We needed our old driveway replaced. It was cracked and deteriorating. We called Paving Solutions and the owner, Peter, gave us an estimate over the phone. He later came out to see the driveway. In just days his crew was out to start the job. The crew was very professional and respectful of both us and our property. The crew cleaned up any mess that was left behind, including any debris on the road. The drive way is beautiful. To be honest, we didn't call any other place for a price comparison. We were happy that they were able to come out so soon and finish the work in one day. I definitely recommend Paving Solutions. read more

Do not consider using this company. Peter is a Fraud and does not stick to his contract or word. His crew came and did the work on a timely manner at a good price. The quality of the work was terrible. Our driveway is less than a year old and is already chipping and is uneven. He came out and looked at it and wanted to charge me more to fix his mistakes. He pulled a $100 bill out of his pocket and asked if this would fix the problem and I laughed. He said his office would send a check to me as a refund and has yet to do so. He now ignores my calls and text messages. I am looking into legal action against his contract that was given to me. read more

HOMEOWNERS BEWARE of Paving Solutions. I requested quotes from multiple companies on Home Advisor. Paving solution was the only one to respond. By no means is Home Advisor responsible for anything that has happened. We hired this company not knowing much about the ins/outs of paving a driveway, cost, correct temperature to asphalt, etc. Thought we had professionals, my bad. They came out ripped old driveway up on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. Wednesday they returned and installed the asphalt. At first everything seemed to be good and I made the mistake of paying in full before completion. My bad again! Long story short, they left the driveway a complete disaster so I had the so-called owner come back and he assured us this would all be resolved. Later that night we started having a toilet backup in our basement and I really didn't think much of it until the net day when the sewer started backing up in our laundry. When I went out to the main sewer line in driveway, we found that they let asphalt into the pipe. I now have a plumber coming out to dig the driveway out and replace the damage on March 9. We have been without the use of our bathrooms and to top it off, I have a son who has Crohn's. Spoke to the owner and started getting the run around regarding the plumbers quote and he said he was sending a plumber out. We are still waiting! I have requested his insurance policy and he is now ignoring my text messages. At this point I have no alternative but to tell the story WARNING others and to start legal action, which I will win but will still be out money/damages. Folks don't be taken like I was and be sure to RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH. Having a HIC License means absolutely nothing. I failed this project and now my family is paying for it in more ways than one. This business by all means!!!!...They are a father/son business that uses Clinton township road equipment, so they show up after 5... you call them fir an estimate, the son, Anthony.. shows up first and bids real high... the father Pete Mitchell then comes back and "lowers" the estimate..Job is very haphazard and when they leave, you Will not see them again, they promised to seal my driveway, but I guess Clinton road dept. do not seal their highways, so they have no sealer.. It's a shame that we ever got this business, because their are a lot better companies that do what they promise and stand by their work Paving Solutions, Pete Mitchell and son Anthony can care less about customers.... DO NOT HIRE PAVING SOLUTIONS. if you're in need of an asphalt company, DO NOT hire Paving Solutions. I recently hired them to do my driveway. They trashed up my yard, left asphalt debris everywhere, did a shoddy job with the vent/drain pipe and refused to come back and make things right. They were dishonest in telling me they'd stop by "to make things right" and they never showed up and wouldn't answer my calls or texts. They borrowed a neighbor's tool and never returned it and I saw them throwing asphalt down the sewer. This is sent with good intent. I wouldn't wish this kind of experience on anyone. I am not posting a negative review to shed a bad light on paving solutions. If you do your research you will find plenty of them. I'm writing this negative review to warn other hard working individuals like myself. I feel grossly taken advantage of by this company. This is my story. While doing work in our neighborhood paving solutions stopped at my home and asked if I would be interested in having my driveway paved. After they gave me a price, I decided that I was not able to afford to have my driveway paved. The following day I was approached again by the supervisor who told me his crew would be finishing up paving the neighbors driveway around noon and he hates to send them home early and he always tries to get them a full day of work everyday. He went on to ask me, since I couldn't afford to get my driveway paved, would i'd be interested in having my entire driveway graded and rolled to make it smoother. I asked the supervisor how much that would cost. The supervisor told me that it cost him $3000 for a full days work for his crew and that he could grade and roll my driveway for $1500 because that would give them a full day of work. After a lengthy discussion I agreed to the $1500 to have my driveway graded and rolled. In my mind the crew was going to get the rest of their full day of work in meaning approximately four hours of work in my driveway. I wrote a check for $1500 and at 1pm they started to grade my driveway. At approximately 2:15 PM I went outside to check on the progress they were making on my driveway. To my astonishment they had finished, load up their equipment and we're gone. I got approximately 75 minutes of work for $1500 and I can honestly say that I don't see much of a difference. I am extremely disappointed and I would never use this company again and I would never recommend this company to anybody. If a full day of work is $3000 then that would be just under $400 an hour therefore I think I should've paid $400 at the most. It's paving solutions were a standup company, they would contact me and give me back $1100 of my money but according to so many other reviews the complaints fall on deaf ears. read more
