I'm a military veteran who works in hospital operations, so I don't leave reviews lightly. I'm also…read morea parent of a minor child who urgently needs psychiatry and therapy. From the start, this facility's handling of our care has been marked by avoidable disruptions, poor communication, and a lack of accountability--not just "normal" system challenges. Our child's psychiatric appointment was scheduled four weeks in advance. We were not informed when several psychiatric providers resigned, and the appointment had to be rescheduled. I drove to the appointment only to be turned away and told to reschedule. When we returned, our child was referred for therapy, we scheduled her first appointment that day, and had to wait a lengthy period of time for that appointment to come around. Today, I received a call from Amanda (New Port Richey) that the therapist decided to retire early, meaning my child's long-awaited appointment had to be rescheduled. When I challenged the repeated failures and asked for accountability, I was met with dismissal and excuses. Instead of solutions, I was spitefully told there is "no availability" in New Port Richey and that we could "just drive" to Brooksville, even though they had called me to "reschedule" in New Port Richey. We don't live in or near Brooksville. Thank you, Amanda (New Port Richey) and Learning to Achieve Wellness, for showing me quickly that your facility cannot facilitate our child achieving wellness, that the way you treat your patients and families is a disgrace, and that my child and our family deserve much more than what your facility and staff can offer. This has been the worst patient experience I've encountered in a healthcare setting, especially when it comes to fighting for a child who struggles with self-harm. Scheduled care was treated as optional, communication was consistently missing, and we were forced to absorb every failure of yours with ZERO compassion or effort to rectify its wrongs. We are pulling our child from this facility and seeking services elsewhere. I'm sharing this so other families don't go through the same stress, delays, and broken promises we have had from the very first day we started with you.

She was kind, informative and and the way she repeated her teaching was very kind and interesting. I still think of it when I need it almost 2 weeks later. Call, pick their brains. They are comfortable answering your questions. Give them a try!! You'll be glad you did!!

It's been a few months and I'm still shooken up from him. As a fellow mental health professional, it was shocking and an embarrassment to the field. I would not recommend to my worst enemy.

He "sent" my script to my preferred pharmacy which the pharmacy never received. I called to explain this and was told I HAD to meet with him again to get the same script already requested reissued. Again, told it was sent, by their receptionist Amy and that she confirmed this with the pharmacy. When I went to the pharmacy two days later, they said the script wasn't re-sent. I called Amy back, not as forgiving this time around, considering the time consuming effort to get my existing script simply refilled. She began arguing with me and saying it was my fault and I immediately shut that down - reminding her to be professional and resolve the issue at hand that she told me she already resolved two days prior. I followed up in text message again reiterating my disappointment with her lack of professionalism and reminded her that all I need is the script. She never responded. Two weeks go by and not a word from this doctors office. I called and texted the office number demanding a status update on my script. I received a missed call a few minutes later, no voicemail. I followed up within 10 min after and was met with a receptionist who had me on speaker so all I could hear was background noise independent of her muffled voice and she couldn't successfully look me up in their system. She put me on hold and then "Doctor" Andrew Hewitt came on the line with an aggressive , commandeering attitude saying that I didn't pay my visit bill so he's not resending my script. I guess he's the billing department also? Never have I ever spoken to a "doctor" that also works as receptionist and billing department and tells me that he won't uphold his end of service and treatment because of an outstanding bill. I didn't pay the invoice yet because there's an issue with the billed amount being 4x the cost of any one doctor I've seen and upon further review I noticed that he charged me for seeing him several times which is inaccurate, I saw him once. Regardless, me paying a recently acquired bill or not is not a valid reason to withhold my medication. He not only met me with an overwhelming false sense of arrogance, aggression, and misogynistic behavior - constantly talking over me and down to me with condescension but he became irate when I met his behavior head on and told him to let me finish speaking without interruption. After I explained what was going on and the terrible experience I've had to this point, he interjected and said "are you done now, because you're starting to repeat yourself". I then lost my temper and rightfully told him off and that I will not be paying this erroneous bill for service I never received. I am truly not convinced this man is actually a doctor at all and even if he happens to be, his business etiquette, along with his staff's demeanor and unprofessionalism is absolutely astounding. Virtual doctors are supposed to be for a means of convenience and this was the furthest thing from it. Andrew Hewitt is a shady individual operating a questionable practice and suffering from a clear power trip - he's clearly not respected in the health field. To any women out there, keep looking for a different doctor - this man will not treat you with respect, understanding or any ounce of consideration. I have never had a health-visit experience even close to this level and I am just absolutely stunned at how this unfolded here. Would give it 0 stars if I could. Will also be submitting a claim with the better business bureau for inaccurate billing practices to overcharge people and then withhold their prescriptions.

I drove up from Tampa with a suitcase that had all of her possessions to give to the point of contact "Stephanie". I dropped the suitcase off at the facility and informed Stephanie that my daughter's Arizona State identification card was enclosed in an envelope within the suitcase. She kept saying that " I will not confirm or deny that your daughter is here". I thought to myself, " what a bitch " . Upon her release she was transferred to The Rope Center in Hudson. Pastor Susan at The Rope Center confirmed that she NEVER received my daughter's ID. On 3-27-2017, she called over to BayCare and was told by Stephanie that she put the ID in a pocket within the suitcase, the first lie. My ex-wife had thoroughly checked and NO ID WAS IN THE SUITCASE. My wife then called a caseworker named Elaine at Baycare and informed her that we never received the ID and that she would need it to fly back to Philadelphia the very next day. Elaine went over to the Integrated Stabilization Unit and checked. No ID. I called the unit and spoke to the Nurse on Duty named Kim after asking Elaine how we could get this resolved. I called Nurse Kim and she got defensive when I asked her about the protocol for securing a patients valuables and ID. She said that they have a "safe" and that she would look in it and call me back and hung up. I thought to myself, " How can you call me back without having my number?" I immediately called back and gave "Trevor" my cell number and instructed him to give it to Nurse Kim. Two hours went by so I called back and asked for Nurse Kim. She got on the phone and I said that I was calling back because it doesn't take two hours to look in a safe. She then told me that it was not in there. She went on to say that Stephanie was now saying that she NEVER saw the ID. The second lie from Stephanie. I asked for a supervisor/manager. I ended up talking to Ashley. I told her that we needed to have my daughter's ID because she is scheduled to fly to Philadelphia the next day. She told me that she could look in the safe, I informed her that Nurse Kim had already looked and that it was not in there. I asked her what recourse do we have . She said that I can fill out a grievance form. I went over to the center and obtained a "customer feedback worksheet". They wanted me to fill it out and give it to them. I thought to myself, " Why, so you can throw it away immediately afterward?" I will fill out the form and submit it up the chain, NOT AT THAT FACILITY. We ended up going to the DMV in New Port Richey to get my daughter a Florida ID. Ridiculous experience with these "medical professionals". Nurse Stephanie obviously has no "character" and is a liar. I question her competence as well. If you have no choice and you find out that "Stephanie" is your nurse, definitely ASK FOR ANOTHER NURSE! I would say that this place should be AVOIDED. TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE ELSEWHERE AND AVOID THESE CLOWNS AT ALL COSTS IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!!!
