It was great. Harper loved her. She made everything so easy. The best experience I have had with a pet sitter

Everyone got along fine and we were all set to board our pups when my wife took ill and couldn't make the trip. I went without her and she was home with our dogs. Flash forward to December. We went to Las Vegas for 3 nights and left Tango and Jack with Mike and Beth. Communication was good and Mike sent us emails with photos and even a short video. The dogs are our "babies" and although we missed them very much, it did a lot to ease our minds about the care they were receiving while we were gone. I can highly recommend Mike and Beth of Howling Good Dog Boarding to anyone who needs to board a fuzzy family member. Now that we've found them, we will always leave the care of our dogs to them when we go out of town. Thank you Mike and Beth for taking such good care of our "boys."

Mike was great about sending me video & picture updates while we were on our trip. He's very knowledgeable about dogs, answered all my questions and my dog, Ozzie left happy and worn out! I felt MUCH better about leaving my best buddy in Mike's hands than at a big boarding facility where there's SO many dogs, so much potential for accidents, and not personalized to your dog. Mike is also insured (for peace of mind) and understands that dogs have quirks (mine has food allergies & separation anxiety). I'd give him 10 stars, if I could! We will be back!

When I needed to find a new care giver I was concerned since she had been at the humane society twice, so I wanted the best environment I could find for her. Williamsburg was one place recommended to me. When I visited, I felt very good about the facility and people. The facility was very clean, well organized and staffed. Everyone seemed genuinely interested in the animals under their care. My dog certainly seemed to enjoy her stays (and for a time she was there more than she was at home). She came to know the staff and was always happy to see them. The staff knew her and always treated her so nicely. She was always happy to arrive and just as happy when I came home. While I no longer travel as much, Williamsburg remains the place I trust to take care of my dog. She always seems happy to see the staff and I've been very happy with the service I have received.

The cut is uneven, particularly around her face, which appears choppy and not well blended. Her paws were also not cleaned up to the standard I expected. The areas of greatest concern are her armpit and belly, which were shaved extremely close. Her skin appeared irritated afterward, and there is a small area on her belly that looks consistent with a minor nick from the blade. I spoke with management to address these concerns and am currently requesting a refund based on the result and condition of the grooming. Overall, I am not satisfied with the service provided. If you have a long-haired or double-coated breed, I recommend clearly confirming grooming expectations in advance.

Poor Communication, Inconsistent Service, and Unprofessional Behavior…read more From the very beginning, communication with Dog Doody Defender was off. I was told I didn't need to be present for the service, but the first visit ended with no work done because the technician said he wasn't sure it was my home. I had scheduled service twice a week, but things quickly went downhill. He went on vacation (which he did notify me about), but when he returned, he only did part of my yard and still missed multiple piles of dog waste. On the next visit, although he covered the whole yard, he again left waste behind. The following week, he refused to service my yard at all because one of my dogs was chained up in a fully fenced 8 ft yard. He claimed he was unsure if the dog could get out -- even though there were front and side yards he could have done with no risk or interaction with the dog. But he chose to do nothing. Then came the invoicing issue. I received an invoice clearly marked due July 16 -- this was around June 19 or 20. Despite that, he texted me saying "pay your bill before my next service," which felt pushy and out of line. I double-checked the invoice, and I wasn't wrong -- the due date was in July. I didn't respond right away, and he followed up again, insisting I pay and secure my dogs before his arrival -- even though the bill wasn't due yet. At this point, I told him I felt bullied and explained the timing of when I let my dogs out. I also let him know I had paid. Instead of acknowledging the concern, he abruptly canceled my service without explanation. When I attempted to call him for clarity, he blocked my number. In short, Dog Doody Defender provided spotty service, poor communication, and showed a complete lack of professionalism. If you choose to use them, be prepared to agree with everything they say -- or risk being dropped without warning. I cannot recommend them.
