Best pizza I have ever had in NYC. The service was perfect and the pizza was cooked to perfection. The char and the crust are like a desert. The whole vibe was very cool. The streets are alittle rough, but worth the fear of being mugged for the pizza.

A slice of Original Patsy's Pizza. It's definitely one of a kind. Perfection

Had a friend in town and had to take them to get one of the best pizzas in New York City. The original Patsy's pizzeria on first Avenue and 118th St. We ordered a half cheese and half meatball Classic pie. It was completely delicious as usual. My friend really enjoyed it and will definitely be back. The service was excellent as usual. Servers were very attentive and accommodating. And as far as ambience, it's a pizza joint. There's other patrons enjoying their meals, speaking lightly amongst themselves. Overall, it was a great experience and the Pizza was awesome as always. So if you want some real New York pizza make sure you hit up the original Patsys Pizza on first Avenue between 118th and 117th St. they've been there since 1933 and that's how you know they're one of the best. -Ray

Patsy's in East Harlem is a place where time stopped and decided it was better off dead. The Rat Pack used to spend evenings here. Now the room they once occupied is filled with stacked chairs and mop buckets. That seems about right. The coal fired oven is the star of the show. It has been here for decades after decades, spitting fire and smoke, heating the kitchen until the walls themselves beg for mercy. I touched the wall during a tour of the kitchen. It was hot enough to cook an egg. This may in fact be part of the business model. The pizzas come out of the inferno in less than five minutes. Five minutes is not very long in the grand sweep of history. It is apparently long enough to turn a pizza crust into a battlefield, though. The char was not subtle. I am from the land of Trenton Tomato Pie where char is a compliment. Here the char had crossed the border into burnt territory and was waving a black flag. The sauce was good. The cheese was fresh. The oven was ancient and noble. The history hung in the air like incense. It is still cash only which makes it feel like church to the gods of dough. There was a nice selection of Italian beers in the refrigerator. All of these things are good. And yet this was my least favorite slice of the four we tried that day on Scott's Pizza Tour. The truth is that Patsy's is an institution. People will keep coming here to taste history baked at nearly 900 degrees. The Rat Pack is gone. The coal fire remains. The pizza will keep coming out blackened and steaming until the coal runs out or the building itself melts into the sidewalk. Four stars. Because you don't give a place like this fewer, even when you liked the other slices better.

In all my years in NY, I failed to check out Patsy's. Those who know, know that Patsy's is an institution. They're as old-school NY as can be. It remains cash only and they continue to operate the slice shop window. On my last visit to NY, I decided to check it out. I was not disappointed! The classic cheese slice is a bit on the small side but as the man ahead of me told some others "it is fire!"

**CASH ONLY** This place is obviously an institution, but somehow I'd never been until a recent holiday Friday. Half of the place is for takeout pizza, the other half is dining room. My boyfriend and I dined in and ordered the Caesar salad, Margherita pizza and chicken parm with spaghetti. The salad was great - huge portion - and the pizza was amazing. Parm was decent, but we'd actually ordered the eggplant (they messed up the order and brought chicken instead). Worth visiting the OG! 4.5 stars.

Patsy's Pizzeria in Italian Harlem makes the perfect slice!!!

Don't normally get this far east uptown to what remains of Italian Harlem, but wanted for some time to make it to Patsy's Pizzeria once learning that there's a storefront adjacent to the sit-down restaurant where you could go for just slices. So, glad I did! The friendly pizzaiolos behind the counter are masters. Baked fresh in their coal oven, these perfect $2.50 slices really hit the spot! Crust, sauce, cheese all perfect! Definitely, will make the long, cross-town journey to this historic Patsy's Pizzeria location, a New York original! A real treat! It's worth the trip for me and recommend you check it out too!

Neighborhood staple. Whenever I'm In the arena I must storm get a pie. I made a mistake of getting garlic on my margarita pie. The gathered tasted vinegary from a jar. Kinda unbalanced the pie. Next time I'll just get plain margarita pie.

Walked in on a random Wednesday evening and was not disappointed. Called 10mins prior for a cheese pie and it was ready in my arrival. There wasn't a lot of people inside however, they were filming a movie which was pretty dope. Staff was welcoming but since I was just picking up my pie, I didn't stay long to engage with them. The pizza was piping hot, with delicious thin slices.

