I like lights better after all. So I went here to get it set up for lights again. I didn't hear anything after a week, so I asked about it on Saturday. The store manager said he'd get to it. He emailed me back and said he didn't have the right size tool to adjust the truss rod. So he couldn't adjust the action. What did I want to do? I kept it as is. But my guitar is a standard 2019 model without an exotic truss rod. So I asked about him about the guy who had worked on my guitar last year as I'd seen him at the West Hartford store too. "He doesn't work here anymore, as of early July." "Okay. Are you planning on hiring a new guitar tech guy in the future?" "Guitar tech ability isn't a priority when I hire someone. He just happened to do it. And we don't buy new tools to work on guitars either." Ohhhhhkay. So he basically told me setups/repairs on guitars are not something he cares about or has any interest in investing in. I realize doing this isn't the only service a store like this offers, but I did think it was ONE of the basic services it would offer. He told me no. In so many words, go somewhere else. So I will. Only trouble is I don't drive so not quite as easy as it is for most, but I was clearly barking up the wrong tree here. It all seemed pretty strange to me. Never encountered this before in a music store.

Francesco took a lot of time (over several visits) to educate us about the brands he carried in the store, what makes a high quality instrument, what to look for. He never pressured us or steered us towards a higher priced/higher quality instrument and he agreed with us that we should start slowly and then, if we needed to, trade up for a higher quality piano later. In fact, he made the decision very easy for us. We purchased a good middle-level piano, and when my son needs more instrument, Francesco will buy back our current piano for what we paid for it, and help us trade up for a higher quality instrument. How could we go wrong?! Also, two free tunings with the new piano, which is a great deal. He came and delivered it to us, advised us on the care of the instrument, and has always been very available to us. He wants to be sure you are really happy with your purchase. He really knows his stuff and is a pleasure to work with. Please give this business a call if you are in the market for a piano, or are in need of a tuning. Our piano teacher has two gorgeous grand pianos in her home and she said she ONLY trusts Francesco to tune them. She said his tunings are extremely reasonably priced and he does an EXCELLENT job.

He was informative and sent me videos and reviews about the model I wanted. He was wonderful on the phone and went out of his way to explain to me the process of shipping and delivery to Boston. I will not hesitate to call them again! So much better than the other paino dealers I dealt with.

From the owner: What is Music Together®?…read more For hundreds of thousands of families worldwide, children and adults enrolled in the Music Together program joyfully share in songs, rhymes, movement, and instrument play, both in class and in their daily lives. A pioneer in early childhood music and movement education since 1987, Music Together offers classes for children from birth through the early elementary years, in which parents and caregivers actively participate. All children are sounders and movers, and their natural aptitude for music blossoms in a sufficiently rich, musical environment. In fact, when given a supportive music environment, children learn to sing and dance as naturally as they learn to walk and talk. How is this possible? Children learn differently than adults. They learn instinctively and constantly. They teach themselves through imitation and play, through being immersed in their environment, and through every interaction with adults and older children. The family-like setting of Music Together's mixed-age classes enables siblings to attend together, creating an ideal learning environment where infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary-aged children can freely participate at their own levels. Come and experience for yourself the incredible experience that our program provides and make musical memories with your child that will last a lifetime!
