The place was packed with locals coming to have lunch, so hostess told us that there won't be a table available soon. We were so disappointed, because we were hungry and kinda liked this place. We asked again, and the owner kindly suggested to wait for a couple of minutes to see if they can rearrange one of the tables, so we can sit.
We had an amazing dining experience in Trattoria Leoncino Rosso. My friend and I both tried tortelli di zucca which is speciality of Mantua, and we just loved it. I would say what we ordered is a very delicate pasta to prepare, and one should be expert to make it just right! This type of tortelli is a bit sweet (because it has pumpkin inside) but this sweetness isn't too much.
The service was also very friendly and hassle free, and the environment was very cozy too. This place is a family restaurant and perhaps running for generations. We saw many interesting pictures on the wall, which I think were quite old and belonged to the prior generations. At the end, we were glad that we discover this wonderful restaurant and would love to go back here soon!