    Beautiful undercarriage and zero flop

Pizza in NYC can be a very emotional topic but I am going to attack this issue head-on: Patsy's is the absolute best in NYC. Yes, #1. There are many other very god places, but outside of New Haven, you will not find a finer pie. Let me start with the challenges: they only take cash and it is located in what used to be an Italian enclave in East Harlem. But let me tell you, it is worth thr subway ride or cab fare. Patsy's coal oven combined with a commitment to using only the highest quality ingredients results in a superior product. The pies are light and thin as a supermodel with chronic bulimia. The sauce is bright, light, and shines of ripe tomatoes, while the crust has the perfect light char and absolutely zero flop. In fact these pies are so light that I reckon one person can eassily put away twice the pizza they would typically eat. Patsy's is also a time capsule of a New York that is rapidly disappearing, with its wood panels, celebrity pix, portrait of loyal customer Frank Sinatra, and Wall of honor dedicated to 9/11 responders. Service is excellent, especially Omar, who has worked at Patsy's for more than a quarter century and took enormous pride in the quality of the food he serves. He used to make the pizzas, and is a font of pizza making facts. Yes, there are many other good pizza places in NYC, but none as good and welcoming as Patsy's. And if you only want a slice or two, the do have a stand outside that sells slices. Finally, do not be fooled by the other places called Patsy's: only go to thr original on First Avenue in Harlem. .you will be glad you did.

Really good looking and good tasting pizza
    J W.

Outstanding pizza. Nice, crisp crust, tasty sauce that is not too sweet and good cheese. Very well baked. Just a little burnt edge on one slice but not so burnt as to take away from it. Have to try the slices next.

I dont see red wine on the menu. I see orange juice, chocolate milk and soda but no chianti. Could this be true? No italian red wine at a pizza joint? No wine of any kind?

There is a separate pizza shop. It's separate from the restaurant, im sure they have wine.

Is it true that JetBlue is delivering your pizza to Los Angeles?

Leo M./Julie B. - The pizza received via Jetblue was terrible. 10 hour old pizza is not good, no matter what you tell me. I hope Jetblue makes up to Patsy's because it was wonderfully thought up, terribly executed.

It's almost impossible for me to ever be happy with Italian food outside of Italy or home. WELL, Ci Siamo proved me WRONG and I'm so happy they did. We came here for a pre concert dinn dinn. Initially I thought we'd just get some drinks and apps and keep it moving. The dishes were jaw dropping and served with the prettiest details. We ordered the tagliatelle al sugo, orechiette with ramps, pistachio and pecorino and the snap peas with bulgur, asparagus and sunflour seeds. WOW WOW WOW The sugo was uncomplicatedly made come lo fa tua nonna. None of the heavy Italian American traditions. All so delicious adding their own twist. The orecchiette was such a creative dish but also so bright, colorful and so many different textures and flavors that to perfectly together. Portions were perfectly sized and we got to share and try everything. If we would've ordered apps it would've been too much. Got the Ci siamo martini (botanical to the core just how I like it!) and a rotating mezcal with aperol drink. Overall great place to dine in or come out with your friends. Be sure to make a resy!

I only had a late lunch because I wasn't super hungry, but what I had was pretty tasty. Honestly, I was inspired to write this review for the salad lol. The INSALATA VERDE, was freaking incredible. All of the flavors were good, I just think it didn't come together in a way that my taste buds enjoyed lol. But I can't say it was nasty, just not my vibe. Overall was a great visit, and a great location for a cute lunch in the city, especially if you're near the highline! Oh! WOW SO DELICIOUS!! hack to get a res is going for lunch lol…read more this meal was so yummy!! the perciatelli nero was bright, citrusy, and had an aftertaste of spicy (from the pepper i assume). the crab pieces were generous and buttery and the pasta seemed to be homemade and cooked al dente. very light and refreshing and the sauce was addicting. i think this pasta paired perfectly with the burger. definitely a heavier, decadent dish, but also surprisingly not too salty. the meat itself was fine but i thought the bun was so good especially since the bottom bun kinda absorbed the meat and cheese juice and the top bun stayed crispy and soft. potatoes on the side were fine. tbh i think this is the best meal ive had at an italian restaurant. and they gave us free gelato for my friend's birthday!!! great service, lots of seating (altho the tables were kinda sat pretty close together) and honestly a great place to catch up over a yummy meal.

They're so savory with a hint of spice and richness from the runny egg. 10/10! Mains: Garganelli, Cacio E Pepe, Roasted Carrots - all three of these dishes were incredible. The Garganelli had a rich mushroom ragu and the Cacio was perfectly rich and creamy. The carrots were a sleeper hit- the za'atar and pistachio put it over the top!
