Pastaria Chicken Parm
Ryan W.

Pastaria in Nashville is a staple as far as restaurants go. Everything in the restaurant is made from scratch and excellent. I began my night by ordering Risotto Balls, an appetizer so good that it rivals the risotto balls I had in Rome earlier this year. For my entree, I ordered the Chicken Parm which is one of the best Chicken Parms I have ever had. I wish there were more pasta options that came with the Chicken Parm as the spaghetti it comes with is just okay. Overall, one of the best restaurants in Nashville.

Verdict: always solid, from the food to the service to the atmosphere. We've been to Pastaria multiple times and my little sister is always down to come here when she visits Nashville. We've legitimately never had a bad experience and they're always nice to our little one. This time we started with a shared chopped salad, which is delicious. Chickpeas, olives, lettuce, with a vinaigrette that blends it all together. My sister got the Bucatini Rigate, which she loved. My wife and I split the Pistachio Ravioli and Pappardelle Beef Ragu. My wife thought the ravioli was a little too buttery, but I enjoyed both. The kids menu is also a great deal: multiple options for pasta, a gelato, and drink for $10.

This was my fourth visit to Pastaria. The service is always friendly and prompt here. The menu is an array of fresh house made pastas and wood fired artisan pizza. The dining area is open to the kitchen which provides an experience similar to dining in one's Italian mother's kitchen. it is a comfortable and inviting ing atmosphere. The burrata was fabulous as an appetizer accompanied by the marinated olives. The Fish and White Bean entree was quite delightful as well. Well done folks!!

Had an incredible dinner at Pasteria! We ordered the crispy risotto balls (there were 6 of them, which was great for 2 people) and the burrata as an appetizer. The bread that was served with the burrata was INCREDIBLE. It was grilled and had light salt that was swoon worthy!! True chef's kiss for that bread. We also got the cacio e Pepe which was good, and the pistachio ravioli which was divine. I'll be thinking about that ravioli for weeks to come. Highly recommend this spot. Only wish I had had more room in my stomach to try more dishes!!

Absolutely LOVED my dining experience here! The staff were SO friendly and patient with all of our questions (since the group had a few allergies/restrictions). The food we ordered was delicious -- every bite seemed to melt in my mouth! The ambiance was pretty typical for an Italian restaurant, but still very enjoyable as well. Would definitely recommend!

My boyfriend took me on a nice date here and it was lovely! I'm a sucker for good pasta and this definitely hit the spot. We were greeted with a friendly host and our waitress was more than attentive! Everyone was so friendly and smiles all around. It definitely was busy when we went so maybe try making a reservation. Lots of seating and great decor.

This place was next to the hotel I was staying at. I placed my order thru the phone and they were quick with making a pepperoni pizza. Pepperoni pizza, high quality ingredients and I would say a pretty good crust. Not super doughy. Birthday cake icecream, amazing! It tastes like a confetti cake, it's spot on. Lasagna, cheesy goodness with enough sauce, it was bomb Lamb pasta idk the name but it was also delicious White chocolate pistachio, equally as yummy. I'm coming back for the icecream and pizza The service I did receive was great, they're really quick, i didn't know they had icecream in the shop and the worker that served me was nice. It's a laid back place, nothing fancy, be prepared to eat

Great experience! We came on a Sunday night to meet up with some friends & had a pleasant experience overall. Parking available in the garage & nearby lots, and they do validate for up to 2 hours I believe. Service was good, no issues there. And the ambiance was comfy. Not too loud & a good atmosphere to hang out for a bit. I'll admit I was a little iffy seeing as the prices were definitely on the higher end for pasta. But considering the pasta is all homemade, fresh, and the portion sizes are larger than they seem in photos, I was very satisfied. My wife & I ordered 2 pasta dishes, the tiramisu, & a cup of coffee & the total after tax & tip came to about $91. Still pricier for sure for casual dining, but you won't leave hungry & the food was delicious. Overall a very safe recommendation, especially if you have friends/family visiting from out of town that may be pickier eaters!

Pizza of the month

Honestly not as great as we expected. The risotto balls were the best I ever had and the aioli sauce can be a staple for my life. However the noodles were hard as a rock and not cooked and the pizza of the month was honestly disgusting and nothing but salt. Very disappointed in service as well.

Made a reservation here for my birthday and it was such a fun little spot. Normally pasta or Italian food makes me feel heavy and weighed down, but other than feeling FULL, this didn't give me any of the discomfort other restaurants have. I wish I remembered our server's name, but he was SO nice. When he ID'd us for drinks he realized it was my birthday and at the end of the night brought me out a free scoop of his favorite gelato for me to try with a candle on it. This was after I had already ordered a slice of their birthday cake dessert, so I really got to have my cake (and ice cream) and eat it too. The portions were great for dinner, but I would imagine this may be a bit too much for a lunch portion. All in all, we did two rounds of drinks through happy hour and then ordered entrees, and we felt very pleased with the experience, food, service, and pricing. We'll definitely be back again.

