I want to know exactly what I'm going to get before I arrive. The Ramada offers just that. Check-in was quick and easy and there is plenty of parking. My room was situated just above the lobby and I was worried that would make it loud at night but there were no problems. It was actually a bit more spacious than most standard rooms I've stayed in. While it didn't have a full kitchenette, it was nice having a bar fridge, microwave, and sink in the room. The only issue I had was that the wi-fi signal in my room was quite weak. The exercise facility at this hotel is exceptional. Most hotels offer 2-3 cardio machines, and maybe some free weights if you've lucky. However, this one had 5 cardio options, weight machines, free weights, and mats for guest use. Very impressed. I was also happy that the pool area had both a hot tub and a steam room, both of which were a nice way to relax before bed. Options for hotels in Brooks are pretty limited but at least you can rely on the Ramada for quality service.

The rooms were clean and comfortable with no major issues. I love that they offer a variety of different pillows and I didn't have any trouble getting to sleep. The only real disappointment was that the waterslide in the pool area wasn't turned on. We probably could have asked about it at the front desk but it wasn't a huge deal. At least the hot tub was working! We definitely took advantage of that! Before checking out, I sat down for their continental breakfast. It was pretty standard fare (bagels, toast, cereal). It would have been nice to have some non-meat hot food. The only hot items they had were frittatas containing meat and sausage. Other than that though it was a decent breakfast.

But, to my surprise, there were tasty breakfast sandwiches, to be warmed up in the microwave, fruit cups, nice coffee and OJ and 4 kinds of cereal as well as fruit, bagels and hard-boiled eggs. The rooms are adequate in size, with a mini kitchenette that has a fridge, microwave and kettle/Keurig. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast buffet in the morning will cater to most appetites and tastes. As mentioned, the pool is great, being a decent enough size that you can get a proper swim in if so desired, as well as the water slide. The slide is a fair length, even going outside the hotel before curving back in. My son absolutely loved it. Although they provide breakfast, there's no restaurant in the hotel. However, there is a Boston Pizza and Irish Pub within the same parking lot, which provide decent food and a 10% discount if you show your room key. If we ever go back to Drumheller, I will definitely stay here again.

The rooms were nice - the bed could've been a tad bit softer but everything was clean. My only complaint would be the check in. There was a trainee who checked us in and didn't update any credit card information, got our rooms mixed up and it was a huge to do. if I hadn't noticed I would've been paying for all my families room. He was nice but clearly wasn't prepared check ins and could use some more training
