Woof, woof, woof, woof…read more I really shouldn't let my dog write my reviews for me, but I can say that without a doubt he LOVES this place. Since this doggie daycare is out in the SE industrial part of Calgary, it's less expensive than dropping your pooch off downtown. $22 for a full day of dog slobbers. Of course like most dog housing establishments, you get a better deal if you buy a card. The bonus is if you do partake in the card deal is they will clip your dog's nails for you! Which is amazing as nothing stresses me or my golden out more than me with the nail clippers, cutting off the tiniest pieces of nail for fear of clipping a vein. End sad puppy dog face. They have two rooms, the large dog play area and the rest/little dog room. Indy is often in the rest room as he wipes himself out early on in the day and loves little dogs. I haven't tested out the grooming side here other than the nail clips as my boy just needs brushing, but my only complaint is that with the rest room (hehehhe not bathroom), they have couches and chairs in there and I am pretty sure this where my dog learned that he is fully able to get up on the couch when no one is at home. He also knows to get off the couch before we open the door. On the other hand, It is nice to know though that if you decide to board your pup over night they are not left in kennels, but in the rest area where they have their choice of soft option to lay down on. Like all dog daycares your dog will be pleasantly exhausted after a full day here, the staff are really friendly and always have smiles for Indy when he paws his way through the door in the morning. Mystic Pawz is our go-to grooming salon, and we recommend it to anyone who asks (or even if they…read moredon't). I have a rescue dog that is very skittish. His first groom he was taken to Petsmart. He came out looking like they only poofed him up instead of shaved him - but in the years since, we haven't been able to get our dog to even go into Petsmart for any reason. We heard about Mystic Pawz at the offleash park from a very handsome pup and his owner. We figured we would try it. We've been to many groomers, but this is the only one that our dog doesn't seem terrified of. Each and every time we've been there, he has come out looking wonderful and goes in willingly (which is refreshing as he's been known to break out of his collar to escape other grooming salons). The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the dogs are taken care of. The attention to detail is wonderful. They are quick to respond and very flexible about getting the dogs in. Despite moving further away from this salon, it will be the only one we take our pup too. It is definitely worth the extra drive. If you want your dog treated right, looking good and for a more than fair price - these guys are superb! They are consistent, friendly, and really great to work with. We will be life long pet owners - so we will be lifelong customers of these guys!

Few friends looked at the pictures of our dog and we're mortified spoke with another groomer this is never a reason to shave it all off to such level and also they agreed that we should have been consulted.

Can I say again how awesome it is to have someone come to your door to take cart of your most precious pooch, your first fur child, as if they were their own? My beautiful, sparkling boy came prancing to the door after his "spa" treatment all fluffy and new, just like he looked as a puppy. Even had his Sunday best on (a tie with stars!) If you are questioning whether you should have a door-to-door service, please stop. Your furry friend will thank you! Fetching Fido, you are the best!

They are bad for properly crediting your account when credit is supposed to be given and then you have to fight for it - and....you'll lose. Dr Schell is a good vet but it's going to cost you big time and they get upset if you go somewhere cheaper for routine testing. I took my dog to another vet for a urinalysis because BBV was hundreds of dollars more expensive. The results were sent back to BBV and they charged me about $80 for Dr Schell to look at the results at our next visit - which we also paid a full vet exam fee plus the charge to look at the results. One month, my dog was there 3 times that month for the same issue and I was charged a full vet exam fee every visit. Typically vets don't charge for follow up exams. They usually charge for the initial exam but not for a follow up / check up of the same issue. This was the last straw for me - so I moved on to a different holistic vet after being with BBV for a few years and my dog being a very regular patient of theirs...getting monthly chiro and acupuncture as well as regular check ups etc. I'll pay what I have to for my fur babies but I don't like being "nickel and dimed" to death. Please notice that all the other reviews are several years old. I think they've changed in a negative way over the last 5 years.
