Review update is a must. Payless Kitchen reached out to me offering repair. Manager came to my home and inquired on issues and offered corrective work to start immediately. Backsplash tiles samples were mailed for approval selection. The worker fixed the gap of the countertop without the need of replacement. Worker fixed the wall so that the tiles close the gap. Worker placed about 30 tiles then showed my husband and I how backsplash would look if the tiles are placed together and how they would looked if there is a space for grout around the tiles. Before leaving he ensured that we checked his work. My kitchen looks like a new kitchen this is the satisfaction I was expecting first time around. We started with Payless Bath good but unfortunately it did not end well as issues arose during the process. Incompetent and substandard 3rd party contractors were being sent to do the work. Part of the contract is painting but apparently according to Payless the door is not part of the bathroom (?) and if we want the door of the bathroom painted it will be extra. We protested and it got waived in the interim, this contractor had to correct numerous paint splatters. The contract stated that the glass panel should be 35 inches but the guy who came to measure it twice convinced us to have the panel at 30 inches. When it got installed, the panel was way short, and the water was coming out on the new floor. A replacement back to 35 inches was going to cost us $1200, We agreed to pay half of the cost to be done correctly. We got charged $1200 to install the new vanity we purchased, because we changed up from a standalone sink. The contractor who came to do the painting and install all the fixtures and the new vanity did a sloppy job not only he splatters paint to the new floors, but he did also not install the shower rack and other items in the bathroom. He did not pick up the items he used or the mirror that he removed. We asked the project manager not to send the same guy to correct the items, but she did send the same one a month after. He installed the vanity and the connection but again he did a lousy job come to find out later that the pipes were not properly installed and leaking water underneath. We finally had enough, and we told the project manager we will have our plumber install it correctly and will deduct the cost from our final bill. This project started around October and only concluded at the beginning of February. If you will be going to use them, make sure to read the contract carefully to make sure you will have no surprises, make sure everything is written down. Better yet, find a reputable GC and get it right the first time. We are not recommending in using this company. Update:(3/9/25) After paying the remaining balance of the project and the project manager Cherry agrees to deduct the $305.00 bill from the Plummer to install the pipes of the vanity, and the $30 stop payment fee from the first check they alleged return to us. We received a letter from Sarah demanding we still owed $935.00, Our check has been accepted and cleared as final payment to the project so therefore we do not have owed anything to this company. Be very careful with this company and document everything. I will be posting pictures soon as i am in the process of compiling them. read more

We were looking to update our master bath and I came across this ad providing a discount on bathroom updates/reno so I requested a free design visit. Mitch has done a tremendous job in following up and confirming my appointment. She kept me updated and sent reminders of my appointment. I was a little hesitant that this maybe a scam, but then I received a call from the # I was texting. I missed the call and called back and behold it was a love person. Mitch was well spoken, provided details on what to expect from my design visit. She was very thorough and well communicated. I was at ease. What I appreciated most is that her follow up to send me an email on who will be doing my design visit. I do hope the price is right so that I may go with this company on my projects. I recently had my bathroom remodeled, it's a bathtub to shower conversion and I could say my wife and I are happy with the result. From getting the estimates from Tigran, He was able to "find" me all the discounts that I could get because initially I was a bit surprised of the total cost but he was able to explain the details, and yes, I forgot that I live in California where you can't really compare the prices in the East coast. The project coordinator Aldi John dela Cruz is absolutely amazing, he took the time to thoroughly explain every detail, he went line-by-line on the contract ensuring my wife and I understood the entire process. He was really good on giving me updates whenever there are changes or any issues along the way. Gregory did a good job on the final measurements to get everything ready for the final day--the tear-down and installation. I can not say enough good things about Julio, our installer, and his assistant who completed the job in one day, the original plan promised was 3 days but since they came in early and worked till late. Very professional, knowledgeable and respectful. Julio mentioned that there were past complaints about "California" water pressure of the new shower head---but when I tested it, I could say it's a non-issue. I'll have to wait probably another year or two to renovate my other bathroom, but I guess next time, I don't have to shop around anymore for other choices. read more

Before and during the old kitchen cabinet and countertop demolition they didn't install any dust controlling containment barriers to seal off the kitchen from the rest of the house, so consequently there ended up being a significant layer of dust on everything throughout the family room and living room. He also didn't cover the range top of the stove before demo. The cabinet installers damaged a section of the drywall; I had to have my painter repair. I had to have the cabinet installers back several times to adjust the cabinet doors. I paid extra to have their tile guy clean the kitchen and family room grout; he did a terrible job. The floor looked worse after he finished then it did before. I've had to hire a local firm to do the job correct with the correct equipment at less money than Payless charged. He also left a mess in my backyard including permanently staining the ground cover leaves with the white rinse from his tools. Several days after reinstalling the refrigerator it quit working because of loose wire connections on the new electrical plates they installed. pullout faucet weight on pull out sprayer hose was disposed of during demo so I had to buy a new one and have my plumber install it. While installing he immediately discovered dripping water at back of cabinet while removing the cabinet contents to install the replacement hose weight. He located the source of this leak coming from the hot water supply hose attached to the hot water angles top. This is the hose that's manufactured onto the kitchen faucet and is intended to be tightened two full turns past hand tight as per the manufacturer's installation instructions. This connection was over tightened and as a result the washer was broken into several pieces at the end of the hose. This leak was dripping at a steady rate onto the back section of the cabinet under the angle stop and running through the gap between the cabinet and drywall. There was a visible puddle of water adjacent to the cabinet underneath the dishwasher, sections of the new wood cabinet are and drywall behind cabinet where visibly wet. I had to immediately hire a water damage & restoration firm to mitigate the damage at a cost of $2,800. With their moisture reading instrument they detected high levels of moisture in the bottom wood structure of the sink cabinet, on the floor under the cabinet, under the dishwasher, and the drywall behind the cabinet. They had to drill 5 holes in the kick plate and 3 holes in the drywall to insert hoses from their drying machine. They also set up a fan to dry the floor under the dishwasher and a dehumidifier. They will leave their equipment running for at least 5 days then recheck moisture reading read more
