I went for a dental cleaning but received two and a half hours of X-rays and a short dental review only to be told I had to reschedule for another day!!!! As they kept taking pictures and X-rays I asked over and over again if it was covered or was it extra. I was told I would only have to pay my deductible. However, today I received a bill for my deductible and over a hundred dollars more for the X-rays and photos that they decided they wanted and lied and said were covered. **Absolutely Horrendous Experience - Avoid at All Costs!** I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. This is hands down the worst dental practice I've ever encountered. Where do I even begin? First of all, the front desk staff is *completely* incompetent, the guy in the front seemed lost didn't know how to explain himself. They messed up my appointment TWICE and had the audacity to act like it was *my* fault. The wait times are ridiculous; I sat in the room for over an hour, before the dentist even came in to start, while the tech apologized multiple times properly because its her job, only to be rushed through my appointment as if they were doing me a favor. Staffed seems over work and not appreciated all running trying to accommodate patient and advising dentist they are ready with their patient and still having to wait! The dentist herself was unprofessional and very careless. She barely made eye contact, didn't bother explaining anything about the procedure, and was extremely rough. The tech in the room seemed to be Dentist knowing everything and explaining the procedure which I would expect it coming from a dentist not their tech! I've had dentist before but this felt more like some medieval torture session. My gums were bleeding profusely, and she didn't even apologize or offer any explanation--just walked out without saying a word. To make matters worse, the equipment looked ancient, the handle of the tray had blood smear!!! Are they even sterilizing their tools properly? It's beyond disgusting. I honestly felt like I might catch some sort of infection just sitting in that chair. As if the experience wasn't already a nightmare, they tried to overcharge me for things that I never agreed to. Jan 2nd 2024- Dr. Danielle Jones insisted I get a crown on tooth #18. I wasn't having any pain in that tooth. I paid $544 & my insurance paid $544. I immediately started having pain following the procedure. I contacted Pavilion Crossing several times in Jan, Feb & Mar 2024 and was told that the crown needed to 'settle' by a clerk. Meanwhile I'm having extreme pain in my lower jaw, tooth, and left ear. Apr 24th 2024- I went to see a different dentist, Dr Caitlin Wild at Summerfiled Crossing Dentist. She took xrays and did an exam. She stated that I 'had an open margin on the mesial side of tooth #18'. The crown was not sealed properly resulting in food and bacteria building up under the crown. Dr. Wild stated that I would need a replacement crown or root canal. May 1st 2024- I was finally given an appointment at Pavilion which resulted in me finding out that Dr. Jones no longer works at Pavilion Crossing and Dr. Rama Sharour stating that she refused to touch the tooth. Office manager Jessica C. stated that I would be refunded $544 & my insurance would be refunded $544. May 1st 2024- Back to Dr. Wild. She gave me a referral to Dr. David Kellogg of Kellogg Endodontics to make sure I didn't need a root canal. May 9th 2024- X-rays and tests with Dr. Kellogg resulted in a root canal, $749. The pain finally subsided and Dr. Kellogg is fantastic but purse is getting lighter. June 17th 2024- Clerk from Pavilion Crossing Dental calls me in to sign a 'release' stating that they are not liable for any work done on tooth #18 and I am forbidden from discussing the incident any further. I must sign this in order to get my refund. I didn't sign the document. I've already been talking to my insurance and the BBB & FL dental licensing. June 25th 2024- I will be going back to Dr. Wild for a permanent crown, $1,100 out of pocket since I already claimed one crown (negliget work) on tooth #18. I really wanted to like this office. It's clean, the equipment is new and I like my dentist. But, between appointments being canceled, myTemporary crown falling off her and random unknown charges, I won't be back. I had a temporary crown put on, and it fell off in four days. I had to get another dentist to reattach it. I had scheduled the cleaning six months in advance and received a call two weeks before the appointment to confirm. I had thought that this was the only confirmation that was needed, so I didn't think about having to call back the office to reconfirm the appointment again. This was unfortunately not correct and my appointment for my cleaning was canceled. I showed up to my appointment and waited for 30 minutes. It was only after I asked that I was told that my appointment had been canceled. Luckily I was able to get another appointment the same day at another office. I had paid for my crown on my last appointment, and have just been told that there is a mysterious $27 charge on my account. No one knows why it's there, but you can be sure that I will not be inclined to pay it. I have already paid everything. read more

