contacted Pro Works to do an interior painting job with some exterior touch ups. The quote process…read morewas good, Rhys was personable and quick. They accommodated a reschedule due to some personal issues which I appreciated. The painting however was a much different experience and left a lot to be desired. The painters that were sent in did a poor job of the patching and prep work, it was fairly extensive and not well executed. They were very sloppy in doing the painting, my kitchen cabinets, wooden railings, countertops, floor and small appliances were coated in paint. There are still quite a few stains left on the cabinets where the finish was removed by the cleaner used. They came back to do the touch ups, I work full time during the days and have small children I needed to keep away while painting was happening. I took photos of all of the issues and gave a quick run down of all of the issues, beyond the paint splattered on things there were drips, tons of unfilled holes, entire sections of baseboards missed, little to no caulking done (the first day they showed up without a caulking gun and had to borrow ours). The guys showed up to "fix" all of the issues, spent about an hour doing so, left saying they needed to work on other projects that were weather dependent and would be back to fix the rest later. They left their paint tray, brushes and rollers in my garage. I assumed they would be back the next day so I left my house torn apart. They didn't come, didn't come, the paint in the tray and brushes and rollers dried up. Finally Stuart reached out to ask when I was going to pay the bill. I explained that the house was still a mess and no one had come by to finish. He then tried to gaslight me and put things back on me, he refused on numerous occasions to have the owner reach out to discuss the sloppy job. Eventually he had the guys come back, he told my husband and I it wouldn't be more than an hour or so. They were there for 6 hours completing the touch ups and the mess. I've attached a handful of photos below, but that is just a small snippet of the mess. 2 stars because the original customer service was good and they did eventually come back and fix what they could. Stuart could use some real work on the customer service side as well as job and employee management and they should not be letting painters loose in people's homes who can't properly drop cloth things. I am quite frustrated that there are permanent stains on wood work in my home and that paint was splattered so far and wide it made it inside my coffee maker which had to be replaced. Overall, I would not recommend, I went with them because Rhys was professional and seemed competent and their quote was less by about 10%. I have had a house painted by Excel previously and the experience was VASTLY different.
