We brought our dogs for a couple nights stay. The boarding experience was great. They got baths, and we were under the impression that everything went well with their stay & baths. However, when we got home from picking them up, we noticed one of our dogs was struggling to breathe. At this time I'd like to make it clear that my issue is with the bather or whomever put Cooper's collar back on him, the receptionists were great and we didn't have to wait very long for our pups to come out. We had been home for about 10 minutes, and our other 2 dogs were acting fine after drinking some water, heavy breathing had stopped with them, but not Cooper. We then noticed that he looked like he was trying to throw up, so we went outside with him. After getting close to him to try to calm him down, we realized his chain collar was on way too tight, he couldn't breathe and his face/eyes were turning red. Calling Pawlins to see how they put the collar on & what they suggested we should do was of absolutely zero help. The person I spoke to did show some concern but not nearly enough for the situation we were in. My mother had to go to buy bolt cutters for us to cut the collar off. Our dogs will not be returning to Pawlins. Especially not for a bath. read more

Amazing facility to send your dogs to day care! We sent our 4 month old puppy here for two days in a row of day care while we were moving. They were really accommodating and made it a personalized experience for us and our puppy Rex. They have cameras that show each play area so you can check on your pup whenever you want and they even have add on treats like puppy ice cream, peanut butter filled Kong's, etc that you can add for a small price for your visit. Another really awesome deal is $20 for 2020 a full day of daycare on the weekends is only $20! They also give you a report card after each visit which is a super fun and cute thing. They also offer boarding, grooming, and a few other services. I definitely recommend checking out their website and seeing how they can accommodate your pets needs. Couldn't recommend Pawlins enough! My dogs love going there, and I love when they go since it gets so much of their energy out!

My pup just spent 5 days and 4 nights at this resort. What I loved most about this facility, was everything. I loved being able to book a royal suite, that had a webcam in her room, allowing me to check on her whenever I wanted to. I also used the menu to change up different treats for my pupper each day. My favorite part of it all, was the daily report cards. The employees take their time to capture amazing pictures of your pup having fun with their furpals as well as writing cute notes describing your pups day. This place is top notch, my little girl had a blast and I hope we get to go back again when in town. read more

We took Oreo to Pawlins for the first time yesterday. Oreo had been to other daycares in the past, but since we've made the move to Metairie, we switched to Pawlins. I was a little anxious dropping my baby off for daycare, since she has a bit of social anxiety and hasn't had much interaction with other dogs during quarantine. They took great care of my pup. When we picked her up, they gave us a report card telling us which dogs she played with, who was the attendant in charge, and little details like "a little shy but super sweet." I have never seen that much attention to detail anywhere that I have ever boarded Oreo. Oreo also wears a Whistle motion trackers so we can make sure she gets enough exercise for the high energy bread she is (part boarder collie/part cattle dog/part who knows what), while also making sure she doesn't lick her hot spot on her arm. Oreo doubled her 70 minute exercise goal while at Pawlins! She came home exhausted and happy. We highly recommend Pawlins and will definitely be taking Oreo back! read more

We found Pawlins during corona, and we've had an amazing experience. We've never waited long at the pick up and drop off drive through circle. The cameras are sharp, so it's easy to spot our wild goldendoodle Otis having a blast at camp. There's always a person or two around monitoring. Seems like there's ton of outdoor space and pools, which our pup loves. Plus, they separate dogs by energy type and temperament. We even started having Andre at Pawlins groom Otis and he does an excellent job. The only drawback for us personally is we don't live nearby. But it's worth the 20 minute drive! read more

Interesting "let's play office" place. We made appointments here for 3 of our dogs to be groomed, and a couple of their vaccines needed to be updated (bordetella and leptospirosis). Even though a required leptospirosis vaccine is questionable -- do they have rats running around in their facilities? -- we were happy to oblige by updating our pet's' vaccines that were 2 weeks out of date. We submitted all the vaccine records and paperwork only to be told one of the fecal tests had also expired, and this is where I lost interest in even trying to work with a place like this. To require a fecal test or to believe that a result on a fecal exam is valid for a year makes me wonder what other kind of policies and procedures they might practice that aren't founded in any kind of science. "That's just our policy, sir" is the only line that could be fed when asked. Of course, I understand places have policies and I can choose to patronize a place or not (I will not go here), but when things are clearly performative and seem geared to make you just spend more money (yes, I noted the offer of having the fecal test done on-site) I will put my energy into finding a better place to take my dogs. The biggest issue with this is who has time to run around and do all of this? Also, to even blindly believe that a dog that comes into your facilities is "parasite-free" because they have a fecal test result within the past year is dangerous. Any of those pets could easily have parasites that were picked up within a year. Fecal tests are not like vaccines. And I will choose to not be a robotic customer who jumps for performative box checkers. read more

