love this cozy little hidden breakfast spot!! honestly so underrated and delicious, had a HUGE flapjack here. they ran out of chocolate milk and made me my own with regular milk and chocolate instead of telling me they don't have any, talk about excellent service! definitely check out for delicious breakfast without breaking the bank

It's rare to find a breakfast place that cooks bacon crispy. Not floppy. Pat's deserves all 5 stars just for the bacon. Crispy and so delicious. Service was amazing and the kitchen was fast. There isn't much to see in way of ambiance, but this busy breakfast restaurant is worth the wait. So glad we ate here. Omelets, egg sandwiches and pancakes. All very good.

As a Daytona native I've been coming to Pats for years. It use to be one of the locals best kept secrets but visitors have discovered this gem. No frills basic food, good breakfasts and lunch, they're only open from 7:00-2:00. Good service by employees who've been there just about as long as I e been eating there. I got the creamed chopped beef on home fries, hubby got a traditional eggs, grits, bacon, and toast breakfast. Don't miss the blueberry pancake, it might say the order is only one pancake but trust me, it's HUGE!

CASH ONLY I really liked this place and I would go back. It is definitely a small local "diner" vibe. Atmosphere: Small place with tables close together and lots of fun signs on wall. Very small open kitchen. They didn't have really butter only whipped spread. I had French fries with my bacon cheeses burger omelet which both were great.

There's always an unexpected guest or two!

My favorite place for breakfast when staying in Daytona Beach Shores!! Great little place celebrating 35 years!! Love the location right on the river; Love the staff that remains the same; Love the food!

One of our favorite out of the way places in Daytona The food is delicious and the help here is Devine. Very friendly and busy atmosphere. Cash only but we'll worth every Penny. Lots of funny cute signs hanging about. A little bit hard to find but treasures abound when you do. I love the seafood omelet Ask for Sherry and tell her Freddy sent you

Pats Riverfront Cafe is located behind the Marina and we had a little bit of a confusing time temporarily finding it, but eventually we did. The inside is decorated in a very Floridian diner/cafe type of way with a lot of funny signs inside and such. The waitress was very polite and attentive. My husband ordered a bacon and cheese omelette and stated it was exactly what it seems like it would be. Bacon, cheese, eggs. So that was good. I ordered a Rueben and it was terrible, unfortunately. It was primarily sauerkraut with 2 slices of corned beef and very soggy bread. The beef was tough and very chewy as well so I guess it was a bit of a blessing there was barely any of it there. A Rueben is a corned beef sandwich with sauerkraut, not a sauerkraut sandwich with maybe some corned beef. Absolutely not worth its price. The fries were fresh and very typical, so they're a safe item to order and enjoy, but I would definitely recommend not wasting your time or money or mood on the Rueben sandwich.

Another nice breakfast this morning at Pat's. Sat inside since it was very windy. Enjoyed the tuna steak, eggs and potatoes. The tuna steak was so large!! Great price for what I got. Love how the wait staff all work together and each one takes a roll in your experience. The birds hanging around outside were quite comfortable with the patrons coming and going.

WOW. What a great place we found for breakfast on the river. Little hard to find but glad we did. Both indoor and limited outdoor seating. It was 9:30 when we arrived and it was packed. Waited about 20 min to place order. Since it was nice out we elected to sit outdoors. I had a breakfast bowl. Very good. My wife pancakes and eggs with bacon. Also very good. Of course a mimosa too. I would definitely come back to this hidden gem. I held back a star only because some of the staff seemed grouchy. Maybe an off day but I'll be back.

Daily special was open roast beef. The other is a bacon cheddar burger.

The food was fresh and good. Mainly comfort food and breakfast. Service was prompt and friendly. It's a converted house on the riverbank. Nice view of the river.

The ambiance is not great because the place is old but the food was great. I had a Reuben and my wife had a mahi sandwich.

The Pink Flamingo was delicious. The biggest surprise for us was the cinnamon roll kitchen where bakers are making fresh cinnamon rolls in front of you and you can eat as many as you like! The beauty of this restaurant is that the "fish camp" fixins' are on an all-you-can-eat buffet. But your entree is made to order, fresh for you! Best of both worlds! We had 8 in our party and were delighted to know that it takes 12 for the gratuity to be automatic. That was not an issue, though. Our first server "cousin Richard" was excellent, but then he got pulled away and "cousin Bailey" took care of us. Both were delightfully friendly and very attentive. In our group we had chicken tenders, which I sampled and were some of the best I've ever had. We had shark and alligator appetizers. They were both awesome. We had sautéed shrimp and sautéed scallops. Both were swimming in a delicious buttery garlic sauce and cooked to perfection. One had meatloaf and said it was great! One had salmon. And a couple of people had the crab cakes which they also said were delicious. The sides were also good, and the "fish camp" sides were awesome. I want to especially comment on the cheese grits. As a G.R.I.T.S. (Girl raised in the south) and a devout grits snob, I give my wholehearted double thumbs-up on the grits. I thought my grandson was going to make himself sick eating so much! Final word, the cinnamon rolls were AMAZING!! Warm out of the oven and covered with sugary sauce.

Overall the food was good but overall bad experience, unfortunately. Our waiter was struggling…read morebad... He messed up the order of a table next to us twice and the guy didn't eat while his entire family ate their meals. Not sure if he was new or just having a very bad day. My wife got sick halfway through our appetizer meal and I promptly told him I needed 2 boxes and the check as soon as he brought our main dish... I waited at least 30 minutes until he came back with the check and boxes, then he left again to correct the check for another 10-15. I wished he would have been a bit faster and more attentive since we were trying to leave in somewhat of a rush... I think maybe this place is just understaffed or we got a bad waiter. The catfish was still good the next day and the cinnamon rolls were AMAZING though!!

Our first night in town, we seemed to be striking out on restaurants that offered more than one or two items gluten free. That is, until I found the menu online for mama foo foo. I can say with confidence that Mama Foo Foo knows how to do gluten free food the right way. Our first visit was for dinner, and the ambiance was on point. Perfectly lit, short wait, cool art, and great music. The waitress was very knowledgeable about gluten free options, and even offered alternatives when she discovered that they were out of gluten free crackers for the burrata and fig. My dinner, the honey glazed scallops with lobster risotto and grilled carrots, was prepared perfectly. The staff was attentive, refilling drinks and water and checking in regularly. Price was very reasonable for the quality of food. A solid five star visit. It was so good in fact that we came back a few days later for brunch to enjoy their signature wagyu smash burger. I opted for the breakfast version (fried egg, avocado and tomato relish toppings) while my husband went with the more traditional lunch version. Again, the waiter was attentive and immediately knew to advise me that the fries were dusted with flour and offered alternatives. The grapefruit dressing on the salad was delish! Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu the next time we are in town.
