Terrible communication. They have had my truck for 2 days, it is still not been diagnosed, it hasn't even been brought into the shop. They said they would call me back and give me an update and they never did. They said that my 8 am time on Wednesday was for the check in, which is nothing more than acknowledgement that they have it and it is waiting to go into the shop. Only time I know anything is when I call the dealership. Other reviews has mentioned they have had vehicles for 2 weeks before ever looking at them. read more

I called once for to see about warranty on service they performed. They transferred me to a full mailbox so call ends. Call back and now they put me on hold. Holding for over 10minutes is uncalled for. Customer service is not what it used to be. They should atleast check back every so often that they are trying to find someone. read more

Made an appointment for a check engine light on my f250, took them 8 days to "fix" it , finally picked it up and the check engine light turned on again. I went and dropped it off again and they held it for a week and kept giving me the run around. I had to show up in person just for them to tell me that they hadn't checked on it. Truck was sitting there for 5 days. Very poor service I still had to wait an hour for them to give me my keys. What good is the warranty if they want to take half a year to fix it. read more

I got nowhere and the person on the other end was clueless to what was required, could not give me correct prices etc and I could not get my answers. We had the best experience with Payne Ford, called and talked to them about our problem, they were very understanding, even though we are Winter Texans , they treated us like family, we took the truck up and they had the curiosity car take us back to Harlingen, alittle out of there range, very nice driver! They kept us informed on the progress of the work, and finished in good time, again provided a car to come get us when the work was done. Was able to talk to the mechanic Gabriel , who was so nice and explained what he had done! We feel you couldn't get better service anywhere!! Very poor service department. Had my car worked on and less than a year later it needs to be repaired again. I tried to go through the service department, but all they do is take your number and never call back. This is really a shame because I have purchased several vehicles from this dealer. Not the best service. They sold me a vehicle that had some problems. My car had a little bit of warranty but with two kids, impossible to take it and leave it for them to service. They should have been more transparent. I have called numerous times for them to give me the code to my door, they never did. They did however take my money with glee. Not only did they diagnose it and cleared it for me, they told me honestly what to budget to fix it, also a couple other cosmetic things wanted fixed, and let me know a time to come back to knock it out, no pressure. I can't wait to drop off my truck here, these folks are very professional, very polite and I trust them. UPDATE: 28FEB HIGHLY recommended this dealer for work on your vehicle. I left my vehicle 3 weeks ago parked out front to be serviced with an appointment, I live very close by and we drive by every day and notice the vehicle still parked in the same spot I left it for the next two weeks so I began to call them regularly daily never to hear back from Jorge Rivas even though I would leave my name and number and a message to call back soon for update on vehicle knowing it hadn't even been seen. mind you this was a take back the vehicle because it's still running the same issues kind of appointment so with the 90 day guarantee it should have been no fee. I own a 2016 F350. It was taken to this dealership by the body repair company that I used to make repairs. It was taken there because the built in navigation system stopped working after the accident. I was taken there on March 30 and today it was picked up, April 12 so a full two weeks. In that two weeks these individuals in the service department lead my Jose Martinez could not figure out WHY the freaking navigation system does not work...REALLY! two weeks to discover NOTHING!!!! and then these asshats charged me $125 to do a diagnostic for which they did not diagnose what he problem was. I spoke with this Jose guy twice and each time he sounded as if he had no clue Un freaking believable!! I would not take a model toy to these inept people. TWO WEEKS--and NOTHING!!! We are from out of state, on our way home to an important event our car had issues so we dropped it off Wednesday morning.06/02/21 The communication has been a disaster with wrong and different information being given each time I've called. I've been told the part would be there a certain day/ time. Then I was told it would be a few days. Then I was told possibly tomorrow 06/05/21 or the coming Monday 06/07/21. Called Saturday 06/05/21 and was told they don't receive shipment and that the parts had JUST been ordered the night beforeby someone in the parts department! Called them back and was told by a service member that it should arrive by 2:00 Saturday 06/05/21. Called at 2:30 06/05/21 and was told should be here by Monday 06/07/21. We will be still stuck in Texas come Sunday when we were supposed to be back for an event. Had communication been clear I could've found an alternate way home or at the very least been able to give proper notice. honestly I could've ordered the park myself and revived it quicker!! This has been the worst and most frustrating customer experience I've ever dealt with to date with a dealership. read more

So yesterday I called the service department for information on a warranty repair I needed. The button pane that controls the windows came loose and they told me to bring it in Saturday (today) and that they opened at 8:00 am. Well I get there, there's a long line of people and the doors didn't open until 8:30. Once I get in, I ask a service member if I am in the right place for a warranty repair. He tells me they don't perform those services on Saturday and I would have to leave it for a week. Well needless to say I'm not very happy but I left to ponder if I was the one who didn't ask the proper questions or these guys have poor customer service on the phone. I purchased a new 2017 Ford F-350 from this dealership 2 years ago and along with the purchase of the vehicle I purchase a lot of accessories to go with it. They did not have the clearance lights available or the floor matts and said they would call me when in, they never did. when I was looking to buy a new 2019 Ford Expedition I contacted the General Manager of the Dealership and explained to him why I would not buy from them because of the missing items they never gave to me that I purchased for my truck his response was he would look into it and get back to me. The only time I feel that these people cared about me was when I was trying to buy my truck. It has been down hill after that! I took my truck for some work with the warranty about a month ago, and I still am having the same problem that I has taken it in for. My truck has been in the shop there, since Monday and here we are Thursday and I'm still without my truck. I have spoken to Mr. A. Payne about my situation and he seems apologetic and tells me that will look into what is happening and that he will call me back, but I don't hear from him. I have received better service from another dealership that I have bought several vehicles from and after this experience I will never buy from Payne in Weslaco, TX again.
