Carrefour Market, on the corner of Piazza Diocleziano, Milano, is in a good spot, right next to the…read moretram stop. A fairly nice store, I was able to pop in for essentials that I needed. The 24/7 opening is especially helpful, especially for night-owls like myself, this is too rare in Milan!
The product selection was like a typical convenience-style supermarket (Tesco Express / Sainsbury's Local) back home, with a good selection of essentials, and a small selection of fruit and vegetables.
The layout of the store was universally easy to understand and follow.
Most of the prices were reasonable, the checkout experience was pleasant and fast enough, the staff member apologised for not speaking English well, and I thanked him as he did an excellent job (plus he spoke English pretty well, which is an unreasonable expectation anyway at a grocery store in Italy)
