Lewis Fackrell Photography Review…read more Eager to get going as soon as the lead is attached to my collar immediately I knew I was going to my favourite place, the park. However, something was different about this walk... When we got to the park we met Lewis. Although I'd never met him before it didn't take me long to feel comfortable in the presence of him and his camera. His friendly approach and calming nature meant he instantly earned my trust and by the end of our walk he had me 'eating out the palm of his hand'. Guiding him around my favourite spots of the park I really gave him the run around, he was crouching down, throwing sticks, running between trees, and even managed to keep me entertained during my usual distractions of picnics, dogs and squirrels. That is quite a challenge if you are familiar with the energy levels of a six month old puppy! Lewis came up with some great ideas and was willing to try anything to ensure he got the best shots. I hadn't even perfected my tricks with my own human yet Lewis was patient and encouraging and had me sitting and striking poses within minutes. A true professional. Overall, Lewis managed to capture my best angles and was able to make me look even more adorable that I already am! I came to Morag Macdonald (Documentary Image) to have some head shots done around a month ago…read more It was fantastic, it's always so difficult to have an individual photo done like that as you always feel a little uncomfertable, but Marag made the whole thing so easy and comfertable and drawing out exactley what I was looking for in the photo. You are paying for the quality, and you definatley get it. From the moment you walk in the studio it is such a relaxed, but very modern and contemporary atmosphere. There are a couple of sofa's so you can sit and read a magazine while you wait for all the equipment to be set up. Then you are given alot of time and attention during the shoot itself. Afterwards I had a chat with Morag about the kind of finish I was after and she new exactly what it was I meant and we scheduled in a time in a few days for me to come and check the photo's were ok and come and pick them up. All in all a really easy but brilliant photography session.

It really put our minds at ease so on the day, Morag knew where we'd be, at what time and knew who everyone was when it came to group photos. Morag is such a lovely lady who put both Ellie and I at ease - she even managed to get some great kissing shots of us - something we never thought we could pull off! :o). The rest of her photos were stunning too from the bridal morning shots, to the church, to an oak tree and finally the evening reception. They offer photography and multimedia services to businesses large and small. The 3,000 square foot studio has a 28' wide infinity curve and drive in access.They have a food fetish. They like to photograph it. At the Pinegate base there is ample parking, kitchen and food preparation facilities. They are a creative photographic studio, and understand the unique balance between business and creative issues. A small, independent firm of digital and film printers, which also sells a small range of camera…read moreaccessories. They market themselves on a friendly, local and professional service. I had to use them recently when I had a problem with my digital camera, and they lived up to expectations. Although, ultimately, I had to buy a replacement memory chip, they were cheerful and very willing to help and successfully diagnosed the problem (all for free), and made sure that the camera was working properly before I left. Nice old-fashioned service, in other words. I've since looked at their web-site - nice try, but it lets them down a bit. Still, service on the day is what counted, and they delivered.

Service can be helpful and friendly, however, after getting a precious film developed (the actual…read morebirth of my nephew), the machinery broke and we lost the whole film. We were just offered a replacement film. Nothing can bring those pictures back. I will not use them again for developing pictures and will use my trusty digital camera instead of old fashioned equipment. I must add that this was years ago and staff may have changed since then or ownership may have been taken over. The shop has lots of lovely frames and gift ideas on offer.
