We wanted a place where we could develop friendships and where our kids could participate and grow. We found several military & civil service families there, and now 19 years later we are watching our kids go off into the military, graduate college, and go to college, etc. For me, church hopping was not in the cards for my family. I wanted my kids to grow up with in one church and have a place to come to where everyone would know their name. My kids received love packages while in college. We have a church family that shows up when we celebrate graduations or other events. We have a church family that joins together to help us if we are sick or if a loved one dies. When I was promoted to into the Senior Executive Service (SES), my church family showed up in large numbers to celebrate with me for the pinning service. I'm so grateful for how my church family surrounded us with love and helped us prepare an honorable funeral service for my 95 year old father in law, a WWII veteran. They also cooked, served food, and they cleaned up after the repast. They wouldn't let us lift a finger to help, they proudly and graciously said that it was our time to rest, mourn and be served. There's always something to do in the church, and getting involved helped us meet other people early on. We didn't stand on the sidelines and leave it to chance. I can't tell you how many things we've done as a family but it includes ushering, greeting, drama ministry, dance ministry, choir, deacon ministry, mission trips to Africa, organizing fundraisers, Community Development Corp, media production ministry, vision board and strategic planning, vacation bible school, back to school giveaways, holiday meals, meals for the homeless, marriage ministry, retreats, etc. We are having service online now due to COVID-19. https://thelifedc.org/ If you want and need a family to LOVE on YOU, visit us online and get involved. I had to obtain a copy of my baptism certificate as a requirement for my upcoming Greek Orthodox wedding. This is the church I went to as a child, and my baptism happened in the 90's, so I didn't even know whether they would have what I was looking for. When I called the office and was put in contact church receptionist, she went far above and beyond any expectations I had, as she not only went back into the older church records before things were uploaded to the current system, but actually went through the work of tracking down the physical copy of the document I needed and calling me back once she found it. All throughout my communication with her, she was very personable and easy to talk to. I also want to note that I first contacted the office during a very busy time of year, so there a bit of understandable delay in getting me the copy, and other people in the church office also helped in getting the copy sent to me via both email and mail. I believe the pastor was even in contact with me at one point of the email communication process. In short, this church's office staff went far above and beyond, and I am truly impressed. Tracking down this document was the only part of wedding planning I really was stressed about, so this was truly a blessing and great help to me.

With a very robust children's ministry, an active teen ministry, military ministry, men's ministry, women's ministry, and small groups for every demographic you could think of, there is a place for you here! The preaching is gospel-centered, the vision for outreach is obvious, and the commitment to the accurate teaching of God's Word is paramount. Church has a traditional service at 08:30 and contemporary services at 1000 and 11:30, and a Hispanic service at 1:00 PM on Sundays, and small groups that meet throughout the week.

Both the Youth and Children's ministers are very well organized, motivational, and centered on the Gospel. This church does a great job welcoming people and making them feel like family. I love that they consider themselves a "Go and Tell" church. Matthew 28:19-20 is the first thing you see in big letters on the wall when you walk in the front door.

What am I going to do to prioritize my commitment to God? 2) Fitness - God wants the body of Christ to be healthy physically, emotionally, and mentally. You can't be a blessing to others if you are always sick. Never stop learning and get some real rest so our body restores. 3) Finances - Sow, pay God. Save, pay yourself. Spend, pay your bills. 4) Family - pray together, share feelings, and praise each other. 5) Friendships - you are only as strong as your circle! Who are you going to eliminate and who are you going to connect to? Bad company corrupts good people. Develop friendships where you can add value and receive value to get you to your destiny. 6) Fun - what are you going to do for fun in 2015? You work too hard not to enjoy the fruits of your labor. God wants us to have a rich and satisfying life. Plan a family trip and take it. And most important, find an accountability partner in these areas to assist you. Great congregation, "come as you are", not a church you are looked down on for wearing shorts/jeans and a t-shirt. Everyone is welcome. They've recently remodeled the interior and it looks fabulous/updated and our new Pastor is awesome! If you want great Biblical teaching and a casual church with great worship music and sermons that are Biblically sound - then this is the church for you.
