I had the best experience with Bri. I've been getting waxed for years and recently had to find a new place. I'm glad I found a great new place that's walkable from my place. I had the Brazilian. I really liked the wax, seemed much gentler than what I'm use to. The environment was clean. I'm writing an update after four years for a few reasons. 1 - I still get Brazilians, and Miranda still does them as perfectly as she always has. She's truly great at her craft. She's even turned me onto a great facial skin care line that she uses, and it's in turn been fantastic for my face too -- I'm so glad she recommended it when I asked what she used. 2 - In addition to Brazilians, I've since tried full face waxes at Peace Love Wax (with Miranda also) and now am hooked! It started when my sister got a similar procedure but at a dermatology office; however, waxing is less invasive and has the same result (and less expensive). I love the way my face looks afterwards, and my makeup has never looked better -- not to mention how well and how much better skin care products work. 3 - Lastly, I will absolutely defend PLW -- and any other business -- from ludicrous attacks like some I see listed here complaining that the business won't disclose information that's none of their business. Before 2020 -- before any of us ever heard of CV-19 -- every single time we went to PLW or any other business, we always ran the risk of catching a cold, the flu, strep throat...heck, even HIV depending on the business. We NEVER called PLW or any other business absurdly asking for extremely personal information like their employees' influenza vaxx status, if they'd had an HIV test, or a strep test, etc. You do **NOT** have a right to ask anyone something like that! Additionally, the same population who may have an increased risk (perceived or otherwise) of getting sick were in the same boat before 2020, whether they want to admit it or not. Guess what? Nothing has changed. With a ~99% survival rate, CV-19 demands the same care we've always taken to avoid catching colds, the flu, and strep throat and such. That risk was always there, and CV-19 didn't change that. Whether the lady at the front desk, or the owner, or Miranda, or anyone else at PLW is vaxx'd is none of my business -- the same way that whether I am or not is also none of their business. I'm proud to support PLW and other businesses that dropped the ridiculous masks and that also don't violate their employees' privacy. PLW is a model that all businesses, large and small, should follow. I'm proud to support them, for many reasons. read more

Gotta say I'm extremely disappointed. I've been a loyal regular for years and absolutely loved them. Called for guidance on which estheticians are vaccinated so I can make an appointment with one since there are factors that make me and those around me high risk. They don't have a mask policy to require masks regardless of vaccination status. So, that's why I need to know. Since they do not require masks to be worn, they and whomever else that goes into the rooms throughout the day that may have covid will be breathing it into the air. Then others that go in afterwards are in danger of catching it. If they required masks to all employees and customers regardless of status (with the exception of during lower face waxing of course) - this wouldn't be as much of an issue since masks significantly reduces the amount of airborne particles/droplets and therefore overall risk. I typically prefer to support small, local businesses, and have gone to other businesses that vaccination status wasn't disclosed but instead had a mask policy. To me, that's great. However, when small businesses decide to not do the bare minimum to support customers during a pandemic, I'm going to have to move on. I'm sure some will say, "if you want zero risk, stay home." To which I say, don't wonder why customers aren't returning. read more

And one of the things I love about them is that they will remove ingrown hairs using special tools. That said, I know that each state has different laws, and each aesthetician is trained differently. Here in Texas, I regularly now see Kately here at this location, as she knows I'm neurotic about not missing any stray hairs, so she has both fixed other aestheticians' mistakes at this location, and only once fixed her own. I decided to come here as I was desperately in need of a brow shaping and based on the positive Yelp reviews this place was given, I thought to give this a go. The reception was warm and friendly. I was greeted right away and was happy to learn that not only do they accept walk-ins but you can reserve an appointment online as well. Kately, my esthetician, was very nice and helpful with tips on after care since it had been a long time since my brows were shaped. What a great place! Very clean and cute interior, really nice staff, and one bonus I like is that they send you text reminders and you can check in via text. I think the prices are really reasonable, there is no tipping so you pay what you book. Brianna has been my esthetician for all three of my visits and she is amazing! First let me say that I've been going to Peace Love Wax for the past 6 years and I really love their service and their employees are the best. I am only giving them stars because how much I do love them. As we all know this has been a trying year. I have not been "groomed" for over a year and because I believe in the science and vaccines I've finally have the nerve to try to get my normal back. Hey. It's just me. I called to make an appointment- which I usually do online but I called this time to ask for an employee to do my waxing who has been vaccinated. They told me they couldn't tell me who was or wasn't vaccinated due to HIPPA laws. I told them that they are not violating any HIPPA laws to just schedule me with someone who is vaccinated. There is NO law that says you can not ask if someone is vaccinated. Long story short- I took my business elsewhere. In today's world, you would think a business, especially a business of this kind would have serious concern over the health and safety of their customers by making sure everyone is comfortable enough to have a luxury service done for them. I would like to resume my service with them only if they are willing to schedule me with a vaccinated technician. It is my right and it is my body. In the meantime I suggest this business look up HIPPA laws or have an attorney explain that no laws are being broken when a client asks to be scheduled with a vaccinated technician. Thank you for responding. As I do understand it from your point of view, please don't use HIPPA violations to stand by your policy. A business such as yours, it only makes sense for your technicians to be vaccinated to protect themselves and others, but everyone has a choice and I know you can not make someone take a vaccine. It would be nice to talk to your technicians about clients concerns and if by chance any of your technicians would like to reach out to me, I would be happy to schedule with you guys again. read more

She's super professional and very welcoming which makes you feel nice and comfortable while she waxes your lady bits (I got a Brazilian wax). The clinic is super clean and doesn't have any strong perfumes smells which is a plus. Really thankful that I found this place! This was my first time getting my brows dyed and getting a lash lift but Melissa Smiley really helped me through both processes. She was patient and explained the steps with me and was honestly just really personable and great to talk to. One of my biggest worries was having my brows too dark so she did a light brown at first and told me that after the first time you wash your face it fades - and she was right! I was busy with work so 6 days later I called back to get an appointment that same day & Melissa was available and redid my brows and didn't charge me!
