10/5 stars if I could. I HIGHLY recommend Elliot Therapeutics! If you're looking at an…read moreacupuncturist's reviews, you're obviously here for a reason. Whatever brought you to look at these reviews, let this be the one that pushes you over the edge: Just book an appointment already. She offers packages so the treatments really aren't that expensive. Save yourself the regret and try it now! It's really not painful, the needles are much smaller than any medical procedure, and Sarah WANTS you to have a good + healing time so just communicate with her. I literally have been telling everyone I know. If you have a chronic pain issue don't just live with it, fix it! Acupuncture is recommended as a valid treatment by John Hopkins + Harvard. It's not pseudo science, it's real science that works with your nerves and stimulates neurotransmitters. I waited until after 5 sessions (~7 weeks) to post this review, but I seriously feel like I inhabit a different body than I had in March when I had my first appointment (posting this in May). I have had painful tension headaches and migraines with auras my entire adult life - and so does some of my extended family - so I assumed they were just something I had to manage. These acupuncture treatments gave me my body back!

What an incredible experience…read more When I went in for my consultation with Dr. Eileen Zhuo and her assistant, I wasn't even healthily skeptical of Chinese medicine, non-Western practices and acupuncture. I was convinced they didn't work at all. But I also felt like I had nothing to lose. I'd been suffering from severe, two-week-long PMS that basically left me incapacitated, chronically lethargic and sick - for half my life. My period cramps were even worse. I was taking approximately 5-12 Advils a day (200 mg/pill) for several days to combat the cramps, assuring the eventual destruction of my liver. I was prescribed Ketoralac for pain management by my ob/gyn, a medication with a black box warning. Within two weeks of starting acupuncture and taking both kinds of herbs that Zhuo recommended, I was on the mend. The first period after starting acupuncture was without cramps entirely. So was the second. And the third. My PMS started to lift. Or rather, it shifted from severe to mild. Even my intense food cravings disappeared. But oddly, other changes started occurring that nobody at the clinic warned me about. For instance, I now have this incredible, formidable bodily and mental energy that I've never had in my life. Apparently, I'm producing more chi because I'm regaining my health. I have so much energy that I often don't know how to channel it. And my insomnia is practically gone. I always have been a night owl, often taking more than two hours from the time my head hits the pillow to fall asleep. After three months of treatment, I'm sleeping within 15 minutes of laying down, sometimes less. I've never felt more alive or more in control of my life. Not only has this experience changed my mind about non-allopathic healing and Chinese medicine, but it's changed every aspect of everything I do.

After two sessions there was a noticeable difference in my digestive issues (which Western medicine couldn't fix). After three months of seeing her, we became pregnant! I'm continuing to see her through my first trimester and would highly recommend her!
