They have a huge range of electronics goods from TV's to mobiles, and all the bits and pieces that go with, usually with better prices than other chain electronics stores. Since I discovered the chain a few years ago, I haven't been anywhere else, as their range is better than anywhere else. I've been in half a dozen times and every time I come away with just what I wanted. Also, their in-house warranty is actually worth something, as they do all their repairs themselves, and seem to know a lot more than your average Harvey Norman or Bond and Bond. Where is my 2tb hard drive from my repaired laptop!!! I sent a laptop in for an RMA which turned out to be water damage. I was find with paying for the repair, but I needed a damage report for insurance and for my accountant. A substandard report was given, the lady on the phone from insurance couldn't believe at how unprofessional it was. The repair was done without me even signing the document authorizing the repair and so I had to pay it out of pocket. When the laptop arrived back, one of the two hard drives were missing, 2td worth of confidential client and personal data gone and it was also quite an expensive drive. When pbtech sold me the device, the sales document clear shows a new drive installed and there was an additional drive installed from my previous laptop. But there current documents shows only one drive. The communication has been spotty at best and they have had over a week to review camera footage and look for the drive. I have contacted my commercial lawyer and the police to take further action, I have suspicion that the drive has been stolen and i can no longer remotely wipe it. Be warned!! read more

Don't even bother trying to contact this company, they never reply to your web email inquiries, there is no head office contact number because they don't want to speak with you and when you call their Auckland store and the staff are unable to answer your product questions and you ask for the Store Manager to call you back you never hear from them. Absolutely disappointed with the service in Pb Tech Henderson!! I bought the Microsoft Surface laptop 3 last Friday (27/11/2020). After installing Microsoft Office, I realize it's not working. I had tried resetting the pc, update the software, uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Office, it's still not working. I decided to go back to the store and ask it. One staff serve me nicely and advise me on those steps that I tried before. But I trust his professionalism, then I bring the laptop home and try it again. Unfortunately, Microsoft Office still not working in the laptop. As a consumer, the first thing I think about bring it back to the store either fix it or ask for an exchange/refund. I went back to the store and meet the same guy then told him the story. He said I have to call Microsoft because it is not their problem. Then I said I bought the laptop here why not come back here? I want to do either an exchange or a refund! He said I can't do an exchange or refund as it is not a hardware failure. I mean who knows the problem, it can be a hardware problem! This store attempts to rip customers off! Not only fails to provide correct advice, but provides the worst customer service, as their manager directed customers to 'go to another store.' Customer wanted to buy an ipad 2 air, and the manager attempted to use an ipad air and said it was ipad 2 air! This is absolutely ridiculous. Highly not recommended! This store not only fails to comply with the Customer Guarantee Act, but also has the worst customer service. We will be reporting this to the Commerce Commission on Monday. read more

This store is full of racists. They gave the dirtiest looks to me and left me standing at the desk for literally 10 minutes while they continued with their work after just helping someone. Very rude and not to mention overpriced when I found the exact same item online after being disappointed by this store. The online item was about 20 bucks cheaper!!! Waste of time. read more

PBTech has been around since 1 shop out Ellerslie way. My first experience with them then was not a happy one and had to resort to Disputes Tribunal to have my wrongly specified PC corrected to match the advertised specs. Since then I have given them a couple more chances and each time it has ended badly. They avoid warranty where-ever they can, they go all out to sell to you, but that is where it ends. After sales service? Don't think they've heard the term. Once they have your money? Try chasing up undelivered items, items not sent (cause no stock), it's like trying to get blood out of a stone. read more
