First of all, I recommend that anyone planning on remodeling their kitchen or bathrooms go to the show room at Payless kitchen cabinets. Being able to see the product installed somewhere gives you a lot more confidence in the outcome of your remodel. Before I visited, I was a little bit nervous but once I went into the showroom, met with Caroline and worked with my wonderful salesman Sean, I felt much more confident in what everything would look like when all was said and done. Sean was my salesman came to the house, did the measurements and helped me figure out exactly what it was that I wanted to do. Caroline was my project manager and she was always very responsive and handled everything that I needed her to handle in a very timely manner. I will say, on pretty much the only negative note for the whole process, that they are a little bit technologically behind. If you are expecting to see a layout of exactly what your project would look like, like you might see on HG TV, you will not get that here. That requires some high dollar technology and I don't know of any cabinet or kitchen remodeling places that do that level (it is TV after all). However, it is best to ask for a drawing since I found some discrepancies in what we had talked about (or maybe what my expectations were) and what they had planned on doing. It's all part of the process and they were good about making the corrections and putting me at ease. After installation of the cabinets, I noticed a hairline crack in one of the cabinets. Payless Kitchen's came out within two days and rectify the situation. They had to come out one more time because of an alignment issue on one of the cabinets and my new oven, there was never any question on whether they would come or not. He fixed it and it's all wonderful now. My cabinets are of wonderful quality and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. All of the installation teams were very nice and knew what they were doing. They showed up when they were supposed to, they finished the project when we planned for it to be finished and I am thrilled with my new kitchen. I visited their showroom back in September, they're local to me and I wanted to see what they were offering. I found their ad on LA Times, Glendale is about 15 min away so I went to check it out. I was immediately greeted and welcomed by a friendly receptionist, they even made me hot coffee while I took a look around. They have a nice showroom, full of showcases and samples where I wanted to touch and get a feel for the products I was going to purchase. They were the nicest company I contacted, it's almost like you have to keep calling the other companies to get an estimate, with payless I got follow up and communication. I set up an in home visit, they sent an email confirmation letting me know who's coming over - also a plus. Sean was the specialist who gave me the estimate for the kitchen.. So far I had contacted 5 companies, and only 3 got back to me.. I felt comfortable so I decided to go ahead with Payless Kitchen. I got Caroline as a project coordinator, she introduced herself the very next day - she helped coordinate our schedules, and my kitchen was completed in 4 weeks, there was a repair that needed to be done after the kitchen was completed, but as soon as I called, I was transferred to Caroline and she scheduled the repair. My wife picked beautiful options for countertops and cabinets, we love the colors put together. It's honestly gorgeous, it really opened up the house and made our kitchen somewhere the family wants to spend time in. I've shared before & after pictures to see the difference of how our dark kitchen turned into this beautiful open bright space. I'm really happy with the service and the end result, I've told my neighbors about Payless Kitchen Cabinets, I found a company I can trust that will do quality work at a price I can afford. read more

I have been trying since January 13, 2021 to get them to come finish my shower remodel and flooring. The installation was unprofessional from the start. They sent someone out 1/31 and he made matters worse and was sent out to fix everything. My project manager Lynette said he was to take care of everything. I have been dealing with her for all of my concerns not getting any where. I finally asked for a supervisor and she told me the supervisor would contact me. That was on Tuesday. Today is Thursday I've called her and emailed her. She told me yesterday the supervisor will me. She told e today, 2/3, that she would remind supervisor to call me and no one as of yet has contacted me. The workers that they sent out do not appear to know what they're doing. The first installer had a young helper doing my flooring and he cut my door moulding in error. The lead worker said he would replace it, but instead he just added pieces to the existing moulding. The worker they sent out Monday the 31st to correct the work, absolutely did not know what he was doing. Per Lynette he was to fix everything. Well he didn't. The wall had a bulge in it which prevented the doors from closing. He worked on that all day. Didn't fix the problem. He removed my faucet and when he put it back on he put it on backwards. The hot is cold and the cold is hot. And not to mention that he didn't turn back on my water supply before he left. I would not hire this company to do any work because they are not professional. We found Payless through the LA Times, they had a special in the paper and I called to set an appointment. We were introduced to Avo our kitchen specialist. I want to say a special thank you to Avo for listening to all my questions and what I wanted as the end goal for this project. He gave my husband and I great input on what design suited our kitchen the best. We had gathered other estimates, but Avo impressed us. The presentation lasted about 30-40 minutes, and then a couple hours on hashing out the details of what we wanted for our specific project. (ONE STOP SHOP - we also got new tile flooring!) I was VERY anxious on getting our kitchen remodeled after hearing friends' horror stories of no access to water, issues with the countertops and other headaches that no one has time to deal with. Payless kitchen cabinets, has a solid team,they work together and made my kitchen project as stress free as possible. We had a kitchen specialist assigned to