    Pull out pantry organizer!
    Joe M.

I have been living in Mid-City Los Angeles for over a decade. My 1921 kitchen that was upgraded in the early 1990's desperately needed a kitchen facelift. Tamar A. helped create the kitchen of my dreams. She thought of things I didn't even know I needed ie: pull out pantry and retractable trash cans. She helped take a kitchen in disrepair and turned it into a showcase. We are forever grateful. Will definitely be calling her again.

Payless Kitchen & Bath did an excellent job with our old tub/shower and upgraded to an awesome walk-in shower. We needed to upgrade as our 93 year old mother was struggling to access the traditional tub/shower. Everyone from the sales person to our project manager Janeth were wonderful. The two installers Daniel and Derek were fantastic and paid great attention to details as well as answering all our questions and making the entire demo and install very painless. I would recommend them for any bathroom remodel.

I recently saw Carpet Wagon/Payless Kitchen Cabinets at the 2025 Bridal Fashion Week in Garden Grove, California. There I briefly met Albert who swiftly set me up for an in-home consultation. A few days later, senior design specialist, Andrew came over to take measurements and go over designs and pricing with me. I was pleased with the thorough explanations, the pros and cons, and the transparent pricing. Once I signed the contract, I was set up with a project coordinator and my primary point of contact, Carlos. It was easy to reach Carlos via text and call and by that point it was just a waiting game for my chosen materials to ship. What I like about this company is they make sure two separate individuals come out to take measurements to ensure accuracy. At one point, Danielle came out to take measurements again. When the project is ready to commence, Derick and Daniel also we're great communicators, worked swiftly and started, and finished the project within less than two whole days, and honestly left my place more pristine than they found it. This was my first time doing any kind of bathroom remodel and I definitely will go with them in the future for More bathroom/kitchen remodels.

Living in Long Beach for the last 10 years. Finally decided to do my kitchen! Bassel was a project coordinator and the installers were fabulous. Highly recommend and made everything easy, brought all options to me.

We need two bathrooms remodel and selected the team from Payless for their professional service and great warranty. Victor and his team did an amazing job installing both bathrooms in a short period of time. Victor and his team was very professional and thorough in their process and I would highly recommend requesting their service for any future installation services.

Wow! I'm so happy with how my bathroom remodel turned out, and honestly, the whole process with Payless Kitchen and Baths was pretty smooth and stress-free. But I gotta give a big shout-out to Joseph -- he really made the whole experience so much better. He's just a great guy -- professional but really personable, no nonsense, and knows his stuff. He made designing my dream bathroom easy with his free 3D renderings, so I could really see what it would look like before anything was finalized. Plus, he was upfront about costs and had some really good financing options, which made everything feel straightforward and fair. All in all, the quality of the work was fantastic, and I really felt like I got great value for what I paid. If you're thinking about remodeling your bathroom, I'd definitely recommend working with Joseph -- he's solid, reliable, and really makes the whole process enjoyable.

I chose Payless because they are an established company, not some fly by night online contractor. The customer service is top notch. There was constant communication and updates at every level. The tub to shower conversion took a total of 3 working days, as promised. Contractor was professional. The finished work was flawless and high quality. Even the follow up after the completion of the work was next level. Their work and materials are guaranteed and I am confident that they will be around if I have any concerns. Needless to say, I am very satisfied. Thank you, Payless team!

Would you recommend the lazy susan cabinet and the corner cabinet above?

We did put both of those cabinets in. Upper one is fine but we discovered after installation that the lazy susan in the bottom had lots of leftover space so took it out. We found one that fit better for the space and was solid wood at Home Depot and… Read more

Their pricing was comparable to others, but the ability to visit their in-progress projects gave me confidence. I'm very very particular, and while no remodel is perfect, Creative worked to bring my vision to life. My advice: plan everything in detail beforehand--or hire a designer. To save costs, I handled all the design myself while working full-time, which was highly stressful. Having everything mapped out helps avoid delays, last-minute changes, or compromising on your vision. Golan and Jordan were fantastic--Golan handled planning and communication, and Jordan ensured everything stayed on track. They always responded to my texts in a reasonable amount of time. Their tile crew was exceptional (I often bumped into them because they worked long hours and weekends to complete my home and were really nice and respectful people), and they tiled nearly my entire house beautifully (we're talking 2000 sq ft of flooring, 3 bathrooms, and a fireplace). I appreciated that Creative didn't nickel and dime me for small changes, and when a gas leak was discovered (due to careless cabinetry work), they fixed it--and more (we found more leaks during the repairs)--without extra charges. Despite delays beyond their control, they completed the full renovation in about six months--from pulling permits to final inspection. Major work included a new kitchen, three bathrooms, tile flooring throughout, interior paint, a new electrical panel, and whole-house LED recessed lighting. Even after the job was done, they returned to fix small issues without hesitation. That kind of follow-up is rare in a world full of disappearing contractors. I would recommend Creative for any remodeling project, big or small.

