I found the service to be unsatisfactory especially for the absolute obscene amount of money I was charged by State Farm Markoe. I called two agents here in town and saved $1000 on my homeowner's policy. Just on my homeowners. This is the third time I have written this review. Each of the two previous times the review has been pulled by Yelp because it seems like State Farm or SOMEONE doesn't like a customer posting the TRUTH. I wonder why?

American family insurance is one of the worst companies we have felt with. We were on their…read moreinsurance for 10+ years. We left one agent in red wing becouse we could never get ahold of him if we had a question. We switched to the office right down town. Every bill we got was a late bill, we never received the first bill. We contacted them many times about this and they would say " there is nothing we can do about this, billing department is separate" . We recently called to see if we could get a lower rate. They said there is a new program and we qualified. Are insurance lowered quite a bit. Three months later we get a enormous bill! We contact them and they say " we found out you did not qualify for the program so you need to make up the difference" !! My wife trys to work somthing out on the phone and when we couldn't we said " well guess we will be looking at other insurance companies" we have had other issues before to with them. A month later we get a cancelation letter in the mail and we still had to pay! We never even called to cancel insurance. We went to state farm and got insurance for less than half the rate! They were so nice to! Stay away from American Family insurance!

Went into the office needing a basic service-insurance. Laurie informed me that the thing I…read morethought was just a "basic service" was more than that and was a Devine right of mine to really be schooled on the art of insurance. She was able to go though my policy options, line by line, and show me that what I had was inadequate. After that, by combining my other insurance policies with her, I was able to save enough money to fill up my tank for the following year. Frankly, even if she was a bit more, I would have switched; but don't tell her that lol.......... ;)
