Several months ago I posted a very honest objective review of the elder services provided by this agency. Curiously, the review I posted, has disappeared. I suggest that you carefully and explicitly lay out exactly what your expectations are from this provider. An elderly friend of mine has been receiving services from 3 aides from this agency. One aide is very attentive and caring. She knows what to do, when to assist & when to allow my friend a little independence in completing certain tasks. Another aide, while personable and confident, left my elderly friend alone because the aide's daughter needed a ride somewhere. The aide did this twice. She did not get approval from the agency. Imagine that! Leaving the house when the elderly woman was asleep. The third aide does nothing but sit and watch television, look at her computer, or talk on her cell phone. She lacks creativity in assisting the elder woman when the woman may be a bit slow getting ready for lunch or dinner dates or appointments. The aide never attempts to engage intellectually or otherwise with my friend. Further, the aide resents anyone offering respectful suggestions about how to appropriately engage my friend. A block of wood might do a better job! Direction and consistency of services from the top is clearly lacking. read more