We've interviewed a few home builders, checked out their work and reputation, and eventually decided to go with Gil, Oren, and the whole team of Go Home Builders. Working with the insurance was a pain, luckily Gil had experience working with Allstate insurance before, and he helped us a lot getting the money we needed to rebuild our home. The planning process took a bit longer than what we initially planned for. The county of LA took their sweet time approving our plans. Fortunately, after 2 sets of revisions we were fully approved. The construction wasn't bad at all, they had plenty of guys working on our home at the same time. The only time there was no work, was on inspection days. The finishes was one thing that was extremely important for us. My wife and I are detail oriented and wanted to make sure we're choosing the right company to do the finish work correctly. All I can say is that they exceeded my expectations. Overall the beginning of the process was extremely emotional challenging, but the whole team of Go Home Builders made us feel like we're not alone. My wife and I are very grateful for them. I'd highly recommend.

Go Home Builders did a wonderful job with our primary bathroom remodel. We interviewed multiple…read morecompanies and went with GHB since they seemed the most design-forward and client-friendly of the bunch, and gave us a reasonable quote too. I had a rough vision in mind for fitting a lot into a relatively small space, but wanted to see the options rendered so I could better make the big layout and design decisions. Alexis was very patient and super helpful in mocking up each iteration until we locked in the final design. Once it was time to actually break ground, Gil, Oren, Uriel, and the rest of the team were really responsive and always available by text. Unlike previous contractors we've worked with, they usually gave us an idea of what was happening the next day/week and who to expect onsite. The first ~70% of the project went really smoothly and far exceeded my expectations. Demo, framing, rough plumbing, and electrical all largely went without a hitch. We ran into some problems towards the end around communication, timeline, and subcontractor oversight -- which led to more delays when someone punctured our new in-wall toilet tank and flooded both the bathroom and bedroom. We know every construction job runs into challenges so we weren't bent out of shape by it, and we did appreciate that GHB took full responsibility for fixing the issues. By and large we were really impressed by most of their subcontractors, especially the very professional and considerate plumbing, electrical, and tiling teams! After living with our new bathroom for a while now, we can definitely say it was worth the wait, and such a huge improvement over our previous dysfunctional layout. Thanks to GHB for their great service, amazing attitude, attention to detail, and for bringing the bright, colorful bathroom of my dreams to life!

He is a competent professional and trusted contractor with a solid team of subcontractors who have been doing this work for decades. With this renovation, we brought our 1912 Craftsman bungalow down to the studs. This was a full-gut renovation that involved replacing all mechanicals, drywall, new bathrooms, new kitchen and doing a primary bath addition. With Gary's construction expertise, we were able to restore the home while maintaining its original charm and bring our design to life. Some of Gary's many contributions included framing a new tray/drop ceiling, installing custom window and door casings to match the originals. He also rebuilt the front porch railings and reinforced the porch ceiling so it would accommodate a porch swing. He built our backyard studio shed in just a couple days and it's adorable. While nearly everything is new, you can't tell. And that is a compliment to the quality of craftsmanship. Gary doesn't cut corners and it shows. It is very important that you trust your contractor and that they have integrity and do what they say they are going to do. Experience is also very important. Gary has all of this. We will definitely be calling Gary for the next house we buy. We can't recommend him enough.

The project ran about six months. The short version: we'd hire them again. The longer version: Jacob, the design lead, is the reason we went with them. He has a genuine passion for old buildings and pushed to preserve original details that another contractor would have torn out without a second thought. That instinct matters when you're working on something irreplaceable. Ken managed the project more quietly but kept things moving. And when issues came up after the job was done -- after the final check had been cashed -- Jacob, Ken, and the owner Sage came back and made it right. That's not nothing. That's actually rare. Were there setbacks? Yes. If you've hired contractors in LA, especially on older properties, you know what you're signing up for. New Dawn isn't immune to that reality. They're not the cheapest option and not the most expensive either. But they're the kind of crew that stands behind their work, and in this city, that's worth writing a review about.

Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Shoutout to Mario! They really respected our home and were very considerate of us during construction.
