as a side. Who doesn't love cheese and garlic? The pasta was the perfect texture and the Alfredo tasted delicious. There are lots of options to choose from from noodles to sauces to toppings as well as premade bowls. The garlic cheese bread was amazing. Gooey and cheesy and packed full of garlic. There is a small spot for indoor eating and lots of orders seem to go. This pasta was so good!! It took a while to get, most likely because it's fresh/made to order, but it was so worth it! The Cajun chicken pasta was so flavorful and the pasta (I chose angel hair) was perfectly cooked- nice and soft. The chicken was also fantastic, especially in the sauce. The place is like a fast casual restaurant, you order at the register but there's tables/chairs if you wanted to sit down and eat. The only thing I wish was different was the portion size. Great concept makes getting a variety of very good pastas and sauces without spending a lot of waiting. The pasta is cooked fresh when you arrive, and it's down to a science. All our pasta was cooked perfectly. Carbonara with grilled chicken over fettuccine was very good. I could have put a pinch of salt in it, but that's just me and I never did. Lefour over penne was so good. A sauce with smoked Gouda that was very well balanced and not overpowering. Cheese bread was good but not memorable. We had a pleasant casual dinner here, but felt that the food was just OK overall. I was a bit surprised considering all the rave reviews they have. My wife can't eat gluten, so we were very happy to see that all their sauces are gluten-free, and they have a gluten-free penne pasta as well. I had the Cajun Penne with Blackened Chicken. The flavor was good overall, but not as good as I was expecting based on the many five-star reviews. The pasta was a bit overcooked. I also had a Caesar Salad, which was fine but not great. My wife had the Shrimp Scampi with gluten-free penne, and it wasn't very good. Not much flavor and not many shrimp. Their menu is pretty much just pasta and a few sauces, so I feel like they need to really excel at sauce (since pasta is pretty straightforward). Very good family run Italian pasta restaurant. Ate there based on the reviews and thought it was great for the price point. Pick your pasta, pick your sauce, and there are good varieties of both. We had penne pasta with Cajun sauce and blackened chicken, fettuccini pasta with carbonara sauce and blackened chicken, fettuccini pasta with bacon cheddar sauce and grilled chicken. We also got a salad and garlic bread. All were prepared to order and served hot within 10-15 minutes. We all shared and felt Cajun was the best, followed by Carbonara, and then bacon cheddar. Carbonara could use a little more bacon flavor but still was pretty good. All three had adequate amounts of chicken. This was my first visit to Pasta and Cream, and it met and exceeded all expectations! When you first walk in, it is just an old little diner. We called and ordered our food for pick up. It was almost ready when we walked in. We were greeted quickly. Our food was packaged nicely. We got home and were really excited to try everything. The Caesar side salad was big enough for two! Not a lot of croutons, but loved the dressing! And it was really fresh! We also got the garlic bread which was still warm and buttery when we got home. We ended up here by accident, but glad we did! We had planned to stop at Big Shakes, but they're temporarily closed. So we looked up what was close, and this place came up with great reviews. And they were right! We ordered cheesy bread, the Cajun pasta with grilled chicken, and the carbonara with blackened chicken. The cheesy bread was good, nothing crazy but plenty of cheese! The Cajun was spicy and creamy, and had a nice crunch of bell peppers. We'd probably get the blackened chicken for this next time, since it has similar spices. The carbonara was definitely not authentic by any means, but it was GOOD. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was thick and creamy. Service was quick and the girl working was very friendly! There's enough seating where it's not an issue if you eat inside. My wife & I came across this unassuming little restaurant when we were traveling through town. And man, I am glad we found it! Seriously excellent food! She had the Shrimp Scampi and I ordered the Steak Angelo. I recommend both of those dishes since both were terrific. The portion is generous enough that we both only ate half and saved the rest for the next day. The only negative thing I can say is that they are not local to where we live! With a 4.7 on Google, a 4.5 on Yelp, and a 4.5 on TripAdvisor, I knew I had to try this restaurant on Franklin's Highway 96, hiding in a nondescript strip mall but easily discoverable thanks to online reviewers. It's a bit unfair that my bar for a 5-star pasta review is based on the best pasta I've eaten in Italy and the Italian cuisine I've eaten while being raised by two chefs. My 4-star standard would be the impeccable pastas served at the best New York eateries, the Italian food I cook at home, and maybe even Pastaria in Nashville. There is no shame in a 3-Star review, and I feel the need to keep it real when I have millions of monthly readers on Quora, Yelp, and TripAdvisor combined (well, most of those are on Quora). I won't ever lead you astray and toss around flippant five-star ratings, as honesty is the best policy. I ordered the Rockefeller sauce with fettuccini noodles topped with blackened chicken. It's advertised as a rich, smoky cream sauce with smoked bacon, spinach, and red onions. I found this dish satisfying. There is honestly nothing wrong with scoring three stars on my personal rating system, not when I've literally eaten my way across 79 countries and all 50 states. Three stars means you've done well. Four stars means you're quite stellar. Five stars means I want to go back every day for the rest of my life. Pasta and Cream did not blow my mind like that, but it was tasty nonetheless. So, what did they do wrong? Nothing really. The sauces are made fresh, the chicken is grilled in front of you, the ingredients are satisfactory. Now, to really dissect the food, the sauce nor the bacon was smoky, although delicious. The spices on the chicken could have been much hotter. The red onions could have been sautéed longer until soft and succulent and not so raw. The sauce could have used Parmigiano-Reggiano or a splash of white wine (or white wine vinegar) or a touch of lemon or just about anything to give it some zing. It was relatively bland and not the richness I was anticipating. But at the same time, it was certainly not lackluster. The garlic bread could have been more garlicky and less salty. The noodles could have been thicker, but they were fine. There are lots of little things other restaurants do that produces a better outcome. But Pasta and Cream fully accomplishes their goal of making good food at a reasonable price. It is what it is. If you haven't eaten all over Italy and New York, you'll probably love this place. But if you've eaten the real deal, although Pasta and Cream doesn't compare to that, you can still get a decent meal at a competitive price here. Just know what you're getting into. read more

Found this place randomly on our drive back to Alabama from the airport and I wanted pasta so bad but not of us wanted to sit down and wait at a busy restaurant so this spot seemed perfect. It's seriously so unassuming like you would never really notice it and if you saw it you might not expect it to be that good but it was so good! Totally get why they have such good reviews. The pasta took a minute but to us that was a good sign! Not just throwing in premade pasta. I had the Toni's to basil and my husband had the Cajun and we switched back and fourth it was so good. Only reason for not five stars is, I asked for the creamy tomato and basil and didn't get that. I also asked if they had a meat sauce versus just meat balls and they said yes but I got meat balls not a meat sauce. And the prices were definitely higher than their menu photos online. read more
