I'd avoid this pediatrics office and save yourself the attitude/lack of phone etiquette and welcome ness that you receive from both the front desk and the pediatrician. My family and I just moved here and my daughter has had a fever and was very lethargic, called in and they told me to come in right away and upon checking in no one says a word to you and when you say hello they just look at you. Waited for about 20 minutes and they call me and the pediatrician took one look at my insurance card and said they wouldn't take it "because it's only acceptable in California" and told ME to call my insurance to see if I can get a authorization for them to use, then proceeded to say that no office around will accept the insurance. My insurance was California AND national use, which they did not try to take the time to find out and declined to see my sick daughter. So we left and was able to see a better pediatrician in Harlingen and they ACCEPTED our insurance. Dr.patel is an amazing dr she is great with my nephews and they get the best care every time they go there. They take care of most of my siblings which are under the age of 21. The medical assistants are very nice and patient with the kids they help them relax before a vaccine and make them happy afterwards overall I have no complaints and recommend this dr highly! They open weekends and even Sunday's she is amazing can always call and she will respond to ur call. read more
