I didn't have a clue what he was talking about, but I nodded politely in all the right places and had a good chat with him about all sorts of things. I felt like I was in the movie Clerks for a while. It seemed busy enough with folk in and out, and lots of phoning going on but I think they make their money selling computers in bulk (I'm sure there's a more technical name for this like networking or something) to small businesses. The dude did like to talk about and told me all about them rebranding themself as a 'green company' with PC's that use infinitely less energy or something to that effect. I will keep me eyes peeled and consider a purchase if this comes to pass. A no fix no fee policy in here which is good.

When I phoned ML2 they said it sounded like a type of "ransom virus" and had dealt with one just recently. They called at my home within 24 hours and had the machine up and running in about 4 hours. The fee they charged was very reasonable considering it was a Saturday and I needed the machine urgently. Good knowledge, professional attitude, very skilled with excellent response. They definitely know what they're talking about and will work with you to find better and cheaper ways of printing things. They work to good turnaround times and in the rare event they've made a mistake it's been rectified quickly and without fuss.

I routinely clear out my clothes year to year and have handed in a few bundles of clothes here and happily at that. There are also clothes to buy in here, but they are hit and miss. They do however stock a reasonable selection of books and I have picked up a few for my Dad over the years who assumes cost me £10-£15. Oh how wrong he is. Warm friendly place that is rarely empty.

Plenty of info around about the Heart foundation and it always has wee hearts in the window that people have written messages on to their loved ones. Nice touch. Same day service costs a few pounds extra. Being a minuscule five foot two and a half inches (that extra half inch is very important) I pretty much need to get all my trousers taken up unless I got them from the "petite" otherwise known as "short arse" section of clothing stores. Since using Skint, I have become something of an tailor addict, getting dresses nipped at the back and tucked at the waist all over the place. It is amazing the difference a slight alteration can make. Bonus points for little bowl of sweets on the counter.

In terms of time they are pretty quick, and I think you can pay a little extra if you want it same day (not sure on this though!). I usually get trousers and jeans taken up, but I have had some significant alterations done to some expensive suits and they have done really good work on them. Again, I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think they might be cash only - the cost is usually under £10, so it isn't a huge deal. There are always sweeties at the till, which is a huge bonus!

Gregor took his time to take apart my custom laptop to determine the source of the heat which was caused by quite a few things. Gregor took this is in stride and was not phase when he noticed a few potential issues but instead focused on finding a pragmatic solution - which he did.