Five stars for the amazing hygienist that worked with me for over an hour and explained every part of the process to me. This dentist office has all the TOP of line equipment and very nice look and feel. I had to sign an agreement to pay $35.00 for additional services (?), I was under the impression that routine cleanings were covered by insurance but apparently the dentist has found ways to charge you for additional services not covered and then they added an additional item for $42 for a total of $72. I kept telling the hygienist that all the fancy equipment has a cost associated with it and the only way they're going to pay for them is to pass on the cost to their clients. Their response was "Oh no we don't do that!! " I had a cleaning from another dentist roughly 10 years ago similar to this one (FANCY tools because most likely they could not do their job without them). The reason why I mention it is because of the following. The dentist 10 years ago tried telling me I needed all types of work to be done (not the same work). I didn't go back to this dentist and since then I have seen four different dentists since I travel 65% of the time. All four of those dentists had one thing in common. NO FANCY equipment. Down to earth dentists did well in school, NO SCAMS, no false billing, and they provided ONLY the services needed. Pavilion Crossing Dental - After many X-rays and my cleaning, then I had to wait quite a while for the dentist. The dentist looked at my tooth for about 3 minutes and said I needed numerous crowns, also needed to replace most of my fillings, and needed Invisalign for my teeth before he could do other work on my teeth. The starting "treatment plan" for two crowns and two fillings was around $1000 worth of work, the Invisalign was $4,600 after insurance. I assume the next three or four treatment plans would be around $5,000 out of pocket. I feel like this office is really trying to get as much money as possible from their customers, I definitely felt like a walking dollar sign. What ever happened to HONEST service. Hi, I lost a filling and needed to get into a dental office pronto. New patient availability to dental offices I called were 2 months out for a new patient. Pavilion Crossing Dental Care took me right in on a limited emergency visit that day. I need a possible root canal and crown. Dr. Storm was very compassionate, made me feel like a long time friend. Explained everything thoroughly. He then scheduled me for later in the day to do the work I needed performed. I appreciated his honesty and integrity. He saved the tooth and actually told me that a root canal was not needed once he got in and removed the damaged areas of the tooth. The staff is very friendly and take their time with you. I didn't feel like just another "number." I was treated with kindness, courtesy and professionalism. A rare find these days! I highly recommend their practice. I told this dentist that my insurance covers 2 cleaning and one set of X-rays per year. This is just a basic cleaning that is covered. I went to get my cleaning, again, telling them to do just a basic cleaning. They stated that my teeth are in excellent condition and the basic is all they'd be doing. Well, when I received the insurance claim this dentist put in, it was for much more than a basic cleaning! $220 more to be exact. Clearly this dentist has some seriously bad business practices. They tell you one thing, and do another! If you're not a dental expert, you're none the wiser, until you get the bill! If you do not have good dental coverage, DO NOT go here! WISDOM TOOTH COMPLICATIONS NO SOLUTIONS FROM THIS OFFICE - They recommended having all four of my wisdom tooth remove. Dr. Storm (who is not an oral surgeon!) performed the procedure and while the procedure was OK, the follow-up was AWFUL. Following the procedure I remained in pain for over a week which is not normal for a wisdom tooth removal. I called multiple times and the front desk was not helpful they said they only had availability in over a week! They couldn't even try to fit me in for a quick check up! They really did not seemed to care that I was in pain after a procedure. I asked to speak to the doctor, Dr. Storm, and he never returned my calls. I finally had it and demanded to be seen right away... At this point I have been in pain for almost two weeks! When they finally saw me they said nothing was wrong and what I was feeling was numbness from the nerve being exposed during the procedure (which is a normal complication). Well I know what I felt and it was not numbness! So I went for a second opinion. The second doctor saw me that day (something Pavilion should have done) and immediately said something was wrong (btw this took less than 5 min to check). He then schedule an appointment with an oral surgeon. The surgeon again notice something wrong and after a CT scan saw that I had debris in the socket and needed a second surgery. This is actually a common complication, but Pavilion Crossing totally missed it and I could have ended up with a nasty infection! After the second surgery I was in pain for two days and that was it! Pain free after a month of being in pain and thinking I was crazy! The surgeon that performed the second procedure called me multiple times and did a follow up visit within a week of my procedure. That's what Pavilion Crossing should have done! I submitted a survey to Pavilion explaining what happened and they never even read it (it was confirmed when they called to schedule another cleaning) so I decided to write this review. Pavilion Crossing will only follow up if its in their interest not in the patients best interest. They seem to be very corporate only care about profit. I don't like writing bad review but this was an awful experience and I do not wish anyone feel like they are in left in pain for no reason. I urge you not to visit this dentist. read more

