I did read some negative reviews but was having a hard time finding reasonably priced transmission repair. My quote for replacement was a third of the dealership estimate and half of the next quote. My truck has a lot of miles so I was a little wary and didn't want to throw a lot of money with so many miles. I had a great experience- super nice staff and my truck was in and out in a couple of days for the price quoted. Nothing "hidden" and no surprise upcharges. I was contacted in advance of starting repair and I was told all that was found. It's been a little over a month since the repair and my transmission seems good! Would recommend! read more

Stay Away!!!!!!!!!Do not use this company it took them eight months just to tell me they couldn't fix a transmission not to mention when I finally had my vehicle towed from this property they stole my battery out of the truck I had the way I know this they were driving my vehicle while it was on their property to test drive when I told it to the new shop to actually get the repair made my battery was stolen the owners exact words were even if it was on my property it's your responsibility. Seeing as how it was on their property and in their shop supposedly I'm guessing that that is not what happens at this place so please please watch what you do do not go to this company and use them for anything they will hold on to your vehicle without any communication as to how long how fast when what you cannot expect any communication from this company read more

STAY AWAY!! I would not take your car here, especially a performance car as they claim to know on their website. I took my sports car in with a basic Ford small block 302 and Tremec transmission for a rear main seal, rear bearing seal, oil pan gasket, and flywheel replacement. They not only did not know the basic parts, they did not know how to install them either. They completely over torqued my oil pan then tried to fill in the bent pan with RTV, making the problem worse and and a bad attempt at cover up. They installed the completely wrong flywheel, and lied about calling the engine MFR to verify. The wrong flywheel was then way off balance with engine creating a terrifying vibration over the entire car when driving over 2000 rpms. When I got home they had not even put my battery cover on and the battery connection was loose, luckily did not cause car to stall out on way home. They spent over two weeks with the car, which should have been an 8-10 hour job at best. When I got the car back, my leather shift boot was ripped out, the jack nuts where it was anchored were torn out as well, there was greasy muck all over my car and something on the side window winglets I could not get out. I paid them over $2100 for their service, upon calling them to raise the issue, they asked for me to bring the car back for them to look at it again. I told them I was not comfortable with that out of fear of further damage to the car. I asked for only the cost of the wrong parts to be refunded and I would return them once replaced by another shop. This was less than half what I paid them. I have now taken to another shop and it will cost me almost $3000 to fix all they damaged. I will be filing a suit against this company, but their nature has shown they will likely change names and keep ripping people off. Likely why there are no other reviews here. I understand they also have a shop in Tyler if you are in East Texas area. read more

I can't say enough good things about this transmission shop! From start to finish, they were honest, professional, knowledgeable, and treated me with respect. They took the time to explain everything, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood what was going on with my vehicle. It's hard to find a mechanic you can truly trust, but I'm so glad I found them. The work was done right, the communication was great, and I never felt like I was being taken advantage of. If i could give 100 stars I would. Im a shop owner in springtown tx and drive almost 2 hrs away to take my transmission to David. Trust is number 1 David doesn't cut corns and does it right and the number one thing that keeps me coming back is because I have to have good quality work for my customers vehicles out of the 8 years ive been dealing with David ive had 2 that have gave me a little trouble but ill tell u this David stands behind his warranty ive had one of those go out a month after warranty was up and David still fixed it. There is no were in this world that will do that. Thank u again David for your honest and hard work u put in these builds. read more

I lost 3&4 gear on my transmission and Paul's transmission shop got me back on the road in no time. They gave me a great price and did an outstanding job. I'm not easy on my truck at all. I haul heavy loads and I definitely don't have a light foot. My transmission still shifts great til this day. If you have any transmission issues i definitely recommend them to get your car or truck back on the road. You won't be disappointed. read more

Brought my 4l80e to them for a c10 build I was doing. They went through it and did a complete rebuild on it, which he said would cost more than I was expecting. But after getting it back, it's been getting the crap beat out of it for 2 years now and never skips a beat. These guys know what they're doing and it definitely pays to get what you pay for in this case! read more

THEYRE SCAMMERS ONLY WORK W PEOPLE THAT THEY WANT TO WORK WITH, Horrible shop horrible service highly would advise no to go there would just be a waste of money time please do your self a favor and do research on a good shop other than this pos shop, you'd be better off trying to build your own transmission read more
