My husband and I have boarded our two crazy dogs in lots of places across Wisconsin and in other states, and Paws Playtime was one of the best (and we think our dogs enjoyed it, too!). We brought our dogs here for the first time this week for three nights of boarding and three days of daycare while we were near Fond Du Lac for work. First, the staff (or owners?) at Paws Playtime were super helpful and went out of their way in arranging a drop-off time since we were coming from far out of town. The place seemed very clean, and that seems evident in the pictures, as well. When we picked up our dogs after three days and three nights, they were still very clean, too! The indoor rubber floor seems great for their feet, and there is a grassy area outside, which is great. (Our dogs play hard, and one once wore her pads raw at a place that was pavement only, so Paws Playtime has a great set-up.) I called several times during the three days, pretty much being an overly nervous mother, and the person who answered the phone was very patient with me and willing to discuss how my dogs were doing :) When we picked up our dogs, they seemed happy and tired! Lastly, Paws Playtime's prices were very reasonable. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place for their dogs during the day or overnight. read more

I made a reservation over Christmas and confirmed the reservation with the new owner (via email) in early March. Since I noticed a few of my dog's shots were not up to date, I made a veterinary appointment two days prior to my dog's boarding with Chelstars and got his shots up to date. When my wife arrived at Chelstars, three hours before our plane was to leave, the dog was denied entry since the shots happened less than two weeks ago. My wife was told that this rule was posted on the website (a picture of the website is attached). We were successful in having to find an alternative placement in less than an hour. Since I have had a four year relationship with the facility, I called the owner about future boarding. This is when Emi Jo mentioned my wife was swearing at the employees. While my wife was probably frustrated, she does not swear (and almost never loses her temper). My wife also vehemently denies it. I would bet my life on the words of my wife. Granted, I may have sworn and lost my temper, but... I was not there. We will not be returning! I will pay extra money to work with a facility that knows how to tell the truth about a website and doesn't make up fairy tales.

Both of my Golden's go to Chelstars when we are on vacation that the pups can't come on. When we picked up our other golden Rob expressed to us how terrible everyone felt about what happened (no fault of Chelstars, and not preventable) that he excused our entire bill, which was in the tune of almost $400. It's hard to find a business that puts people and their feelings before the almighty dollar, and that spoke to me! We will continue to do business with them! They have always loved on our "kids" and we appreciate it so very much!

My dog is scared of other dogs so I wanted to make sure they didnt do play groups and reached out before booking. They texted me pictures on the kennels to show me that they were private enough with the walls blocked off that my dog would only see another dog if walking in front of her (which she is fine with). The facility is great. When I brought her to drop her off they immediately fell in love with my dog and treated her like their own. They gave me a tour of the place and showed me where she would be staying and the dog run she would be able to run in when out for going potty. I love the staff here. They also let me know I could call during office hours and get an update/pictures if I wanted. They are very reasonably priced. They also offer a 10% Veterans discount. They also offer nail trims, bathing, and Kongs filled with peanut butter for an extra charge during you dogs stay. I am glad I found this place and will use it for all my boarding needs in the future.

We were able to make it to our current vet 10 miles farther. He was starting to turn blue at that point. Our vet was able to get him to clear the food that was obstruction his airway and he was okay. I cannot understand how Companion Animal Care could just turn us away. My former Great Dane was one of their first daycare clients and we referred many current clients.

We even got a written report of his visit, just like at a human hospital! And a nice touch, they engraved his contact info on his rabies tag. Above and beyond care

Not only is he smart and a fast learner, but has a solid, sensible demeanor and stable, balanced temperament. He takes everything in stride and adapts to any situation. He will be certified as a brace and mobility service dog as soon as he is old enough to have his hips and elbows done. He is very healthy with no pano, allergies, or GI issues (that often plague GSD). I highly recommend Gypsy Miracle and Jenny Otto to anyone looking for a German Shepherd!

I've never reviewed a vet clinic before, but here goes…read more.. The building is small, but easy to get to. There's only about 3 exam rooms. Some of the Veterinarians are better than others. Their prices are reasonable. A checkup for my dog is $35 +vaccines, or any medication that's needed. I say that some of the veterinarians are better than others because the vet we initially saw gave us the wrong diagnosis. She did recommend other testing because she 100% positive what was wrong with our pet. When we brought our pet back for follow-up testing, after a week of coping with the much more grim and incorrect diagnosis, we saw a different vet. She was very thorough and knows her stuff. She got answer and then double checked to make sure she was giving us the right answer. Now our pet is on the way to recovering from something that we were initially told would take its life. The staff at the desk is nice. Most of the vet-techs are female, which helps if your pet is shy.

Found a stray 6 month old kitten that…read morewas hit by a car, when we picked her up her limbs were just hanging, it was such a nightmare and we took her to my local vet in Mayville, Dr stevenson at Mayville Clinic said that there was nothing they could do for her as she was in such bad shape the x rays showed torn and ripped tendons two legs were broken with jagged edges and they had been broken for weeks! This poor baby had been dragging herself on one side of her body in 5 below zero weather . He said they did not have the facilities or surgeons she would need. I refused to accept that as she looked so helpless and never even cried out in pain, so sweet and loving rubbing against your hand , and so close to Christmas..Dr Stevenson said he had a friend he had gone to medical school with that was an amazing Doctor with a talent in performing the impossible. So he sent the xrays to Dr Thompson at Country Hills in Eden Wi, Dr Thompson said to Bring her in right away. Dr Thompson not only took on the challenge of putting her back together with pins and wires , such creative Master medical talent , and then another surgery to remove the pins and follow ups etc.... so complicated and so intense, Dr Thompson is a miracle worker.he was so amazing with her and explaining everything that had been done, We kept her and named her Jersey girl and shes doing amazing! I Thank you so much Dr Thompson and everyone at Country Hills! And of course Mayville Animal clinic for always caring and Dr Stevensons continued care for her and life saving recomendation.