WORST DENTIST OFFICE EVER! I don't understand how such nice people clearly don't know how to do financial math. How can a customer overpay for a service and still have and outstanding balance for that service? After I received multiple request to pay the outstanding balance, I reported them to my insurance company. My insurance opened a claim and investigation and came to the conclusion based on my copy of receipts from my initial payment (the dentist provided), what was initially billed to the insurance, and what the insurance paid that I overpaid for the service and they owed me a credit and that they should stop sending outstanding balance bills. The business continued to bill me and then sent the bill to collections for more than amount than previously requested. I have made several attempts to resolve this issue with staff on the phone and none of them can explain to me where the outstanding balance is from that makes logical sense. Save the headache and go to a dentist that is honest and can do math! DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

I moved to Tampa and my old dentist is a 45 minute drive now, so I decided to try Pavilion, Dr. Briggs, as a new patient, just for a routine cleaning. I haven't had a cavity in 30 years and have excellent oral health. Needless to say, I will NEVER return to Pavilion. It was a two hour sales pitch of everything from Invis-Align to sealants on each one of my teeth. I was EXTREMELY uncomfortable with the high pressure and ended up walking out after two hours and a subpar cleaning. I will return to my old dentist and make the drive. read more

I wish I could recommend this place higher because it is clean, has free coffee tea and water in the lobby, new facilities, and friendly staff. I love Dr Briggs as well. But a disrespect for your patients' time at more than one appointment causes this review. My single premolar root canal took 3.5 hours. I waited much later than my appointment time and I had someone waiting for me and I felt so bad for them. I was told 2 hours max. I also waited half an hour to be taken back. They kept stopping and starting on me to go tend to other patients. I am now back for a follow up crown and I have waited an hour past my time to even go back. If you are running behind at least inform me when I check in (on time). Just like you, we all have other appointments and places to be. I cancelled the other scheduled work. The temporary crown did stay in place well while I waited for the porcelain one to come in. The cleaning I had done was done well and had a friendly technician. I have a busy life too and constantly running behind tells of inefficiency. Don't schedule appointments on top and so close to each other. I was under the impression that routine cleanings were covered by insurance but apparently they do "oral cancer screenings" for every patient once per year that is not covered by insurance and I was essentially forced into paying for a fluoride application. I honestly feel that that was a scam but paid the $55 anyways. After many X-rays, I was told it may not be possible to do my cleaning based on my gums. After the gum exam, I was told I was in luck and that I would be able to receive a cleaning. I'm not sure how I booked an appointment for a routine cleaning and somehow would walk out without a cleaning. My cleaning went fine and then I had to wait quite a while for the dentist. The dentist looked at my tooth for about two seconds and said I'd need a crown with build-up without really explaining how that would work. I also need four fillings. I received my "treatment plan" with over $1500 worth of work. The crown was going to cost about $800. When I called back to schedule my fillings the next day, they advised me to have the crown done first. I feel like this office was really trying to get as much money as possible while still providing great care. I was in the office for an hour and a half and while I received excellent service from the hygienist and the front office staff, I definitely felt like a walking dollar sign. read more

I have been a long time patient and drive 30+ minutes from my home to get to this office. Two days ago I was flossing and my crown in the top right of my mouth came out. Obviously this is an issue as I could not eat properly and I have Invisalign so I could not wear my trays. Also leaving a space in my mouth could cause my teeth to shift and close in on the area. I called explaining that I need to be seen so that this could be fixed ASAP. The women I spoke to had zero empathy, told me it was not an emergency, refused to see me and stated that they could not see me until May 19th. In the meantime, she told me to either put toothpaste in my crown and put it back in my mouth (wtf) or purchase temporary cement/paste. I explained that having me do at home dentistry and use cement purchased from Walmart would cost me more time and money than getting it fixed by a professional. I didn't even say anything about the toothpaste comment because it was so utterly stupid. I 100% felt like they did not have my best interest at heart. Which is sad bc it's a literal dentist office. I called another dentist and was treated so well and had an appointment scheduled in minutes. I've always wondered why this office got bad reviews and now I realize it's due to the horrible service. Upon arrival I noted the office was nice and clean, however the lady at the front desk was very curt, rude and condescending while trying to tell me what they MUST do to my daughter even though I explained to her that it had just recently been done 2 months ago and I would supply her with what was needed.
