The curtain factory has three sites within 500 metres from each other that specialise in different…read morecurtain products. The main big site is a maze of different rooms which hold different types of curtain upholstery, fabrics and essential accessories. The second smaller site holds clearance fabrics and the third smallest site holds ready made curtains. From curtain lining to different types of curtain rails, all your needs will be met! There is also, a sample room in the main site for fabrics that are not in stock and made to order! Prices are from £4 per metre which seems cheap, however, the total cost to make up your curtains may be pricey! Staff on-site are very helpful, welcoming and friendly. The factory is open from 9 till 6pm Monday to Saturday and Sunday 10 till 4pm. There is a small car park on-site and a waitrose right next door. Just go to John Lewis…read more We ordered a pair of blinds for the patio doors & when we picked them up & got them home, they were not what we ordered. We emailed & there was a lot of back & forth & pictures sent before they acknowledged that they were the wrong blinds. When we took them back, Donald the owner, said it was an error from the manufacturers & he would contact them. The next time we went there, we opened the blinds in-store to check. When we got them home, we put them up & they were gorgeous. There were even a few extra strips in case the others got damaged. We then decided to get a pair of curtains for the box room. Donald was very helpful with advice on the best type of curtain for that room, showed us a variety of finishes & options for blackout. We selected a fabric & placed our order. He said he would be away for two weeks so they would order the fabric now & make them up in two weeks. In that time, I emailed asking for roman blinds instead & offered to go to the store to sign off on the change. I didn't hear back from him for another two weeks, so sent another email to say to leave it as it was in the original order. We went back to the store & spoke to Donald who said he hadn't contacted us when he got back as he thought *we* were on holiday. We confirmed that the original order was the one we wanted & he assured us he would get to work on them & let us know when they were done. This was in July. We hadn't heard back so I emailed but no response. We called the store & every time, it was an employee who picked up. We were given a variety of excuses: he didn't have access to the emails, Donald left early for the day/was at a client/it was Donald's day off/Donald was sick... Eventually (mid-October) we got a call from Donald who claimed that while he was ill, one of his employees accidentally gave our made-to-measure, £300 curtains to another client (yeah, right). He went on to say that there was no more of this fabric so he couldn't make a replacement pair, but if we came into store, we could select any fabric & have a pair made. I asked if he could not simply ask the customer for the curtains back & he said that from experience, it's more hassle than it's worth. That sent alarm bells ringing so I went into store the following Saturday for a refund. I have already disuaded 3 friends from going here as I don't want them to go through what I did.

What seemed like a nice shop and customer service turned out to be the biggest nightmare of our…read morerenovation project. Donald & Alan were both pretty much liars, fitted track was installed by a 3rd party who didnt complete the job as he didnt have enough parts on him, supposed to be returning with parts and after various phone calls & lies upon lies, they didnt fix the curtains. Then they sent another cowboy to repair the "new track" they had installed. this guy turned up with his 3 year old child to fix our track and did not have tools to finish the job. He left. After 3 months of nagging, and fitting dates that never materialised, i had to personally go to the shop and i made a point in front of other customers in the shop, at which point i was offered a refund for my track. I would never recommend these cowboys to anyone. They are very sweet talkers and conmen. Please avoid these people.
