But when he needs to turn up the heat and step in swiftly, he has no reservations. He most recently earned hero status in my eyes by the way he handled my 4-year old's very high fever. He found space in his schedule to see us early, and after examining my son ordered that he get a blood test and radio immediately to see if he had an infection causing the fever. It was the first time he responded with such urgency which was both reassuring and terrifying since he's usually very laid back and un-alarmist. Shows that he knows when a situation is urgent or not.

The moment we arrived at his office we knew our son was in good hands. As Americans, we are accustomed to endless forms, insurance paperwork, and sky-high costs. Imagine our surprise when Dr Belnoue himself met us at the door and escorted us into the lovely waiting room, which looked like someone's living room with sailing posters and jazz playing in the background. We waited for maybe 5 minutes while he treated the patient before us, and then he brought us into his office. After discussing the issue and examining our son, he cauterized the blood vessel and prescribed an antihistamine and salve. The whole thing cost 70 Euros total, compared to the same procedure we had done previously in California for $800 at an urgent care clinic. Dr Belnoue could not have been nicer, and his English was excellent. The antihistamine worked better than any we've ever found in the US - so much so that we want to return to Paris to see Dr Belnoue and get a big supply of Inorial! As we left the doctor's office, our son said with a big smile "that's the best doctor visit EVER."

Even if they had nothing to do with either of those outcomes really, I think I still go to them for their good news track record. Pros: - For most tests you don't need a prior appt. - They will fax results to your doctor if you request it. - They post your results online so you don't have to go back there for the paper version (unless you want to) - The personnel is efficient and some of the nurses are actually quite nice. - The space is clean and they have a ton of magazines to peruse while you wait. Cons: - The wait can be interminable. Count an hour from start to finish with most of the time spent waiting just to check-in.

To begin with, Dr. Hervé Grosgogeat is a GP with extensive training and an unfailing interest in medicine. His father is one of the top Cardiologists in France and has an office next to Dr. Hervé who took me in, asked what my problem was - took a thorough medical history, then hooked me up to an EKG and discovered shortly that I was in A-Fib. He issued me prescriptions for several medications including an injection of blood thinner that we purchased at nearby pharmacies for a total of $42 (That's right, French Health Card, better and cheaper than ours). He charged me 200 euros for the visit and made an appointment to see his father 3 days hence. I must say that they corrected my heart irregularity and with studied professionalism. At home in L.A., my personal cardiologist was impressed with what they accomplished in so little time - and all without the assistance of nurses, technicians, office staff. Yes, just the Doctor who greets you in the waiting room and brings you back. Five Stars for DR. HERVÉ GROSGOGEAT. He speaks English very well and has a sense of humor.

One of the things that I appreciated is that the doctor was professional and I did not at all have the impression that he was imcompetent. He asked pertinent questions and genuinely cared. The waiting room was also very large and beautiful. The entryway was impressive with big wooden staircase. I felt like I was being welcomed into someone's home and not really a doctor's office. After the ultrasound of my thyroid, I only waited another 5 minutes for my results and photos. The secretary was very curteous, as well, when she handed them to me and took care of my payment.

He is the BEST ENT I have ever seen in the world. Firstly for his effective treatments that rarely involve medication and secondly for his availability and compassion. When I am in the area, it means I have taken an airplane and sometimes I'll have plugged ears that don't go away. I can always get an appointment with Dr. Pandraud pretty easily. He does some manoeuvrings and then has me drink water and bing! Like magic my ears feel better. He has also helped me with sinus infections and very effective nasal lavage. This is a technique that empties the sinuses thereby relieving congestion and the resulting headaches. You feel better instantly without medication. Finally, since I trust him more than any other ENT in the states, I decided to come here when I needed laser surgery to remove polyps in my nasal sinus. The procedure is simple. I used to get chronic sinusitis (one nostril would always be blocked). I would be sick with a stuffy nose at least once a month. Additionally, every little cold turned into a week-long ordeal with painful sinus headaches. Now, thanks to Dr. Pandraud, I can blow my nose and any seasonal flus go away in a day or two and I am almost never sick. If you need laser surgery in your nose or throat and you have the possibility to see Dr. Pandraud, I believe the trip is definitely worth it.

Yes, the doctor was a very nice and polite man and he did speak english reasonably well. After I called him, he agreed to see me that same evening. He ended up cleaning my sinuses and even stayed late on a Friday night to do so, which I think is unheard of in US. The important piece of information that is missing is that he charges 100 EUR per visit which explains his fantastic office on Champs-Elyseés and the very chic decor in the waiting room. Having been to another doctor in Paris and having paid 23 EUR per visit there (about the norm), which was a pretty bad experience overall, I can clearly say Dr. Luc's services are not tailored for the average man, based on the clientele I saw in the waiting room. So if you can afford 100 EUR visits, go ahead - enjoy the experience! He is a good doctor and seems to be a nice man. But I thought I'd mention the price tag.
