I believed it was normal until I saw him and he made sure I was good multiple times through. We realized then I required a higher dose of freezing. I have had a root canal, 2 wisdom teeth pulled and all my cleanings and fillings in 12 years with him and he is great. He takes the time to expalain my options and cost of them as I do not have dental coverage. The girls are cheery and it is clear they all get along as the atmosphere is great. I now take my 3 kids there and they are actually excited when they need to see him. I have recommended him to friends who would agree with my review, and I continue to recommend him to anyone looking for a great dentist.

Very good for those who are afraid of the dentist or for small children. She really takes the time to explain all procedures to you in terms you understand and will go through all the options with you to choose the best treatment plan for you. She is constantly updating and perfecting her skill sets and if you go to her you know you are receiving the most up to date and efficient procedures. We love her, she's the best! Michelle, who is the front desk associate, is always friendly and welcoming. She keeps exemplary records on all of her patients and is very helpful. If she needs to contact Blue Cross or another carrier in order to check on the patient's plan, she never says 'you have to do it'; she gets on the phone and in a flash, she has the information we are looking for. I know Dr. Thorpe has a couple of dental hygienists and chairside assistants; however, I only have experience with Erin. No lie - she is the best dental hygienist in the business. I am a very nervous patient, even during cleaning, and Erin has a way to calm you down. She never causes pain or discomfort and before you know it, you are finished and my teeth are super clean and bright. She's really lovely! I hope she never leaves Dr. Thorpe's practice. Chelsey and Betty, who are chairside assistants, are very sweet and really care about how you are doing. Dr. Thorpe must handpick her staff for their personalities and easy-going manners as well as their expertise. All in all, a very happy place to be if you are in a dental chair. Have gone back several times to fix the issue and each time the problem is "fixed" but never really is. Cleaning was horrendous, they had a new hire work on my teeth who had no idea what she was doing. I felt bad for her and for myself. The whole cleaning took 15 minutes!!!! Dr. Hsu was great at diagnosing for cavities but she doesn't qualify as a dentist. This place is a scam, going back to my old dentist. Don't be fooled by their promotions!