This place is an absolute joke. Do not board or send your animals here if you would like them to be taken care of at all. Every person I spoke with who had sent their dog here, said they return with kennel cough. Additionally, I spoke to 3 different people who currently work there, and not one of them told me they do not accept unfixed dogs. Each worker assured me they do in fact accept unfixed dogs. When I filled out the paperwork, I even noted that one was unfixed, and Pawlins accepted my reservation . Pawlins accepted the reservation, and a few days later I called to ask if the dogs could come early for a "get acquainted day" , and I set up the day and all after speaking with yet ANOTHER Pawlins employee who assured me they take unfixed dogs. A few hours later, I got a voicemail telling me Pawlins DOES NOT accept unfixed dogs. Mind blown. They did not care and were not empathetic at all with their mistake. I am so glad I called ahead of time before we were heading out of town and Pawlins would have turned us away at the door. I am unsure if the people I spoke with on the phone even worked there. read more

Just took my pet here for a nail clip, been here half dozens times before, this time service was refused because they could not find him in computer and were not willing to set up new profile/call his vet. I was told to go online and set up his profile before bringing him back. Won't be a problem as I will not be bringing him back nor recommending. read more

We love Pawlins!! The entire staff is friendly and experienced. My dog is always eager to go to "school". He's never anxious when I hand over the leash, and I know he safe in their hands. The online reservation system is extremely easy to use and super convenient. And the available drop off and pick up hours work perfect for those who work long days or fluctuating schedules! There are lots of days I have to leave my dog for a full 12 hours. They give the dogs necessary breaks between play and prevent them from getting overstimulated or too rowdy, which on a super long day I really appreciate. clean, the staff keep at it all day and it shows. If you want the best in doggy daycare I cannot recommend Pawlins enough. read more

I did not realize that Evan the groomer who did my dog Zuri cut a lot of her tail off. zuri does not have a fluffy tail like her brother Simba. Ashley who did Simba did an excellent job. Zuri went on Friday Sept 16, I'm still waiting on him to call to let me know how Zuri did with her bath and etc. I'm still waiting on the text that says Zuri is ready for pickup. I will be going back, but I want Ashley or Andrae to be Zuri groomer. I'm sorry I tipped Evan. He will never groom my dog again. read more

Dropped my dog off for 4 days of boarding on 7/29. Dog came back with raging fever and shivers all night. Never received a call about Fever, no one noticed the dog had lethargy and would barely wanted to move. A sleepless night later, $208 of boarding fees and another $60 of vet fees = Royalty disappointed no one noticed and cared for my dog better. Will use personal sitters from here out for the same price. They also gave me someone else's leash, at least they came to my house to exchange. read more

Full disclosure, the facility is beautiful with wonderful amenities & our groomer, Andre, was wonderful. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were told that our dogs require the flu vaccine + booster, which as of 9/16/19 was neither disclosed on their website's service agreement or FAQ's. "...is current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella (dogs only) vaccinations; is in good health and free of fleas and ticks" nor was this told to us via one of the phone conversations we had. Pawlins explained that they could conveniently vaccinate against the Flu for $45 each. I brought this up with the owner, as we would have liked to have known prior and she just stated that they 'told us upon arrival' and the dogs could spend the day they had scheduled (but we obviously had to cancel the camp appointment we made the next day as my personal vet was unavailable. Please consult with your own vet to make the best decision for you and your fur baby. Additionally, although this will most definitely be refuted, our interview day consisted mostly of time spent in a suite as we have one non-aggressive but shy dog. However, we have had no problems in the past with another camp/boarding facility, so their "interview" style simply did not please us. Midday, I had asked to be consulted if my shy dog was going to be put in a suite for any additional length of time, because I would have picked her up, however I was not called. Around 3pm, she was taken out of her suite and was introduced to other dogs. While we appreciate the kind attention of the staff, we simply believe that all vaccine requirements should be disclosed in writing and that their interview process need improvement. We will not be returning. read more