the project, a project manager who was in charge of scheduling and an installation team. The installers came in and were very considerate in entering and exiting my house, keeping the area clean and leaving us very happy with our beautiful end project! I have recommended Payless Kitchen Cabinets to everyone I know who is considering a remodel. The day Avo arrived, my home was in a bit of chaos with cleaning ladies, handymen and a few neighbors stopping by. Regardless, Avo remained patient, polite, jovial, and professional. He spent as much time as I needed without rushing or pressuring me at all. He offered suggestions, answered all my questions, put my doubts to rest and I felt more than comfortable signing a contract that very day. He patiently offered a variety of materials to use and assisted me with professional suggestions. My project manager was Carlos who was equally as patient and accessible. All my concerns were immediately addressed and handled. If there was one small item it would be that Israel and his team could have cleaned up better and were occasionally late, but things happen. I actually go into my new kitchen every morning and hug the granite counters...still can't believe this is my beautiful kitchen. Payless kitchen cabinets is an awesome remodel company. Especially, the people I have worked with were the best I have ever had. Sean was extremely helpful with quotation, design and best of all finding a solution to any problem that arise in this process. Sean asked questions to get a sense of what we really envisioned for our kitchen. I was very skeptical at the beginning that he may just be another salesperson (I had several already), but he really took his time in understanding our needs. Best of all he quickly replies to emails, which is great for me because it is my favorite communication method. By breaking everything down and showing me diagrams on how they could complete a kitchen in 3 weeks (with warranty!!!), makes me feel in safe hands, because I'm a fan of warranty. As for the price, I could have gotten similar price for sure but not the material's quality and especially not with the warranty. Caroline was assigned to be our project manager. She was super friendly, accessible and communicated with me excellently by explaining all the steps of the project again. The first day of work is tomorrow for removal of our old kitchen. Absolutely terrible experience and complete waste of my time. I told Ruth who booked the appt that I wanted a tiled shower. She never said anything about what I wanted except the worker would bring samples. Joe shows up and says they only do manufactured wall systems and it is one big sheet. So Ruth completely lead me to believe they could do what I wanted and the appointment was a total waste of time. Then I asked Joe about replacing my kitchen counter. He takes measurements and leaves. When Joe emailed me the quote, it was only for the shower I didn't want, and it was an absolutely ridiculous price. I could remodel my whole bathroom with high end materials for less. Also I didn't see any info about the kitchen counter he measured. I called Joe to ask about the counter quote and never heard back. He's never followed up or responded to me. Then Ruth has the nerve to text me for a good review. Ha! Totally out of touch. To finish off the horrible experience, Tamar texts me saying his job is to follow up and make sure I had a great experience. When I replied and told him what happened, he never responded. Nothing about the experience with this company was good. Complete waste of my time, and they have no knowledge of how to treat clients. read more

We interviewed several kitchen companies before we chose PKC. It was not just because they had the best price. It was because they offered us more when we told them the price was over what we budgeted for. The other companies told me I would have to settle for a different cupboard or counter top to get the price down. PKC came back and said, we can lower the price and we can give you a few extras. Communication was great from the beginning. I was told what to expect, what I needed to do on my end, and the timeline. There was never a time when there was a misunderstanding or any miscommunication. They were always on time. They always did a great job. They always cleaned up after themselves. They did not mop the floors and scrub the walls- but, come on people- this is construction! You have to expect some dust or you are not being realistic. All of the teams that worked on my kitchen, were hard workers. They were professional and did a fantastic job. None of them left until I was satisfied. I have no doubt that if I have any issues that arise down the road, they will come back and address them. I am am so happy with my new kitchen! Lowes' representative came out gave a quote and left, we had zero connection to him and the company. And when embarking on such a great investment, I had to go with someone I could trust. My husband and I were very worried when we finally decided to go ahead and remodel our kitchen. We thought it'd be way over budget, installation would end up a wreck and we'd be stuck with a destroyed kitchen and thousands of dollars wasted. I like to research before hiring someone. We had a very good experience with Payless Kitchen Cabinets. We were quoted 3 weeks from demo to finishing the floors, cabinets, counters and backsplash- and they did it! We had a very old kitchen, that had special problems- and Walter, the designer, visited twice to figure out the best plan for our kitchen. He even talked us out of putting more cabinets in because it would close off the look of the kitchen. First the demo happens, then they remeasure for the cabinets to make sure everything is exact. Caroline was the project manager- she had good ideas about how to make things look perfect. You should go to the showroom to really see the cabinets, counters, hardware, etc. We made sure to get our appliances (stove, microwave, faucets etc) ordered right away so there would be no holdup. You will be dealing with separate contractors- cabinets, counter and backsplash, floors-- but Caroline schedules all of them and keeps things moving! Our 1990's old cramped kitchen is now beautiful- open and modern. Everyone has been very impressed with the workmanship and quality of our kitchen. read more