The Pastaria is always a must stop when we are in Nashville. The food is always fresh quick and delicious and if you're business trailer like I am and looking for somewhere good to eat with lots of variety I would pick pastaria. They are close to a local hotel and you can get it to go or sit and eat in the restaurant. Next time you want fresh delicious pasta, bread or salad that's quick and delicious stop here.

Gluten free options?

Yes they do have gluten free options on the menu. You will enjoy this place. The food is delicious and the service was great.

Is it loud in the restaurant? I saw in the photos concrete floors and wondering

Average. Definitely not quiet but not overly loud either

Does anyone know if you can bring your own wine for a corkage fee? If so, how much is the corkage fee?

Don't know about Pastaria but Mama Mia's does ($5) & the pasta is way better :)

The interior is stunning, the service was on point. Professional and personable at the same time. We had the pleasure of sitting outside on a beautiful evening. It was perfect. We started with the tuna tartare and marinated octopus. I'm iffy when it comes to octopus. If it isn't done right, it's horrific. This was so tender, sliced thin, and was a perfect bite with the chilled potatoes. The tuna tartare was equally as good, but the octopus stole show. The tuna has a burnt orange vinaigrette around the outside of the plate. It's more than just a garnish. Make sure you get a bite with the tuna. For dinner we had the bolognese, duck ragu, and braised short rib. All three dishes melted in your mouth. The duck was my favorite, I added a little whipped ricotta to each bite and it was just 10/10. For dessert I asked if they could make a pistachio martini, and gave them the ingredients. Their bartender hadn't heard of one, free poured it, and absolutely nailed it. The cannoli filling was too sweet and too thick for me. It tasted like thick buttercream icing. Personal preference, but I prefer a lighter filling. All in all, I would say don't walk to Luogo...RUN. Reservations are highly recommended.

I had an espresso & my wife opted for a cappuccino (even though it was after 11am... shh, don't tell anyone). The server was attentive & helpful and we enjoyed the food. We were actually between the normal lunch & dinner shift, so the restaurant was not too busy. We opted to sit outside which was a little noisy from the road traffic at that hour, I did take a look inside and at the kitchen area. The restaurant is in a complex of several establishments. The dining room decor is modern with seating on two levels. When we arrived, we had to wait a few minutes to be seated as the restaurant was fairly busy on a Monday night, I assume due to the happy hour special that runs all night. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer to start and some drinks. The appetizer came out promptly and was nicely done, with plentiful helpings of burrata and cherry tomatoes layered with balsamic pearls. The pearls have the appearance of caviar so it was a pretty and flavorful twist. Unfortunately, that was the end of the positives. Our dinner entrees included the chicken parmesan and grilled salmon. Both were overcooked and the salmon in particular (I asked for it to be rare in the center) was so throughly cooked it had a very grainy texture. The sauce was bland and the pasta overly soft. Service was pretty one-note as well, not rude but not particularly attentive either. Dinner ran $120 with tip including two cocktails and one beer. Really disappointing.

I took my buddy out for a celebratory promotion dinner to Ophelia's. We're from Huston and staying at the hotel across from this restaurant, we heard great things so on our last night we decided to celebrate his good news here. Within thirty seconds of us sitting down our waitress came out to greet us and pour waters for us. She was incredibly kind and bubbly, beautiful young girl. The service was next level. Our server, Lu lu, gave us great recommendations on cocktails and appetizers. She got to know what we enjoyed and recommended the whipped ricotta to us, which was delicious. Creamy ricotta with honey, oil, spice, and bread. Game Changing bread, perfectly baked. When it was time for our dinner, we decided to get the calzone, lasagna, and a pizza. The food came out within twenty minutes and it was just incredible. We decided for tiramisu as our dessert, but we should've gotten the cream puff, the table next to us got one and it looked great. When our waitress brought out our check she very respectfully asked where my buddy was from, as he has a pretty thick accent. He told her that he's Russian and her face lit up, she immediately started having a full conversation with him in Russian. Apparently, she knows the language conversationally. I mean, what a coincidence. My buddy was so tickled by it, and I think he really appreciated it. We also saw the chef come out and talk to one of the other tables, seriously, people were asking to speak to the chef to give their compliments. All in all, this was a wonderful restaurant that runs smoothly and is very professional. Yet it still remains to make you feel as if you're important and taken care of. Come here if you are able.

Complimented extremely well with any pairing crafted in the restaurant. The focaccia with garlic and balsamic was the perfect first bite to guide your experience as a shareable item. -Ricotta di Gnocchi: 5/5 Again, texturally pleasing bite that's met with a delicious sauce that's velvety, cheesy, and rich in flavor with the herbs meeting the palate cutting away the richness.
