After some specific online research, I decided to text F & K Martins Pavers on Friday, June 7th, 2024. Kristen responded back the next day, (on a Saturday!), and we scheduled a site visit for a consult and quote. After my surprise of being contacted back on a Saturday, it signaled what would later prove to be one of F & K Martins 3 main strengths; "Communication." For such a small job, Kristen spent a lot of time on site and via text, assessing and discussing my paver replacement issue with me, and came up with a cost-effective problem resolution. Since our experience so far with F & K Martins was much better than we ever expected, my wife and I decided to inquire about another project we've talked about for some time. We wanted to create an easy access pavered pathway from our rear entry gate concrete pad, through a landscaped shrubbery bed and terminate at the upper pool deck area. Kristen returned a few more times and came up with a design and some modifications to my original plan, which made more sense. Each visit by Kristen, including the scheduled installation date and time of both projects by Fabio, (her husband), and his crew, was on time as promised. So, the second of 3 F & K Martins strengths; "Punctuality." The replacement pavers and color match chosen were an alternative choice, because our original paver product was no longer available. The professional repair process used for installing the new alternative pavers was done in such a way as to mitigate the appearance of them being replacements. The paver pathway project was the more time consuming of the two. Fabio and his crew worked hard to remove grass and soil to prepare the proper grade and pitch for installation of the baselayer from the rear gate concrete pad to the upper pool deck surface. The crew remained fully utilized and focused on creating a properly constructed paver pathway, with a paver design pattern that is pleasing to the eye, and with solid workmanship quality results, which is the third F & K Martins strength, "Quality." Finally, two coats of Seal 'n Lock water based sealer were applied to the paver pathway, along with final site cleanup. My wife and I thank Kristen, Fabio and the crew for the two jobs they performed for us, and for creating future quality concrete paver project experiences that other homeowners will enjoy for years to come

He was also very punctual and provided clear timeline/expectation of the work. From the beginning, we knew we picked the right company. During the process, I asked Stephen several questions regarding overall design, logistics, and timing. All of which he would answer within minutes at any hour of the day. He sent over new paver/concrete dimension the same day we met him, adjusted design within a few days and had pavers ordered right away. The pavers were delivered from Gem Pavers in 4 weeks and his team was hard at work within a few days of delivery. He is present throughout the process and made sure work was done correctly. His team was also very nice, professional, and worked really hard to deliver my driveway. Everything worked like clockwork and came out so beautiful. When there was an issue with my existing concrete near my door frame, Stephen had his team out within an hour to fix it. I have gotten so many compliments on the pavers and it wouldn't have been possible without All Day Pavers. I can't say enough great things about our experience. Then on a Saturday morning they would randomly call wanting to come over when I had company. It went on for three weeks before I finally had a company that does nothing but sealing do it. Also, the pavers are sinking, are uneven and have caused a tripping hazard. That has nothing to do with sealing. The flagpole would not stay up in any weather. the four pieces would fall in on themselves, so I was left with one three foot flagpole. Multiple people tried to fix it. I finally just pulled it out of the ground with one hand. I do appreciate you getting in touch and trying to fix this, but with such a history of so many things being done wrong, done poorly, or not done, it seems foolish to continue - I simply have no confidence it would ever be done right, so I will take responsibility for fixing it.

I met Yusniel with Cricket Pavers in December 2024. He promised to turn my dreams into a reality…read moreand my backyard into a paradise. The project cost was $90,000 for a pool remodel, jacuzzi addition and deck.  Contract signed in March 2025. The never gave me a rendering of the project despite multiple requests.  They began work in April 2025. The company did not obtain any permits for the project. They told me permits weren't needed for a simple remodel and if I opt for no permits the job will take 3 months; with permits 6 months and I may get in trouble with the county if my shed isn't permitted. They assured me they do all work according to county code. The company did not properly secure the work area and my 14 year old deaf bulldog fell in the pool, broke her hip, and had to be euthanized. Yusniel told me "oh we could have put a safety fence around the pool." They never secured the area for safety; the county mandated I do it in 72hrs or be fined. They don't listen to the recommendations of the specialists they subcontract. They don't even listen to what the customer wants. They tried to give me cheaper pool equipment than what was promised, cheaper plaster for the pool, and hope the customer is dumb enough to not notice. Yusniel blatantly lied to me about what we agreed on and when I called him out he stated "well the work is already done." He said he was going to remove just the screen on my patio and when I walked outside my entire screened in patio was destroyed. DESTROYED!  They he messaged me to tell me all the materials of the aluminum patio were rotted. I have video of their guy ripping it apart and kicking it out in less than an hour... of course now everything is bad.  I believe his plan from the beginning was to destroy my screened in patio and force me to put in a new pergola with them. In September I finally contacted the owner of Cricket Pavers, Ariel, since I couldn't work with Yusniel anymore.  He is a nice guy who will swindle you with a smile. Ariel tried to rectify the situation but there was no plan on his end, and apparently no money (where did my $54k go?). He agreed to replace my screened in patio if I paid for the materials, even though I emailed them I wouldn't pay for anything, I agreed as this was a mess and I just wanted my backyard back. He tried to blame everything on his plumber and then brought in a new pool guy named Carlos, who I didn't trust and who didn't speak English. Ariel built a new sun shelf on the other side of the pool claiming to "give me the party pool I wanted!" At my age who the heck wants a party pool??? I told him I want a pool I can relax in and swim in. So then he agreed to build it out to give me what was promised from the beginning. Unfortunately the project was so far beyond fixing, Ariel gave me 2 options... keep going and build out as agreed and my pool will crack in 3 years or demolish everything and start fresh. My 3rd option of giving me a refund wasn't an option for him as he claimed to have so much invested in the project and he knew he could give me the yard I was promised. He said with the demo I may have to pay an additional 10k, or 5k or maybe not even anything additional but he was just letting me know. I felt stuck so I agreed to let them demolish and start fresh. Made him sign an addendum to the contract and I refused to let work be done without a rendering. He wanted me to allow his guy Carlos to come and "just do his thing" to not delay anymore. I wouldn't allow it. I demanded at least a rendering so we're all on the same page. A week later on 11/21/2025 he said a rendering may be done that day or by the next week, I then sent him a picture of an overflow spa I would like done. Ariel said it would be 8k more. I told him I felt like that was something they should give me considering all I have endured. He said he is "giving me a new pool and not doing patch work." So now I should be grateful for him! I was not happy with his response and I let him know and he then stated "he tried to be a gentleman by agreeing to build me a brand new pool" claimed "this approach will not work with me" and then stated he isn't "comfortable working with me any longer." Ariel stated I "am holding on to the past which is behind us and not moving towards the future." He previously claimed my pavers were paid for and are sitting in an air conditioned warehouse. He refused to deliver the pavers to my house. I demanded my pavers and a breakdown the $54k I paid and he said he isn't delivering the pavers and I would have the breakdown it by the next week. Never received anything! On 12/1/25 I received a call from the plumber they fired and still owed $5k to telling me they contacted him to give them a $25,000 inflated invoice for work done at my property. At that point I called all the news stations, reported them to DPBR and Miami-Dade county. He refuses to give me money back and has NO INTEGRITY. BEWARE!

Due to the scope of the project my pool needed to be drained, and after pavers and coping were installed, pool needed to be acid washed, filled and water balanced.
