I had my hair dyed with henna and it did look nice for a while- but for the price i paid and the very limited amount of time the dye was actually noticeable, it really wasn't worth it. Every product was at least 3 times more expensive than other salons. My hair felt a little healthier and i felt i deserved a brownie point for being so economically-good, but i didn't really notice any difference in the quality of the products.

There's a good stack of men's magazines and newspapers, and tinted windows so you don't hot up whilst you wait. A smart and tidy place.

The chat that is customary of a hairdresser is there if you want it, but not overtly forced and not as mundane as some of the gossipy London types. Above all, it only costs eight quid. You're getting a great cut for that money, and I'm always sure to round it up to a tenner as they're so friendly.

They also added cross hatching that I said I didn't want. I now have a massive blob on my back, that looks nothing like the peice I took in. I've had it for 10years because they refused to do anything to help my situation, I do not trust anyone to fix it and will have a massive scar from it if its lazered as my skin is raised and scared. I went to the shop to talk to them about it and they took me into an empty room & the manager and the tattoist had a go at me. intimidated I left and haven't dared go anywhere to get it fixed and have had really bad image issues. I have spoken to a friend who managed tattoo parlers around the UK who was appalled. She said on the rare occasion this has happend they have payed for tattoo removal as it is the ethical thing to do!

Whenever I've been in it's never been busy, but I think that's just the way Enzo likes to run business- not too rushed off his feet. There's two sides to the shop, a large room with most of the equipment, and a smaller room to the side, which for some reason he's always cut my hair in - I'm not sure of the difference. His prices are very reasonable compared to what you can pay nearer town, about £6 for a mens cut and £15 for a blow dry (so I'm told for the latter). For a cheap, no fuss haircut Enzo's your man.

Not really my cup of tea at all this is the sort of place you'd spend several hours chatting about your haircut, starting your cut, chatting a bit more and finishing it off for lunch. Come to think of it it sounds more like a gruelling interrogation technique than a cup of tea - but courses for horses. If it's a quality professional job you're after and you have nothing but time to spare - Enzo's could be your ticket.
